Be Our Guest Cottage Reviews

This cottage along with the grounds it sits in were perfect for our visit to Cornwall. The cottage offered everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and because of Maureen's attention to detail the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and more. We will hopefully be back soon to explore more of the area.

Where do I begin? The place is amazing, Maureen is amazing, and it is very clear she adores dogs our dog got the biggest welcome and was spoilt from the off with treats and toys. Each cottage has its own gate onto a large, shared field where you can walk your dog and play fetch on our break, we had the field all to ourselves as none of our neighbours had a dog or at least, those that dig had other fields of their own. Considering pets are welcome the place is spotless. No dust, everything smelled lovely, fresh clean linen, perfectly clean bathroom and kitchen. Honestly, I cannot stress enough how clean the place was inside and out you'd have to see it to believe it. The attention to detail is fabulous too a fire was already laid out in the hearth ready to light, we were welcomed with a cream tea and milk in the fridge. There were towels and dressing gowns available just for use with the hot tub. The hot tub itself was already nice and warm and we were given a lesson on its usage. The garden was lovely and peaceful. It catches the rays all day long too and there are sun lounges, tables and chairs a plenty to take advantage. For those who use it, the internet is fast each cottage has its own WiFi network, and it appears to use a microwave link back to the main house which has a near perfect performance. We happily stream 4K television while we were there, it never stuttered once. I did not test the latency, but I suspect it is low enough to game not that I am suggesting you game while on holiday in Cornwall as there is plenty to do. If it helps, and for those who use it, the entrance is at innovator.simulates.plug I didn't see this on any of the sites Google maps has the place listed correctly but for those who use alternative sat nav systems on their phones the above may help. Thank you Maureen for a superb visit. We hope to return one day.
Had a wonderful week away over New Year despite the weather being dire. Be Our Guest is beautifully decorated and equipped and had everything we needed for us and our two little dogs. The garden is fully secure even for our tiny miniature dachshunds. We didn't use the dog walking field behind the cottage as unfortunately, our dogs are divas and don't do wet tummies. We didn't know how to access it, but Maureen soon showed us. We hadn't appreciated it was accessible from the garden. We only used the hot tub once as it was raining every other day, but it was lovely. The dogs loved the selection of toys Maureen had left but sadly they weren't able to eat the treats left for them as one of our dogs is on a special diet. Sofa is lovely and comfy as is the bed. We slept very well all week. Absolutely loved the bath! We had organised a food delivery which worked really well, they had no trouble finding the place. Only downside for us was we had got held up by traffic so we didn't arrive until after dark and got lost. Quick phone call to Maureen and she gave us directions. The outside light wasn't working either which made unpacking a challenge, but we didn't venture out after dark again so it wasn't an issue. We will return I am sure and hopefully in the better weather.

Our second visit this year which speaks for itself. All the comforts of home in a lovely surrounding. Maureen is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble. We have already booked for next year but this time for 2 weeks with our dog Bella who loves the field attached to the cottage.. One week goes too quickly and there are so many lovely places to visit. Cannot fault this little nugget in the heart of Cornwall. Sandra and Graham
A lovely place, perfectly located with a wonderful host
This was our second visit to Nantrisack. We stayed in Phoenix 1st time which was amazing. Be our guest cottage is just beautiful clean, comfortable and spacious. We visited St Ives, Newquay and Perranporth all within half hour of the cottage. The hot tub is huge and after a day of walking with the dogs, there's nothing like relaxing in the tub. The only downside is leaving, I wasn't ready to come back home
We had a lovely holiday, the cottage was everything we had hoped for and more. It was spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful, thank you,
Gillian
We enjoyed a fabulous weeks stay at Be Our Guest cottage with our two little dogs. , Maureen and John made us most welcome and the cottage had a lovely homely, welcoming feel. It was immaculately presented and as comfortable as home., accurately described as on your website. The only minor feedback comment we have is that we found there was not enough hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang used towels and the bathrobes which would have proved useful especially after using the additional towels for the hot tub. Thank you. Gill and Steve Jansen.
Graham
Lovely position for travelling around Cornwall, and a beautiful cottage with every comfort you need. Our dog loved the field we had access to and the treats left for her. Maureen our host was on hand if we needed anything, and her sunny nature was a delight. The cottage was spotless and we plan to return next year.
Victoria
Thank you for an amazing experience. The cottage was 5 star. The detail that you have put into the cottage is awesome. You've thought of everything. Maureen welcomed us with open arms. So friendly and kind. Loved the hot tub! Thanks again. You made our holiday very special.
Great communication with owners prior to and during arrival Great location and ... Great communication with owners prior to and during arrival Great location and very peaceful Beautiful cottages and very well thought out Different themes throughout other cottages Nice to have a personal touch if you want something different then this is the place to be Great outdoor space to relax daynight
Lovely place to stay. Has everything. Very clean and tidy. Very private. Excellent if have furry ones with you plentyof walking space. Excellent location close to east west and southern beaches. Would recommend to anyone. Owns should be really proud of what they have created with this gem of a place.
We had the most wonderful holiday over Christmas 2022 at Be Our Guest Cottage. The booking was easy and the communication from Maureen prior to our stay and upon meeting us at the property was exceptional. Such a nice lady who is very thoughtful. This place is a real home from home, if you need it they will have it. It was spotlessly clean with some wonderful touches for the Christmas stay, not only for us but for our 2 German Shepherds too. The bed was super comfy, the hot tub was amazing, and everything was provided to make our Christmas lunch so we didn't need to rush around or worry about not having a turkey! The enclosed field was safe and perfect for letting the pooches have a run. We loved the peace and quiet too, but it is not too remote as it is only a short drive to the main supermarkets. 1010 Perfect and thank you. In fact, we loved it so much that we are going back for Christmas 2023
Nichola
Had a fabulous one week stay in be our guest cottage. You can see the effort the host maureen has gone to making sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The cottage was amazingly clean. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend to all. Thank you again Maureen
Darren
The cottage was in a lovely quiet location and felt very private. Was good for dogs with a fully enclosed garden one gate at side of property had a gap under it which small dogs would fit through and the adjacent dog field was great for exercising and keeping dogs entertained. The accommodation was very comfortably furnished. Such thoughtfulness went into the accommodation arriving to cream tea cold bottle of wine in fridge was much enjoyed the bits and pieces in kitchen and bathroom just in case you forgot anything critical.
Michelle
We just loved this property. As soon as you open the front door you are blessed with the cleanliness , the look and welcome. The property is very spacious and has everything you need. The hot tub was my favourite I was in there everyday! We will definitely be going back again.
What a wonderful find! Be Our Guest is our new go to piece of heaven. Maureen and John are very welcoming and friendly. Our escape artist spaniel was prevented from escaping by the secure garden and everything was perfect. We can't wait to go back. Thank you so much!
Darren
A lovely property in a rural location but only a 510 minute drive to the shops or the beach. The owner was very welcoming and explained how the hot tub and electric gates work. And the cream tea and chocolates by the bed made it feel really special. A fantastic property, would definitely return.
Justin
Absolutely beautiful holiday cottage. We stayed in be our guest and it was lovely
The property is gorgeous and Maureen is an absolutely fabulous host! !! It is obvious why the site has won awards in the past!! Every little detail was thought of, with household products, teacoffeemilk etc provided for us for that all important brew after a long journey. Maureen called us a couple times on route to check our arrival time and that we didnt need further directions, which was a lovely touch. She even directed us to the nearest take away as we arrived so late due to traffic, which was a God send! Maureen was even annoyed we hadnt told her we got married the day earlier, and insisted that we had a bottle of champagne as a congratulations, and would not take no for an answer!! And it was one of the best drinks weve had in a long time. This was such a lovely gesture, and not expected at all!!
Fantastic property. Have stayed before and will return again. Maureen is so welcoming the property and the hot tub are amazing.
Sophie
Nantrisack holiday cottages go above and beyond. Their attention to detail and flair for that extra mile really makes for a special holiday. Maureen greeted us like old friends and greeted our dogs like that too, even giving them treats and fuss upon arrival. There is everything you could want for a fantastic weeks stay, even the dogs had their own toy box and treats! Even though the place is dog friendly, there was no dog smell at all, it was fresh and extremely clean. We're going back in July for our fourth time and we cannot wait. Thank you for making it so special!
Fantastic Be Our Guest Cottage was beautifully presented, luxurious and exceptionally clean. Everything you could possibly need was there, including a delicious welcome pack. The owners Maureen and John are incredibly helpful nothing is too much trouble, and they are very welcoming. The location is perfect for visiting virtually any part of Cornwall . This really was a calm oasis away from busy lives, and will definitely be booking again. Thank you Maureen and John Dawn and George
Deborah
The cottage was wonderful and very comfortable its a home from home and the hot tub was the biggest weve ever been in. The starter pack was great and everywhere was spotless. Maureen was very helpful and let us in earlier on the day of arrival. We hope to visit again very soon. Thank you
Claire
An absolute fantastic cottage, set in a lovely private setting. A very warm welcome for us and the dogs. Maureen and her team do an amazing job and went above and beyond, very attentive and on hand if needed. We wanted for nothing. Very relaxing, and home from home. We would recommend these cottages to everyone. We will be back as we have found a total gem. Thank you to Maureen and her team. Claire, Sam, Leia, Rey & Sky x
Claire
The property was beautiful! There was everything there you could possibly think of. So quiet and relaxing. Everything was spotless. Be Our Guest cottage had such a homely feel to it. The decor was so quirky! Maureen was lovely in every way. Couldn't ask for a nicer person! She looked after us and little things she did for us made our holiday that little bit more special. Will definitely look into going back in the near future!
Rebecca
Maureen made us feel extremely welcome at the Be our guest cottage. Amazing facilities, would 100 recommend, and would love to return at some point.
Charlotte
We had the best week at be our guest cottage. Cream tea and a bottle of prosecco on arrival as well as dog treats and toys. The owners had literally thought of everything from cleaning products to dog towels. We'd packed way too much not expecting half of the little extras to be there. Bubble bath and hot tub added an element of luxury and were much appreciated after a long walk along the coast! The excercise field at the back was perfect for our two spaniels who loved exploring. Would definitely recommend and we will be back at some point in the near future!
There are considerate and thoughtful touches everywhere. I see something new that is pretty, interesting, useful or luxurious every time I look around. It's comfortable and relaxing. Our dog loved the exercise field. The shower is great, as is the bath and hot tub. The location is perfect to visit anywhere in Cornwall. The bed is probably the most comfortable we've slept in away from home. We look forward to going back.
Steven
Be Our Guest Cottage is absolutely wonderful. We have stayed in many lodgescottages with hot tubs over the years and this one is right up there with the best. I cannot recommend it enough. Enclosed garden great for our Scottish Terrier Bettie, hot tub amazing and the cottage extremely well equipped and to a very high standard. We packed a lot in during our stay and the cottage is a great base as you dont need to travel too far to visit the wonderful sights of Cornwall. The Red Lion in Blackwater is a great place to eat and drink super home cooked food. The fish and chip shop in Chacewater also excellent but beware huge portions! For lovely Cornish Pasties visit St Agnes Bakery again delicious. Cannot wait to return.
Vivienne
Accommodation was excellent, great location. ...and that hot tub was heaven! Maureen was very friendly and helpful on our arrival and although we didn't need her during our stay we were confident that she would have helped in any way she could. Very dog friendly too. Loved it will definitely return
Samantha
The cottage is excellent so not even think about moving into the next property on your list to consider it. It's brilliant, lots of love went into the decor and it's so well presented too. The owner provided lots of little things such as cream tea and some milk, tea and coffee and some toiletries which you normally don't get elsewhere. It's dog friendly so this made it perfect for us and the owner also had dog treats and towels left for the dogs. Dogs can't be left alone but I guess that's understandable as it's not their own environment. It's close to the Perranporth beach only 10 minutes drive. Owners on site in her own home but she gives you privacy after meeting you and she is super friendly and helpful. Hot tub has lights surrounding the tub and garden. The owner even provided a bluetooth speaker. Roll top Bath was a lovely experience. The experience made us rebook to another cottage on site for next year. Benson and Toby my dogs gave it 1010.
Beautiful cottage and welcoming hosts, couldnt have asked for anything more! Would definitely recommend didnt see much of Cornwall as couldnt drag ourselves away from our gorgeous holiday home!
Superb host , cottage was very clean cosy and was central in Cornwall for most locations
There was no outside Fire Pit which was mentioned in the description.
Leanne
Maureen was a fab host and the cottage was beautiful. We would not hesitate to book again!!
The holiday cottage was very beautiful, clean and comfortable. From the information you provided regarding COVID, i expected it to be a little bare and for there to be little provided beyond the basics, so I took a lot of stuff with me that I didn't need. Cleaning products, wipes and sanitiser was readily available along with toiletries, blankets, kitchen supplies, and soft furnishings such as cushions.
Dianne
Absolutely loved the cottage, had everything and more, the garden and hot tub were amazing.
The new cottage was fab and amazing once again. Had a problem with the heat in the jacuzzi which Maureen rectified immediately whilst we were out for the day. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Maureen who is on hand to help and assist if required. We have already booked for 2020 as it is a fantastic place to stay and our two dogs love it.
