Carrick Reviews

Martin
We really enjoyed the beautiful, well-kept grounds, but the location was a bit tricky. The rural setting means a long, narrow drive of about 4 miles to the main roadand there’s nowhere lovely nearby to walk. Driving around here can be quite stressful too.
Jonathan
We loved the cosy cottage, it was easy to get to the pool building and the sauna was a real treat. The pool was spotless and warmand the peaceful surroundings made it perfect. Looe and Bodinnick are nearbyand Millendraeth beach is lovely too!
Emily

Alex
Lovely atmosphere, but if you’re after walking to a local shop or pub, it’s not perfect.

Our stay at Fox Valley cottages was fantastic! The place was super cosyand the pool was a lovely bonus. We loved the large grassy area for walking the dog off lead, especially the view from the top where I spent mornings on a swing. The cream tea was a sweet touch on arrival. Forgot a few things? Chris and Terri are really helpful and likely to lend you what you need. We’d definitely come back!
Laura
We found the place spot on for what we wanted. It’s cosy, spotlessand the facilities are just right - pool, jacuzziand sauna. The little games room with air hockey and table tennis was a bonus, especially since we had it pretty much to ourselves being out of season. As folks in our 60s, it brought back happy memories of playing rather than watching TV all day. Lovely countryside nearby, just watch out for the narrow lanes!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay, lovely touches throughout, would definitely come back again soon!
James
Great location, charming atmosphere, would definitely recommend it!
Jamie
We had a lovely, peaceful break here. The place was super clean and comfy, with lovely countryside views. Be ready to walk or drive around, as there’s plenty to see in Cornwall. The owners are friendly but give you space to unwind. Definitely a good spot for a chillout!
Martin
We loved our stay at Fox Valley Cottages! Everything we needed was right thereand the views were truly stunning. It was so peacefuland the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub after a day out. Plus, our dog had a great time running around in the enclosed field. Really well set up!

Honestly, we had a lovely stay at Fox Valley Holiday Cottages. From the moment we arrived, a warm cream tea and logs ready for the fireplace made us feel right at home. The indoor pool and hot tub were perfect, especially with the rainy weather. We also had fun in the games room playing table tennis and pooland it was great to see all the kids’ play equipment. Ideal for families, though you’ll need to drive for shops, pubs, or the beach. We’d definitely recommend it!
