Driftwood Reviews

We had a lovely stay in Driftwood, very comfortable and the owner had thought of everything we might need. Lovely cornish tea as a welcome gift was great. We always got a parking space although some difficulty in maneuvering to get out, very narrow driveway, easier to drive past and enter the drive turning right. Close to beach and local eateries.

Highly recommended we stayed in the Driftwood apartment well presented someone ... Highly recommended we stayed in the Driftwood apartment well presented someone as taken great care in the decorating and furnishing it I would take a look on street view maps the entrance to the apartments is not that clear also I suggest you approach the apartment entrance on your right hand side
What a wonderful apartment, exactly as listed. The hot tub was set at a great temperature, and we enjoyed the fact that we were left to it for the week, with no visits to check on it. A lovely welcome pack was provided, which we enjoyed. The apartment was spotless, and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, so close to the beach. Just a few miles walk to Penzance, where we enjoyed a rib ride. The bus service is spot on, Portheven is definitely worth a visit. We only used the car once, which is unheard of us us. The neighbours were friendly. The two garden chairs in the front were a great place to sit and soak up the sun when back at base, and within sight of the sea.
Sandra
The property was spotlessly clean. The cream tea waiting for us was a lovely thought and there were lots of little extras left for us to use. A lot of love and thought has gone into the property. The hot tub was so lovely after a day walking and very private. The apartment was very comfortable and very well decorated. The only problem we had was with parking. With a small car it would be fine but ours didnt fit in the car park very easily. There are also not enough spaces for everyone. To go again we would need to take into consideration the cost of parking in the long stay car park for a week We loved our stay in Driftwood and would definitely go again with consideration to parking charges.
The property was excellent and well equipped The only major issue was not ... The property was excellent and well equipped The only major issue was not the property but the other people staying in the complex, they obviously have zero comprehension of Cornish roads and parking constraints large 4x4's just are not suitable vehicles for Cornwall or the car park at the property
This is a lovely little property, well maintained and equipped. The little extras provided by the owner are the icing on the cake, and very much appreciated. We return year after year, it's ideal for us.
Great place to stay, brilliant location. The owners have thought of everything. Definitely will return in the future.
Amazing property. The owner has thought of everything . Will hopefully return.
Catherine
The description says Ample offroad parking greets you upon arrival. There are 9 spaces and 15 flats. 2 spaces had cars in them that didn't move the whole time we were there, some cottages had more than one car. This is not ample. Had we been aware of the parking situation in advance we would not have booked this cottage. It's a shame because everything else is first rate. The description needs changing to accurately reflect the position. Parking in the longstay carpark for the week is going to cost you a further 50. If you are happy with either using the long stay or don't need to park a car then I'd thoroughly recommend it.
Very comfortable well equipped, modern apartment in good location, with lots of little extras to make it special. Well placed for touring around south Cornwall.

Beautiful apartment, everything you need plus added touches by the host!
Phillip
Fantastic location. Superb facility with all the comforts of home. Spotlessly clean and the hot tub provided a luxurious end to each day. The little touches like a Cornish cream tea on arrival made a real difference
We found the property very clean and tidy on our arrival, and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We had a problem with the tv in the bedroom, Debbie the owner responded quickly to try and resolve the issue which I found out later in the day was the aerial cable. The biggest issue we had with our stay was the parking. Bad parking from other residents ment that it was impossible to park in the spare space. We think that you should inform your customers that the public parking will cost them an extra 50 per week.
Colette
We were fortunate enough to meet the owner upon our departure, and were really happy we did so we could thank her in person! The property was spotless, well kept, beautifully decorated & in a great location. The hot tub was amazing and well needed after all the walking we did! Location is great, parking in a long stay over the road if no spaces outside property available, price not too bad for 24hrs 12.50 The listing does state dishwasher but there isnt one. Not a problem for us as a couple but does need to be taken off facility listing. The owner made us feel so welcome, she had left a little welcome cream tea package, which was delicious. So many little personal touches really made us feel at home & welcome. I would highly recommend this property for a short of long stay!
It was stunning in every way an amazing apartment and really good location would definitely stay again.
Brenda
Very quiet and secluded back garden with lovely hottub
Stuart
We had a fantastic holiday would definitely recommend very clean and everything you need
What a fantastic property, it's in a great position in a lovely village. The property was spotlessly clean and packed full of the little things that make it home from home, as for the hot tub WOW.
Beautiful property and well located. Clean and comfortable. No issues at all.
We have recently returned from a lovely week's holiday staying Driftwood, and was extremely sad to have to leave. The property is exceptional and has everything you could need, with the added bonus of the hot tub, outstanding and just the trick after a long day exploring lovely Cornwall. The owner has thought of your every need, including the extra personal touches and welcome pack on arrival which was lovely, the cream teas went down well
Stuart
Amazing property and so nice to relax and enjoy Cornwall
Although we found it well equiped it could do with a measuring jug and a mixing basin medium size
Anthony
We could see from the internet that the property was of a high standard and would suit our needs but we experienced much more due to the kind, thoughtful touches of the owner.
