Goldings Lodge Reviews

John
A great few days away at Goldings lodge. Visited St. Leonards-On-Sea. A great place for a day out. Not too commercialised. Loved The Goats Ledge beach bar. Goldings is very dog friendly. Will be back.
David
A lovely place to relax in the beautiful Sussex Country. We were blessed with a sunny week and warm evenings, which we spent sitting on the spacious, covered veranda in the secluded garden. The cabin was spacious for two people ,clean and well furnished. There is a lovely spacious bathroom with a powerful walk in shower. The Castle pub is a short w alk away and the Hub for breakfast and lunches. A good location for accesing the local area.
Marion
This is a quirky lodging set in a very pretty garden. Its extremely peaceful and the deck is a lovely place on a summers evening. Dogs would love it as much as their owners I think. The Hub sells tasty cakes, wish we could have tried their pizza and cocktail Friday evening. Walkable distance to Bodiam Castle and the local pub.
David
The Lodge was idyllic, in terms of location, privacy and comfort and is undoubtably the nicest place I've ever stayed. The interior decor is superb with gorgeous curtains and woodwork and the large decked area made you feel you were in another country with the overflowing floral wall basket. There was lots to see and do in the area with a steam rai lway and Bodium Castle on your doorstep along with a host of other English Heritage and National Trust sites and the coast nearby.
Kathy
The Goldings Lodge surpassed our expectations. The bathroom is massive. The bed comfortable. The kitchen lounge area had lots of space. The fridge big enough to hold 2ltr bottle of milk. We only had salad in ours as,we only went for a short stay. No local food shop for supplies in walking distance that we chanced on but The Hub a short walk from th e let has gorgeous meals. Alot of personal touches inside too.. The outside seating is generous and comfortable. The beer fridge a bonus. Recommend

We had a lovely peaceful break here. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for next year. Nice walks, lovely local pubs, 25 minute drive to the coast. The lodge is very private and not overlooked at all. Great place to stay for us and our dog.
Lee

Graham
Simply creative and exquisite. Disabled access with ease. Clean and fresh. Beautiful secluded private garden to while away your peaceful time with a good book and a bottle of good wine. If you are nature lover of beautiful scenery and a rural idle this is the place for you. And don't forget the hot tub secretly hidden on the huge covered verandah. Totally recommended more stars than you can count on you hands. Wonderful. Bedding, towels dressing gowns included would recommend over and over again
Michael
We had an absolute lovely week. Tranquil setting with amazing views. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Good location for visiting local attractions. Lovely walks. The hub was great to pick up a tasty pizza. The only little thing really is a bigger fridge in the lodge woukd of been great. Although we were aware at the time of booking it was small. Thanks to John and his team for an amazing week. I've already passed information on to friends.
Helen
Fabulous quirky, romantic lodge. The garden/outside space/decking and the hot tub are what makes this property but the inside is equally well thought out and well equipped, with a fabulous bathroom. Great location for exploring with a castle, pub, steam train and kayaking within a 5-10 minute walk across the fields Great on side cafe serving fab br eakfasts The owner ( and his dogs) are all really friendly and helpfyl
Ian
Spent 4 nights at this property, whilst its in a nice location and very quiet. Place was in need of some TLC. Welcome pack poir 2 packets of crisps 4 t bags and 2 coffee sachets, hardly a welcome pack we must have missed out since other reviews stated they had a lovely welcome pack. No toiletries provided so bring your own shower gel, shampoo etc. Owner didnt give impression as welcoming, asked for a hairdryer he stated didnt like giving them as they used 2kw of electricity! Fridge pathetic
Tom
We had the most relaxing, enjoyable stay at Golding Lodge. The lodge itself has everything you could possibly need, with the added bonus of a sheltered decking area with hot tub and private garden. The location is idyllic, with a view of the castle which is a short walk away. This is a great place to stay for dog owners and really is dog friendly - we even arrived to a little welcome pack for the dog, complete with throw, towel, bags and treats, great touch! We will definitely be returning!
Julie
Awesome property - perfect for relaxing and taking in nature and the countryside. Attention to detail exceptional with a window in the trees to view Bodiam Castle and a seat on the patio to watch the sunset. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings made us reluctant to go out....will definitely be returning some time.
