Keen walkers will be delighted to discover that the property is located right on the Two Moors Way - Devon's coast to coast route. After parking up and unloading your belongings (yes, this shepherds hut even has a wardrobe), rustle up a tasty dish in the neat kitchenette; venture outside and relax in your very own private outdoor space, soaking in the rural views and toasting to a wonderful break over a cold glass of fizz, as your pooch plays safely. Spend your evening alfresco, sharing stories or playing games and take a dip in the hot tub, the perfect way to soothe your tired legs after a long day of sightseeing!

When the stars appear overhead, escape back inside to enjoy a blissful shower and transform the dining space into a plush double bed, ready to curl up and doze off into a relaxing slumber. If you can tear yourself away, visit the nearby St Andrew’s Church, a historic building known for its beautiful architecture and serene surroundings, or simply lace up your walking boots and head out on one of several footpaths and trails to discover your location on foot.

Close by, the village of Whiddon Down offers a convenience store and pub. While a short car journey will bring you to the pretty town of Chagford: an appealing moorland town offering a variety of eateries and independent shops, an open-air swimming pool (seasonal opening times) and plentiful walks to work off a pub lunch!

Two Moors Shepherds Hut Reviews

Well equipped hut considering its size! Lovely peaceful location Took longer than expected to heat hot tub didnt get hot enough to use until 2nd day. Paddock could use grass cutting as grass very long.
Hayley
As other people has put garden furniture, pillows logs should be providing it at no additional cost. Grass could do with cutting, especially if you need to pick up dog mess garden was advertised as being dog proof but was later informed that there was the gap underneath the gate so it was not secure
Absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again x
Sandra
We had a lovely stay, just what the doctor ordered! Thank you.
We had a very nice stat in a very lovely place. We enjoyed our stay enormously. More to come! Greetings, Paul and Helena De Panne Belgium

Two Moors Shepherds Hut is fabulously done with perfectly put together facilities, even down to usb ports. Everything worked, hot tub was bliss. If youve not been to Devon before it takes a while to get used to the tiny lanes but they were fun. Were a wee bit old to enjoy clambering over each other to get in and out of bed, but it certainly didnt spoil our holiday
Bernard
Very clever and comfortable fit out of the shepherd's hut , providing a relaxing experience, enhanced by the lovely pale green decor. The bed was extremely comfortable and easy to convert from the table. The shower and bathroom were perfectly adequate and immaculately presented. Our only criticism of this area is a couple of inches more width or reduce the size of the under basin cabinet would have made it easier for a larger person to use the toilet. The hot tub was fantastic, but I was surprised how much wood was needed to bring it from 18c to 37c End of June however once hot it kept its temperature for 24 hours after the fire had gone out, and only needed a small fire to top up The only other improvement I would recommend is More comfortable exterior seating , perhaps a pair of recliners , or Adrionic style chairs with cushions, this would have enabled us to sit out in the evening and enjoy the lovely views and tranquility.
Stephen
The mattress on the bed is a little past it which is the only reason your comfort was not top notch.
Kayleigh
The shepherd's hut had everything you need and is very beautiful. The views where great. We had the chance to meet both of the owners and they were very helpful. The hot tub was a bones. We would definitely be coming back and might even bring the dog with us next time
A very nice and comfy space. Hot tub was a good bonus and it was very nice to have a lot of privacy

We had a great week, great location, facilities were amazing, clean, and just perfect, great value great place, really would say 10 out of 10. This has been one of our favourite choices for a week away. Thank you to the owners for suppling local information and great facilities. We will be back
Arriving late at night after a long journey from York we couldn't find the shepherd's hut a quick phone call to the owner put us in the right direction and we wasn't disappointed on arriving milk in the fridge meant we could have a much needed cuppa! The hut has everything you need and is spotlessly clean a lovely hot shower and a very comfortable bed lots of fabulous local farm shops and Exeter is not too far away for a big shop we had a great day out at the Eden Project again not too far a drive but they're lots of fabulous walks nearby the hot tub was amazing and didn't take too long to warm ...... we didn't expect to wake up to snow I got very exited as we don't get much in York would have loved to have brought our dog but the journey is too long but if your not travelling far its a great safe place for them to run wild
Brilliant place to stay. Lovely and peaceful and personal touch

We had such a lovely stay at Two Moors Shepherd Hut! The owners had gone out of their way to provide a bottle to celebrate mine and my boyfriends Anniversary, as well as helping us with the hot tub when we had a slight issue completely on us very accommodating and friendly! The location was lovely for walks, pub food and views. Such a cosy and wholesome weekend and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic and peaceful getaway!
Great break away! The hut was spotless and had everything you needed available, the information pack provided had everything in you could think off, lovely rural holiday, plenty of walks in the near by areas, would definitely return!
A lovely little Hut. Had a nice relaxing brake here and the hot tub was a bonus. Met the owner who was very helpful. Would recommend.
We could not believe how wonderful the hut and all the facilities that went along with it were. It was honestly the best holiday weve had with our dogs and its in such a beautiful part of the country. There is so many nice places to eat and walk to, my only regret was not staying another night!
Had the loveliest stay here, the hut was so clean and cosy! Location was good, would definitely recommend and hope to return with our dog sometime next year
Francesca
