The hot tub and the sun loungers and furniture on the balcony made this a very relaxing base for looking around North Devon- be aware that that the lovely setting is quite a drive from the coast. This is a beautiful lodge. We stayed as a family and loved it. The large hot tub is off to the side and a great asset. The pool is so close and was generally empty. It is remote location, which is a great hideaway. Be prepared to drive a while if you want to go anywhere. We had a few days out and few days relaxing there. Cottage is very remote at the top of the valley and scenery is beautiful. If you want peace and quiet for relaxation and recharge place is idyllic. The hot tub is to the side of the cottage and perfect for privacy. Beds are very comfortable and is well decorated and equipped for self catering. If you want a lovely Sunday dinner book at the Clubhous e at Labbaton Golf Club, very nice and well priced. A visit to Instow beach is also lovely. Definitely stay again for a peaceful scenic break
