Lower Roselath Retreat Reviews

Sally
The cottage was lovely and felt very secluded with great enclosed fully secure garden for the dog . The interior was very comfortable and had everything we needed ,although we found the sofa a little low for us . Great location for us to to visit South Cornwall though I wouldn't always follow your SatNav!! Would happily stay here again
Eloise
Really nice property, well suited to dog owners and easy access to local Par beach and other attractions in East Cornwall.
Allison
Absolutely delightful stay at the Retreat, so peaceful with a great enclosed garden for our dog. Really comfortable, all you need and great location base to visit beaches and harbours. Have already recommended to friends.
Alison
Excellent property in a great location - great dog friendly pub a 5 min walk from cottage. We really enjoyed our stay.
Sally
Absolutely loved it here! Our hosts were wonderful, so friendly. The cottage was one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in and it was great to have a decent shower. The garden was so much bigger than we expected and completely dog safe (unless your dog is a jumper), our youngster loved hunting for Cornish meeces in the undergrowth. The Cro wn Inn was a 15 minute walk down an enclosed footpath. Great food and very dog friendly. We will definitely return!
Jackie
Beautiful little cottage with everything you need and very peaceful.Short walk (over a couple of styles) to a lovely pub with very friendly staff and excellent food. The garden is very well kept and very secure, which was perfect for our dog.
Yvonne
Lovely cosy cottage with a large enclosed garden. Owners were very welcoming and helpful. Cottage was spotlessly clean and the location was peaceful and quiet.
Katherine
We had a fabulous week at the Retreat. There is lots to do nearby but the weather was so wonderful we spent most of it exploring the coast walks and relaxing in the garden. Having an enclosed space and a bbq was great for both us and our dog. The cottage was spotlessly clean and wonderfully peaceful and quiet. The lovely Crown Inn is just a short w alk away and there are also a couple of farm shops in the village.
Kirsty
Had a lovely relaxing stay at the cottage. A perfect place to relax and unwind in the pretty garden, which was completely secure for our dogs. Sue and Tim were very pleasant but not intrusive. Great location to visit many places in Cornwall. Would highly recommend.
Stuart
Cottage is clean and tidy; great location for visiting Cornish attractions. Owners are very friendly.
Marjorie
Lovely cottage in beautiful location, have been before and will come again
Lisa
I would highly recommend this cottage to others. We had a lovely stay at the cottage, the owners were warm and welcoming and there lovely dogs, it's in a good location to go travelling around Cornwall, we hope to come back again one day , we are missing it there already! Thankyou
Mark
Lovely quiet location but central to explore the delights of Cornwall, the accommodation was warm clean and well equipped the owner was helpful and friendly we would certainly book again.
Paul
Well equipped, small but comfortable. Garden is dog proof, which is great. Owners helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Good pub with excellent food a short walk away.
Anthony
Nice quaint little property, super enclosed garden if you've a dog with you. Just a tad too far out the way from everything for us - if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you!
Philip
The cottage is ideal when you've got a dog as it is well enclosed. The owners are very lovely. The cottage itself is a bit "rustic" and certainly needs to be given a bit of an update. It is attached to the main house and surrounded with other buildings, so the feeling is all bit "enclosed". The parking is tricky, as you need to go down a very narro w drive, and is not straight. But the location is perfect to visit all places in the area, and as I said before, the owners are just really nice.
Alison
A fabulous cottage in a wonderful location.
Lindsay
I've said no to the below comment as to recommending it to a friend but even though our friends know about our holiday retreat we want to keep our Cornish piece of heaven to ourselves !!
Richard
Garden is lovely it's well cared for and we felt safe letting our dog's out in it
Sue
Cosy well loved cottage, enclosed garden for the dogs. Great location. I would suggest you take your own towels, they're supplied but this is my personal preference as I like to be able to wrap up in the towel and the towels put out aren't very big, they are the size you would have in a hotel. Great host and everyone is so friendly.
Paul
The cottage is small but easily enough room for two as advertised. Its well equipped and the garden is lovely (and dog proof). A great place to sit with a glass of wine and let the dogs roam. The owner is friendly and happy to chat but not intrusive. Its easy to get to a big sandy beach (10 mins) to Fowey (15 mins) and to the North Coats (40 mins). The setting is quiet with a pub in walking distance over the fields We would use this place again.
Michael
Lovely place to stay. Quite peaceful , comfortable , would go back again.
Dena
We had a lovely stay at Lower Roselath Retreat. Our Spaniel loved his morning and evening runs around in the field by the pond. The garden was large enough for him to explore as well. We walked to The Crown via the footpath also walked to Redmoor Tor. Hearing the owls each night was a bonus. Sue and Tim are great hosts, we hope to return one day.
Marcia
Very clean and comfortable
Derek
The property was quite isolated, but we enjoyed that. You will need a car to get around, but again for us it wasn't a problem. We were part of a larger party, so the interconnecting door between us and the larger farm house was really useful.
