Spend your days traversing the Blackdown Hills (5 miles) and the fabulous Jurassic Coast (20 miles) or stay close to home and just chill out in the vicinity of the property.

On arrival, notice the appealing decking space with outdoor seating and a hot tub in view of the majestic lake and the countryside around it. Step inside and make yourselves at home, enjoying the open plan living space on slow mornings and restful evenings.

The wood burner in the corner of the lounge area creates a cosy and warm ambience for winter s nights, whilst the Smart TV is on hand for all kinds of entertainment. Both bedrooms, a king size and a super king size zip and link, each have an additional Smart TV, allowing privacy and peace for guests hoping to disappear and enjoy some alone time.

Connected by the River Exe, the lively town of Tiverton (6 miles) and the ancient city of Exeter (15 miles) are both just a drive away. Each appealing in its own right, these two locales are worth touring with pubs, shops and restaurants sitting alongside attractions including Tiverton Castle and Exeter Cathedral.

Both are destinations on the Exe Valley Way, a 50 mile walking path that leads you through stunning woodland and delightful Devonshire scenery.

This impressive modern lodge is one of four located in eleven acres of countryside complete with two fishing lakes and off-road parking. Providing both excellent accessibility and privacy, the lodge is ideal for families and small groups looking for a tranquil retreat in mid-Devon. Catering to visitors of all ages, the property includes a private hot tub on the outdoor decking area, coarse fishing in the lakes as well as a dog-friendly welcome. It’s immediately apparent from the exterior that this property is incredibly stylish. Modern touches permeate throughout the property and can be seen in everything from the recessed overhead lighting to the chrome piping on the living room wood burner. All features have been carefully chosen for a consistent level of chic throughout the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. Adding to the luxury is a floor-to-ceiling sliding door. Opening up the view of the lake, it is the ideal spot to sit at the dining table for a touch of al fresco dining. Hedgehog Hospital at Prickly Ball Farm - EX20 3TA

If you are looking for a fun family day out with a difference then a visit to the Hedgehog Hospital is a great choice. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
