Cedar Lodge Reviews

We had a wonderful week, property nicely equipped, clean, warm, and the hot tub was fab. The pool on site was closed for refurbishment during our stay which we didnt know before arrival , this did not affect the stay this was a great base for visits out to explore. We went alpaca trekking, visited lands end, the Eden project and Tintagel castle amazing views , plus we checked out the beach at Newquay! Thank you excellent last minute booking.
Had a lovely relaxing week in a beautiful property. Great base for touring Cornwall and so quite peaceful and luxurious. The beds were amazing and slept better than I have for years. My teenage children loved the luxury and were never out of the hot tub. Thank you for the gifts when we arrived.
The house was fantastic. The online property description was accurate but the reality was even better. The Welcome Pack was a very pleasant surprise. There was only my wife and myself so there was plenty of room. we had a great holiday.
Teresa
We had a couple of issues that were rectified quickly lovely setting facilities in cottage good amenities on site good.
Nice accommodation, enough space in and around the cottage for a family. Bedroom fine and also the jacuzzi was superb.
Michael
Wonderful well kept and well equipped property. The hot tub was good but requires the jets cleaning as some were not working correctly. The area around the hot tub would benefit from a clean up, however, these are just minor details as the property was excellent and set in beautiful surroundings
Vanessa
A lovely peaceful place to stay, lots of lovely wildlife, butterflies and birds.
Rosemary
Beautiful area, helpful polite staff at the hotel area. The holiday home was very comfortable and a good amount of amenities and equipment for all your needs. The hot tub was a delight.
The swimming pool is far from the property. Mobile signal zero in that area. Very little things owner put in bathrooms. Like every bathroom only 1 tissue roll in each bathroom. 3 dishwasher tablets in kitchen lack of utensils in kitchen no oil etc

Very happy, we had a perfect stay, had a beautiful welcoming pack and each room prepared excellently from the super clean hot tub as well as cleanliness throughout to ticking all the feel good factor for our whole family.
Dominic
Really wonderful location, stunning property, clean, nicely finished, fantastic ... Really wonderful location, stunning property, clean, nicely finished, fantastic hot tub, all the amenities that one could ask for, for a perfect holiday, thanks
Didn't like having to get in the car to take our rubbish to the bins then trying to lift the lid on the big red bins, could there be recycling areas closer like the lodges on the site have then, would only have a small amount to go in the other bins, apart from that we had a great stay, lovely and quiet, hot tub great, outdoor furniture could do with replacing. Once we got to grips with the washing machine all was well. Bedrooms comfortably and spacious, lovely big bathrooms. Over all a great place to stay
Absolutely fantastic. The cottage itself is far better than the pictures make it out to be, especially the living spacedinning room area. Location is great, and the service from the agency who look after the property was really great too they arranged everything perfectly, spotlessly clean, and had everything we could need. Great job, thanks so much for letting us stay here.
Gorgeous property, really lovely location. The host left us a beautiful welcome package. The facilities were a great bonus to have. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. Only issue we had was a few cobwebs in the bedroom but that was easily dealt with. The entire property is well equipped wand lots of useful instructions on how to work everything. Would definitely stay again. Its a lovely lodge and great location for exploring Cornwall.
Pamela
The cottage was even better than the pictures. The hotel facilities and management company exceeded expectations. Everything we needed was there. The beds were very comfy and the layout allowed for a relaxed family holiday.
Pauline
Fantastic accommodation on edge of a private resort, surprised by a lovely, generous welcome pack. Only issue was access road to venue, although we followed owners instructions not to use SAT NAV, the access road from Wadebidge is a narrow lane with only a few passing places relieved my husband and was driving ! Other than this, a lovely stay.
The picture of our holiday home did not do justice to the home we had. We arrived and were stunned at the quality and small touches that were included, even a welcome basket.
Karolyn
The cottage was beautiful, clean and welcoming. Our family loved the spacious grounds and hot tub. We loved having use of the tennis courts and indoor pool too. The cottage is quiet while still close enough to Wadebridge to enjoy village life.
Great place to stay would definitely use it again and would recommend it to family and friends
The Lodge was very roomy and bedding, towels were very clean and the beds were made up and welcoming. This was the plus side. As a multigenerational family on holiday, I expect 1. A washer dryer that is user friendly so that we can do our washing and make sure we can take it home clean and dry. This is what we are always prepared to pay extra for! The one in the Lodge definitely wasnt! The manual in the Lodge did not refer the the appliance installed and on download sent to us by the owner required a technology degree to find out if we could use the dryer separately! We couldnt apparently! 2. Not to find crumbs on the floor and grease on the hob! I dont expect to have to resolve this myself. 3. Not to have to resolve the rinse aid light on the dishwasher before use! We went and bought some and I left the remainder of the bottle in the Lodge for someone else to benefit. 4. At least one shower to have a grab rail so that those less able have something to hold on to! 5. ALL of the heated towel rails should have been in full working order, not just ONE which could not be properly thermostatically controlled! 6. The shower doors should not be coming off the rails when you use the showers. I would like to say though that the local management company were very good and at least answer their phones very efficiently. Unfortunately the maintenance men sent were not able to resolve items 4, 5 and 6 above so those renting after us will have the same issues. Also, it is my understanding that under Covid19 guidance all toys and books should have been removed from the Lodge. They were not.
Steven
The property wasn't particularly clean. There was approximately a dozen cigarette ends outside on the floor. The bins outside were full when we arrived and next morning animals had been rummaging and rubbish was all over the floor. The money we paid for the cottage for the week, should of been in tip top condition. Unfortunatelybit wasn't. Regards Steven Byrne

Cedar lodge is the first lodge I have stayed in that exceeded my expectations. For facilities and comfort 5.surroundings10.old and young alike will enjoy cedar lodge equally.1 week was not enough.yes you have to drive along some tight lanes to arrive at hustyns but drive accordingly and it's fine there are many passing places.some of the best beaches in Cornwall are within 10 miles.also the hot tub is large enough for the size of the property which is unusual.all in all a great week I won't hesitate to come back.
Richard
Sykes just met my expectations, nothing exceptional. The actual property however was amazing
The stay was perfect if anything it was undersold how nice it was. We was very happy as a family staying. thank you
Great cottage and location, although the very narrow roads on the way to it once you go through Wadebridge town, might put us off from going again We didn't feel confident going out at night to look for eating places because of the single track roads in parts no lighting on these roads. It was bad enough meeting traffic during the day when we had to try to reverse to find somewhere for oncoming cars to pass. However it is a good base to see north Cornwall. We only had one toilet roll in each bathroom so take some with you, and we had to buy bin bags and dishwasher tablets as there were only 2 of each. There's only a single toaster so you will just need to be patient if there's 6 of you. For a cottage that size we would expect a 4 slice toaster but that's just a very minor point. Hot tub great and comfy beds. There were extra towels for the hot tub. We enjoyed our stay and the owner sent us very useful information before we arrived. Thank you.
Just spent a week at Cedar Lodge. Brilliant location for visiting all north cornwall. Lodge was in such a secluded quiet area , days full of cornish siteseeing, beaching, body boarding, cycling and more. Evenings spent chilling in a glorious setting with 5 star accomodation. Perfect.
Rachel
Fabulous spot to relax in the countryside, with plenty to see & do in the surrounding area.
Amazing place. The pictures do not do it justice at all.
