A stunning home perfect for a lads holiday, with four extremely comfortable bedrooms complete with clean and cosy ensuite bathrooms (one of which included a jacuzzi bathtub which I personally and wholeheartedly recommend), a modern spacious kitchen, comfortable living/dining room space, and a relaxing porch for evening meals outside and a heavenly Read morehot tub, complete with a sweet view of the lake. Add to that a welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits, and milk, access to the very relaxing and friendly spa/resort just 10 minutes up the road from the property, and an abundance of sights and attractions to visit all a short drive away, this was a roaring success of a holiday thanks to the high quality of this home. Nice situation, though resort seems tired. Easy to access many places to visit, and convenient for shopping at Wadebridge. Ok for us, just there for a wedding. House spacious, though stairs hard work for older guests; should be clearer that 2 rooms are twins and have no view. Deck not used as wet, and anyway not keen on hot tubs - partly because thRead moreey lead to noise at night, as with the neighbours to the right ... Hide

We booked this house which looked ideal for our family holiday use. The site and location are superb for a family beach recreation getaway. SADLY the property Halcyon Days was certainly not as expected for the cost of the weeks rental. The property once we actually got inside .. (cleaners were late and very poor) was filthy Dogs hair dust cobRead morewebs everywhere and absolutely no cleaning agents available. We went to the site shop bought bleach bin bags and cloths. Spent our first hour cleaning ! When we went to use the jacuzzi the patio slabs around it were loose very dangerous. The BBQ had been used and left with food in it Each balcony its furniture needed cleaning as did the patio furniture. We were contacted a few days before departure explaining the lakeside view and access was fenced off. No reason or explanation offered even after asking ? We still have no idea ? The grass area outside the patio area wasnt cut as nothing can get in due to the Harris fencing ! As a family away celebrating a significant birthday we were desperately disappointed with the state of what should be a great house for vacation. It is neglected and in need of serious renovation especially in the communal areas. Id recommend the site there are plenty of other houses lodges but avoid Halcyon Days until the faults are put right. Hide

We had a week here and we all young and old enjoyed the house immensely. Well catered kitchen with all you need . The hot tub was fantastic and the location away from the resort meant felt very secluded which was lovely. Having the gym and swimming pool onsite was a great bonus especially on rainy days. All in all would recommend and would come bRead moreack again and felt great value for money. Hide

We found the property very easily, it was a lovely big house with 3 floors. The dog walks were good, we went in October so a bit wet, that's no fault of the holiday company. Lots of things to do within 30 mins drive. And a rwscos and Aldi 10 mins away. We found it to be a lovely and comfortable home. The hot tub was fab.

Halcyon Days is an absolute dream. The house is absolutely beautiful and clean. The house is equipped with everything you need and all of a very high quality. The property was not very clean. In the cutlery draw was pretty dirty, there was rubbish beside the house and some sheets were quite stained/ marked. The shower in the upstairs twin room the temperature control was broken. The cooking equipment was minimal for an 8 person cottage and the oven was unpredictable and required a lot of monitoring to Read morenot burn food due to hot spots in the oven The fridge was so iced up affecting the space in the fridge but also meaning the risk of freezing the food if at the back of the fridge. I'd say also a small size of fridge for an 8 person cottage. 1 chair at the dining table was unsafe as it was falling apart. As the super king beds were zip link the option for them to be twins would have been handy. Although overall we had a lovely weekend the above points were noted by the group. There was a nice welcome pack of tea and coffee and cleaning pack. Hide
