Lovely stay , would visit again , comfortable bed , nice sea view ,the hot tub was amazing , good sized garden for a dog everything you needed , just a slight issue when cooking with the smoke alarm but overall a really special place also a lovey touch with the scones cream and jam on arrival
Angela
Everything was perfect. Lovely peaceful location and a welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch. Secure garden for dog and a supply of logs and firelighters for woodburner.
Gerald
Loved the accommodation, plenty of facilities and with a quiet secluded setting, ideal for those who want a quiet away from it all stay. That said the lodge was only a short distance from supermarkets , garages and main tourist area such as Eden Project which is very near. One of the comfiest beds ever slept it. WiFi excellent, hot tub provided if needed. Overall very enjoyable stay would definitely return.
Nice accommodation, well equipped, view of the sea. Lovely area, close to many beautiful places to explore. Hot tub was perfect.
Estelle
Fantastic little lodge in an idyllic setting with all the amenities needed to hand. Beautiful sea views and local towns such a Charlestown a short drive away.
A nice warm welcome, thank you Paul. A truly home from home , private & comfortable, warm & would 100 recommend to others & we will definitely stay again in the future! Ps the hot tub was an amazing bonus !!
Melanie
Lovely lodge in a very peaceful setting with beautiful views out to sea. The owners were very helpful when needed and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
We had such a wonderful stay Sebright lodge. In a brilliant location with lovely views of the bay. The lodge it self was amazing and the host are brilliant and very helpful. Would highly recommend it for people looking for somewhere to stay in Cornwall.
Lovely cabin making great use of the space. Secure garden for the dog, lovely hot tub and comfortable accommodation. Directions and welcome from host all really clear. Great location to access a range of walks and lovely towns.
Thomas
Me and My Fiance stayed here 15th to 18th December 2023. We absolutely loved our stay. SEBRIGHT is a wonderful lodge. Very cosy for a couple and 1 dog. Extremely quiet, which is exactly what we wanted. Loved having the fenced in garden so the dog could just roam about. The wood burning stove was a real treat it was in constant use. Love the hot tub too, really added to the weekend away. The bed was extremely comfortable too. Only 1 little criticism was we could of used an outside tap to rinse the dogs feet off, but we bought dogs towels to do this. Also could of used couple of hooks on the toilet door or wall by the toilet to hang our coats instead of the floor. Overall fantastic weekend away and highly recommend
We enjoyed our stay at Sebright. The hot tub was nice to relax in at the end of the day. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. Great kitchen set up. Great location for exploring the area and some good walking trails on the doorstep. We found the Knightor Winery, 15 minutes walk away. Had a lovely Sunday roast and wine tasting experience. The only thing we would have found useful at the property would be an outside tap with a hose to wash our dog down after walks.
Joanna
Fantastic find and brilliant location. Great communication from Paul, who very kindly had the hot tub fired up for our arrival. Had some minor issues with figuring out the hot tub, but Paul came and sorted right away and was on hand for any queries. The enclosed garden was brilliant for the pooch. All facilities as described and ample utensils in the kitchen to cook a proper meal. Bonus having the washerdryer. Lovely touch with the scones & clotted cream. Weve already rebooked for next year! Thank you for a great stay!
Danielle
We did enjoy our holiday. The place was nice but smaller than expected, however the sea view was lovely. We do have things to note though. I think marketing as pet friendly is not quite accurate. We kept our dog out of the bedroom as much as possible as requested however, one time he snuck in while I was grabbing something from the bedroom and jump on the bed just once. He did get a few mud marks on it but to claim that you needed to replace the sheets and under sheets, we think is a little misleading of your title as petfriendly. Weve been to Cornwall before in other venues which have definitely been more accommodating for dogs, especially as a fee for having a pet there is already taken for the holiday. To then ask for 85 for new sheets I would recommend changing your accommodation details for no pets. The hot tub was nice, although Im not sure if everyone has used a firewood hot tub before, so maybe more information on this is needed for future holiday visitors. The bed was comfy and facilities were generally clean. We do believe there was either rats or some small animals scattering around outside but I guess to be expected for a location near farmland. Overall it was good, we had a discount due to booking last minute so we feel it fairly meets the price of booking we paidto experience of accommodation. However, if we had paid usual price, we are not sure we would feel the same.
Lovely peaceful place to stay , is a described . Owner lovely and very welcoming
Sebright was a wonderful place to stay, simply I do not believe there is a better place to stay than Sebright. The views were breathtaking and the privacy was enjoyed a lot by myself, my wife and our dog. Our dog had the whole garden to run around in as it was all enclosed. Our only comment to improve on would be the amenities like toilet paper could have been better.
Lovely position. Nice private garden to use hot tub. Only negative exterior of property and fencing could do with repairing but overall a fantastic place to stay and hot tub is a bonus
We had an amazing week at sebright Peaceful setting within a walk or short drive of pubs, beaches and shops. Everything we wanted and more. Perfect for me, my partner and our dog to explore Cornwall.
Caroline
Had a lovely stay and the accommodation was very comfortable. It was secluded enough to be private when using the hot tub but location is convenient for local amenities and areas to visit. Our only recommendation would be a couple of shelves in the bathroom and bedroom for toiletries make up etc. but the lack of this did not spoil such a lovely holiday.
Teresa
Was a lovely little stay hot tub looked lovely but by the time we managed to heat it up the weather had changed so unfortunately we didn't get to try it, hubby is a larger man so only just managed to get into the shower. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable and the view was gorgeous. The enclosed garden was a hit meaning we could let the dog have some off lead time outside.
Russell
Could do with bedside tables and shelves in the shower room. And instructions for hot tub and wood burner. Would have been nice to hear from the owners with a welcome or a hows it going. We didnt get a reply to how to check out or what to do with the keys or recycling.
Extremely clean property and feels like home. Owner of the property always happy to help and answers and queries immediately. Could not pick any faults with the place. Complimentary scones and jam as well as milk on arrival. Would definitely recommend to visit.
Alison
Adequate for amount paid. Better instructions needed on eg heating, oven, fire and hot tub. Suggest ironmongery for log burner. The bed was great, so comfy and clever storage space for clothes. Maybe a few more hooks to hang items Not a complaint but a microwave and hair dryer would be an asset .
We had a lovely stay at Sebright. It was just as described and we had everything we needed. John was helpful and only nextdoor if any help was needed .
Christine
Really enjoyed the accommodation, everything we hoped it would be. Wood burner made the rainy evenings much more cosy. Will definitely try and return
Warm welcome from the owner, talked us through how to use the hot tub, the cabin ... Warm welcome from the owner, talked us through how to use the hot tub, the cabin was clean and well presented we found the bits for a cream tea what was a lovely touch, there was also recommended pubs etc, we visited and they were very nice, the bed was comfortable, The hot tub was lovely we enjoyed several nights relaxing in the hot tub after spending the day exploring Cornwall, when we had questions we messaged the owner they got back quickly, everything we needed for a perfect week away, thank you so much will definitely stay again if we return to Cornwall
We booked sebright as a little getaway with our dog. I must say I was a little sceptical after reading the reviews. Sebright is a lovely, relaxing and private getaway in a lovely part of Cornwall. The owners heated up the hot tub for us as we travelled down so it was ready for us when we arrived. We arrived late as we couldnt travel as early as we wanted but the owners left the light on and the keys on a safe place so we didnt have to disturb them. The farm was beautiful, we didnt see much of it as we had planned days out already but we absolutely loved the privacy of our stay, 6ft fences all the way round meant that you had safety for your dog and private space. The log hot tub was just luxurious, you can feel the heat piping in. Lodge was spacious and had everything we needed, we brought food which we thought would be easy to cook given previous reviews but honestly you could cook a full roast dinner here, the comment about no facilities, scissors, mop they had weighing scales! We brought extra bits given the old reviews but ended up leaving them in the car. There was everything we needed to be honest. It was clean on arrival and there was some fresh scones, cream and jam and even milk in the fridge. We didnt actually get to meet the owners but they were very friendly when arranging keys, and were disappointed we didnt get to meet their spaniels! We brought ours! We didnt plan for the weather well but that was our own fault so we did leave late Sunday night, to beat traffic but the fire was a cosy place to snuggle up and watch a film. We felt it was close to the places we wanted to go and visit and was perfect for us. We have told many dog owners how we thought this was a perfect secure getaway and a lovely break for us too
Angela
Peaceful and beautiful setting, we both really enjoyed our stay Would have ... Peaceful and beautiful setting, we both really enjoyed our stay Would have liked a rotary washing line outside to dry clothes etc I know there was a washerdryer but it is always nice to dry outside It would have been nice for some simple instructions for the washing machine, dryer and hot tub There was no pizza cutter or scissors, maybe the owners could provide a list of what is provided so we could have brought the items we needed We like to book self catering holidays as it gives u the freedom and this place is perfect, thanks
We were supprised at the lack of some things we assumed would be supplied Toaster, hairdryer and maybe a microwave oven. We would like to tell the owners of a Knocking that occurs frequently on the right side of the cabin as you look from the front On the positive the location is close to the Eden project if people are going there
Samantha e
Very pleased with the property. Would love to stay again in the future. Perfect location for us a bit of walking required down or up country roads, lovely view of the sea. Clean, spacious, hot tub was great. Our dog was secure in the garden, lots of room to throw his ball. Bed was really comfy. Definitely recommend!
Lovely lodge in a very peaceful setting with beautiful views out to sea. The owners were very helpful when needed and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
Expensive, basic accommodation. Simple things like disposable dishcloths, tea towels and a mop not provided. Struggled to get items out of the oven 1st night as no tea towel or oven glove provided. Contacted Sykes on our 2nd day and I am still waiting for someone to get back to me. Wood fired hot tub provided with one bag of logs and a few fire lighters. No kindling so impossible to get the fire started. You cannot place logs onto firelighters. On our last day we were advised by the owner that there was to be an end of school party on site that evening and that he had neglected to tell us this when we arrived and apologised in advance for any noise or issues the party caused. We did not want to be around for this so decided to leave that day which meant we only had six nights which spoilt our last Positives is that it is a nice location and is near to local attractions and shops, the shower works well and the bed is comfortable but we would not stay here again.
Lovely location, lovely views. Enclosed garden was a good size for the dog to be safe in while we are in the hot tub. It was our first time with a wood burner hot tub not for us as it was probably an hour to heat up but was lovely when it did
Robert
Lovely private spot for a relaxing holiday well positioned for visiting local places of interest and particularly Eden project. Hot tub was great and all facilities needed provided.
Rachael
What a lovely find this was. The first time we were staying here, and trying to keep the honeymoon bubble going after recently got married. The location was brilliant with great directions, and could if possible put up a sign. You can easily spend the weekend here and no need to go anywhere the views were lovely and it was so quiet, perfect to switch off from the world. Even on a rainy day, it is still magical. The owner was lovely when first greeted us, and was available if we needed anything. We have never used a log burning hot tub before so was unclear the best way to relight but managed to sort it out. Would rebook for a relaxing getaway.
Had an absolutely fantastic stay at Sebright, was the perfect size for me, my partner and our little dog. The location is fantastic and loved that it felt secluded and private like our own peace of heaven we will definitely be back
