James
Was perfect for us, everything we needed in the lodge and the hot tub was great
Wendy
A lovely lodge in a peaceful site although the traffic was quite noisy at times. Three of us and our little dog enjoyed our stay and would recommend . The not tub is fab.
Cheryl
Brilliant accommodation. Hot tub wonderful. Good location for walking on granite way Would definitely book again.
Coleen
The decking is enclosed but the garden is not, this was the only thing that let us down on this holiday as it was stated enclosed which we took as the garden, yes maybe we should of checked but to me enclosed means enclosed garden, if just the decking enclosed it should state that, other then that the lodge is beautiful and very comfortable
jane
Love staying here ! Has everything you need and close to the moor
Clare
Lovely lodge, garden isnt enclosed so if you have dogs then they have to be taken outside to toilet on a lead. Hot tub was lovely
Christine
Loved the lodge, nice and bright, modern, home from home, lovely view from our kitchen window. This is our second visit this year, hope to come back again soon.
Katie
Great lodge, spacious and clean. Hot tub all in working order and private. Lovely time away for first holiday with our 3 month old.
Claire
Wow, what can I say?! The accommodation surpassed our expectations. It was spacious and spotlessly clean. The beds were super comfortable. There was even a laundry room. We were in Fir Lodge which was lovely and private whilst you were in the large hot tub, it was close to the road with a little noise at rush hour. Its also quite a small site which we loved. All in all I would highly recommend the accommodation and location to visit some really cool sites Devon/Cornwall has to offer.
Natalie
Lovely accommodation, spacious and well equipt. Comfy beds, clean and the hot tub was lovely. It was noisy with the windows open as we were located right by the A30. Lots of noise whilst in the hot tub. There is no nice view either. An ideal base for travelling out from. The owners were lovely and very helpful.
Natalie
Comfortable, really good size. Great walks up the bridal path opposite. Pub is dog friendly which is nice. Garden isn't enclosed but the deck is, so have to lead dogs whenever they need the bath room. Isn't on a farm but next toa few. Site is very small but cute.
Kevin
The position of the lodge and the privacy of the hot tub is a major reason for choosing the lodge. Really good that the Betty Cottles Inn was open and much better than in September 2022. Meldon Lodge Park is a great place to stay!
Wendy
A lovely safe and clean place to stay with our dogs. Lovely surroundings and hot tub is great.
Matthew
A great place to stay. Very well appointed with everything you could need during your stay and more. Loads of space. Great location. Nice big hot tub. Clean and comfortable. Great base for walking with various routes straight from the front door. Plenty of shops just down the road. Nice and private. Great wifi.
Lisa
We loved the cabin and will be staying again we couldn't recommend the place enough!. It was super clean and the hot tub was amazing :).
Rebecca
Well equipped and comfortable lodge. Very quiet with it being out of season, and well located for days out. As another review said, the lodge is next to a road (I would imagine this is more of an issue in summer months when living outside more) and the on site pub was closed (we had been notified) which was a shame as there was no where else in wal king distance on a winter night. BUT, we had a lovely week, and the hot tub was such a welcome treat after some long walks.
Christine
Lovely modern clean and bright, lovely and comfortable, relaxing, enjoyed hot tub, even got mum in on her 92nd birthday on a beautiful sunny morning! Would definitely like to come back. Thank you for a lovely last minute break away.
Caz
I booked this property as l really needed a peaceful & relaxing break away. Upon arrival l found out there is a very busy main road right outside the property. The accommodation itself was lovely apart from the quilt is too narrow for the double bed so had to use the 2 single quilts.
John
Absolutely stunning lodge fabulous hot tub beautiful views close to the Cornish border for trips to bude beech
Keith
Clean and tidy and fully equipped. Ease of access to surrounding locations being central to a number of different places.

Debbie
I highly recommend this beautiful stunning lodge I found it extremely clean and comfortable with lovely soft furnishings with a cosy feel especially as it allows dogs. We were greeted everyday with hungry ducks below our veranda which made my day. The land these stunning lodges are on is very neat and tidy and extremely quiet and private. I will mo st definitely would like to book again one year as we had a superb holiday.
Wendy
We had an amazing stay at Fir Lodge. It was very clean, well equipped and plenty of space for 4 of us and our dog. The hot tub was a great added bonus after a day of walking. The central location is great for exploring North/South Devon. Only a 5 minute drive to Oakhampton where there are a couple of supermarkets/ dog friendly pubs/restaurants. The owners were amazing. Couldnt do enough for you and were there immediately to help with an issue we had. Would certainly return.
Ann
Beautiful lodge well equiped and clean. Very comfortable
Kerry
Lovely, quiet little park near to Dartmoor national park. Ideal for walking with the dog. The lodge is clean and well equipped with what you need and the hot tub is the added bonus. Just 10 mins from the park are some shops for getting your groceries and there are some amazing walks especially Simmons park. Highly recommend.
Paul
Everything you need for all your needs a home from home
Julie
Lovely accommodation, possibly the location not suitable for everyone as there are no shops in walking distance, however we would recommend the lodge we stayed in which had all the facilities to ensure a great stay.
Lisa
Everything you need, comfortable & so relaxing. Owners are really helpful.
Amanda
Perfect holiday and the person who welcomed us to show us where the lodge was was fantastic. Everything was provided essential wise and the lodge was warm and cosy. The hot tub was always clean and checked. Recycling was in a very convenient location (next to the lodge). Great location as long as you read the directions it's nice and easy to find. Peaceful and quiet get away. 100% will come back to visit the area in a more practical season (we went in December for the Christmas markets).
Dawn
Beautiful lodge on the edge of Dartmoor. Inside is like a home from home finished to a very high standard. The hot tub just finishes of a busy day. Will definitely go back.
John
A stunning lodge with beautiful views fantastic hot tub all high end fixtures and fittings cant wait to return next year
Carrie
We have returned from a fantastic week in Devon in Fir lodge. The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us and the dog and the hot tub was a fantastic addition! We loved every minute of it! Location is perfect and Okehampton is about a 5 minute drive which has a decent sized Waitrose, Coop and Lidl! The reservoir, quarry, viaduct and Devon Dogs are all within a 10 minute drive for great walking and dog training. :) Already planned to return!
Andrew
Amazing hidden gem in devon. Hosts are amazing. The lodges are absolutely stunning, everything you need for a relaxing holiday anytime of the year, especially as each lodge has large private Hot-Tub for all weather use. The open-plan kitchen /dinning/living room very nicely decorated and lovely soft furnishings. Master bedrooms suite is big comfort able and light. Other 2 bedrooms light and airy. Lots of outdoor decking around, lodge. Table and chairs on decking off the living room. Stunning vie
Mandy
We stayed in Fir Lodge which was well placed for the sun and privacy. It is against the main road so traffic can be heard but was not a problem to us. Lovely place to stay and explore the surrounding area. An hour from Torquay or travel to Cornwell and Bude is under an hour away. Very clean and serviceable cabin. Hot tub is lovely and a nice treat after a day out. Would reccommend a stay here
