Beautiful cottage. Had everything you needed. The box of toys for the dogs was lovely. Would recommend cottage to anyone thinking about holiday with dogs. Cottage so clean you would not know dogs had been there. Will certainly be back. Maureen keep up the good work you do.
Where do we begin, Bear Cottage is all you can wish for with every home comfort provided. Maureen the Owner was simply amazing and was always on hand if required. We have spent an amazing relaxing 14 days in one of the best Holiday Cottages we have ever stayed in and cannot wait to return again sometime in the near future. Ian, Julie & Bonnie
Absolutely perfect location & beautiful cottage. Very peaceful with a totally private garden area to relax & enjoy the countryside surroundings. Cottage was extremely well equipped with everything you could imagine for your stay,in fact the best weve stayed at
Bear cottage was the perfect finish to our wedding and the most amazing place to spend our honeymoon. Maureen met us and explained everything in detail and gave us some recommended places that we could take our 2 dogs for dinner. The location is amazing and the little cottage won our hearts so much so, that we rebooked to return in 2024 for our first anniversary.
Our 3rd stay at Bear Cottage, lovely cottage, great location, beautifully clean and presented, we love coming back feels like home from home. Friendly welcome from Maureen. Can't wait to go back later in the year.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay during our wedding for 2 weeks. The cottage was immaculate and had everything and more you could want! Spacious living, lovely garden and hot tub overlooking views and a perfect field behind us to walk our dog on each morning. Great location for sight seeing cornwall. We are returning August 2024!
We had the best stay in bear cottage! Maureen gave us a very warm welcome upon arrival! It made for a perfect location to be able to explore Cornwall for the week! We will be returning for sure! Thanks again, it really was a special week for us!

This was our third time to Nantrisack and our first stay in Bear Cottage. The cottage itself is immaculate. There was no dust and considering the cottages are animal friendly we did not even spot a hair. Maureen was fantastic as always, checking in with us on the first day and showing us how the log burner worked. The bed is just amazing. A King size which gave us perfect sleep. The massage chair we were not expecting but I used this each evening and would highly recommend. As well as the cream tea, Maureen left a bottle of wine which went down a treat. The hot tub is good quality and you are not overlooked at all in the garden. Nantrisack itself is an ideal location for exploring Cornwall, everything is just a short drive away. We were not sure what a winter trio to Cornwall was going to be like but we were definitely not disappointed. We are already planning our 4th trip to Nantrisack, the question is returning to a previous cottage or trying another new one! Bear cottage is a contender again!
Lovely comfortable cottage, great location. Maureen came to greet us on arrival with goody bag for Morag, our border terrier and went through heating controls etc, nothing was too much trouble. Planning our return already, will definitely be back.
Jessica
A beautiful, modern holiday cottage with everything you could need during your stay. Brilliant and helpful hosts who made us feel very welcome with really thoughtful touches left for us and our baby. The cottage itself was very clean and in the perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Set in a private spot with a fab hot tub ,secure garden for the dog and a large dog field to use next door.
Our second stay here Absolutely beautiful cottage hot tub, wood burner, accepts furry friends what more could you need! Maureen & John are both lovely, very welcoming and make it known that theyre there if you need anything very approachable! Thank you x
We had an amazing stay in this very stylish, well equipped, immaculately clean cottage. Maureen gave us a lovely welcome on arrival and explained how to use everything in the cottage. The cottage is in such a peaceful location, has everything you need, the private field for your dogs is brilliant. The location is great for visiting all of Cornwall. We would highly recommend this property.

This cottage restored our faith in cottage holidays, we have had a few lately that have not been up to scratch, but this cottage was amazing from the time you pulled in off the main road. . Everything was as described , the property as fantastic views , the peace and calmness of it is what we needed as we had lost one of our dogs a few days before the holiday ,, it was booked for its name bear cottage as we called our dog Chloe bear
Allison
Firstrate accommodation and facilities from the bed and furniture to the toiletries.
The photos really don't do this incredible cottage justice! It was spotless and Maureen made sure we had everything we needed and more! She was so helpful and lovely which really added to our stay and even bought us a cake as we were celebrating my boyfriends birthday. The location was great, only 15 minutes to Truro and 12 minutes to Perranporth Beach by car. We loved it from start to finish and cannot wait to return again!
Catherine
We keep coming back because of the high standard that has been set. The cottage has everything and is just waiting for you to arrive. A lovely retreat and a good base for setting out on adventures. The dogs absolutely love their walks in the attached field and we love the hot tub to relax in everybody's happy! Again
5 star luxury, would recommend. Garden totally dog proof which is important for your four legged friend. Nothing too much trouble, the little added touches really made it a nice relaxing two weeks.
Sandra
We had the most amazing week at Bear Cottage. We arrived late due to traffic. Once we arrived Maureen, came up to make sure we had everything we needed. She is such a great person made us feel very welcome from the start. Nothing was to much trouble. The cottage is so lovely, you could not help but just feel relaxed. This place is definitely a labour of love. Great hot tub & fantastic slipper bath. We would absolutely recommend this place to family & friends. Thank you Nantrisack for a great time. Hope to see you again soon.
Was welcomed to Bear cottage by a lovely cream tea and a beaming smile from Maureen the owner. Everything about this stay was amazing all but the weather. However not even that could stop us from enjoying the cottage and its hot tub. Archie our dog loved his field and visits to the nearby beach. Thanks for a great week and hopefully see you again soon. Mark, Jill and Archie xx
Excellent facilities for humans and your furry friends and the field attached to property is an added bonus and a godsend for furry friends. Perfect location if you want peace and quiet with lots of places to visit plus plenty of walks nearby. Good eating can be found quite close to Bear cottage but not within walking distance. Looking forward to returning
Absolutely perfect. Myself, my husband and our 2 dogs have spent a perfect week here. Decor, is incredible and the overall level of comfort, thought and care which has gone into Bear Cottage is just mind blowing. We stay away on hols a lot, and never stayed anywhere as well thought out, comfy as this. Garden is perfectly secure for the dogs which was fab. Our dogs loved the dog toy station too! Beaches within a 15 minute drive perfectly situated for exploring. Would definitely return
Emmaline
We've just stayed for a week with our two large dogs. All of us couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The property is beautiful with every need catered for with a huge private field attached to the property, fully secure and fenced in to let our dogs have a good run. The surroundings all around the property are completely secure for dogs. Loved this place and didn't want to leave so we've already booked for next year. It's a great location for driving to different beaches. We went to a different place virtually every day we were there. Lovely local pubs too! Pretty much all dog friendly. Also, they left me a cake and a card for my birthday which was such a lovely touch! Can't wait to go back!
Jackie
Lovely cottage Beautiful decor Very comfortable and really well equipped
WHERE DO I START? Wonderful holiday cottage. Maureen & John owners have literally thought of every last tiny little detail which makes it home from home!...from spare brand new tooth brushes in the bathroom, to pens and paper in the kitchen, just every little thing has been thought of. The cottage is absolutely spotless such a high standard, and so comfortable. The hot tub is incredible, all you can see is Bear Cottage and fields and fields with the patio doors straight in to the bedroom. The cottage is so private with nothing overlooking. We actually booked a week here but left midweek for 2 days to go and get married, and when we got back the cottage had been decorated with 'Mr & Mrs just married' bunting, celebration balloons and champagne. We took some wedding cake to Maureen & John and they very kindly invited us in to their home for a cuppa it felt like we'd been friends for years so very welcoming!! Location not far from Truro, but in the little information book there is local take away information nearest supermarkets etc. Thank you for everything we will definitely be booking again.
Rebecca
Bear Cottage is a fantastic cottage with everything you could possibly wish for to make your holiday as relaxing and comfortable as possible. The setting is beautiful, the owners are extremely kind and welcoming and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We look forward to returning in the future!
The best. Great cottage which was decorated with so much love and includes everything you could want or need. Dog friendly and the dog walking field wow! 2nd year in a row for us be making it 3 next year. Mark, Kath and Aldo
Our second stay at Bear Cottage, and our third at Nantrisack Holiday Cottages. As always everything perfect at the cottage. We were most disappointed that because of the petrol shortage we could not venture far from Bear Cottage but a perfect place to be in those circumstances. Lottie our English Setter was perfectly safe in the garden and could exercise freely in the field.
Maureen
Bear cottage was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities that you could wish for. We were very central for exploring all of Cornwall. The Owner Maureen was very friendly and would go out of her way to help you. Our fur babies were spoilt by her with treats. We would definitely stay there again and would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for luxury accommodation in Cornwall.
Fantastic cottage with all you and our four legged furry friend could ask for. Very welcoming hosts who could not do enough for you. Peaceful and relaxed 7 days in a beautiful part of Cornwall
Beautiful cottage and made to feel welcome by Maureen who introduced herself shortly after we arrived. Everything catered for with little touches making all the difference. Will definitely consider going back again.
Nicola
Maureen was such a wonderful host and made us so welcome. The cottage was beautiful and much nicer than any holiday home we had stayed in before. She kindly lowered the temperature setting on the hot tub for me so I could use it as Im pregnant. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this place to stay.
Catherine
Had a wonderful stay. Weather wasn't the best but it was lovely to just stay in the cottage and get cosy. Dogs adored their meadow and staying out in their garden. Hottub was great to relax in and enjoy the garden with them. Got some fabulous wildlife photos too. Really enjoyed the stay, Maureen is a lovely host!
Dominique
