This cottage was lovely. Welcoming, warm and very clean. We stayed during a storm and wet and windy weather so did not benefit from the spa or lovely garden but could imagine in spring/summer it would be perfect. Super dog friendly. Its the ideal place to escape from it all.

Central location, great base for exploring all the sea ports and nearby tourist spots. There are some great walks, all within a short distance from the cottage, fantastic to come back at night to soak in the hot tub. Living in the city, it was fantastic to have the peace and quiet, rural setting, the only noise, the occasional mooing of a cow, Bern ie, our Beagle, loved the garden area, we were happy for him to wonder in and out at will, it was was secure. We would be happy to return!!
Susan
This location is perfect for anyone wanting peace and tranquility. The owners provide all the necessary equipment that you might need. The Wi-Fi is good so you are able to pick up any TV apps for streaming. Loved the garden and patio area. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Hot tub was a bonus after a busy day exploring. The walk to The Cro wn Inn (bookable on line) isn't for the faint hearted, it's entirely possible but the roads are very narrow and hilly. Great holiday.
Carol

Loved everything about the cottage. Cosy, homely and perfect for a relaxing week. Being able to look out over the countryside while relaxing in the hot tub was amazing. Single track lanes takes a little getting used to. We would highly recommend the cottage.
Lindsay
Lovely cottage, great location for exploring Cornwall.
Edward
wonderful location and a good sized garden that our doggies bounced around in and ran off steam in. The cottage sits on the edge of a dairy farm (the owners will show you round with a tour - highly recommended) at the end of a narrow road. Parking for two cars and a very lovely cottage. Very well equipped kitchen with a nice comfy living room. Down stairs to the bedrooms and out into the garden to the hot tub where we spent every night staring at the stars. We will be booking another stay here x
Adam
Lovely little barn to stay in with a big back garden for the dogs .. very nice location feels like your in the middle of no where but then with in a 20min drive in most directions you have a lot to do
Carolyn
What a beautiful place to stay so quiet and peaceful. A little bit of heaven away from the rat race. Very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely cream tea on arrival yum. Will definitely stay again.
Richard
Really comfortable and quiet. Everything we needed in the property. Great location for exploring both north and south Cornwall. My husband is a retired farmer so was pleased to be able to go into the farmyard to see the cattle. Hot tub a bonus too.
Amanda
Perfect for our stay. A little cold on the ground floor . A mid week bin empty would have been good also.
Deborah
The location of this beautiful cottage gave us the most peaceful and relaxing holiday we've ever had. Beautifully furnished with everything you need, the dogs loved the garden space and the hot tub is the icing on the cake
Jade
Cottage is in a great location on a working farm, and on appointment you can have a look round which was brilliant. Cosy cottage with the added benefit of an enclosed garden, perfect for our dogs and a hot tub for the humans!
Matthew
Wonderful property, hosts we're very welcoming. Scones on arrival were a nice touch. Facilities and hot tub great, garden prefect for the dogs.
Marilyn
We new it was a working farm, but didn't expect to get silage to slosh over our parked car as they were muck spreading in the field. Love the space and airiness of upstairs, but found bedroom dark and a strong damp smell.
Sara
Delightful barn conversion, upside down living was great, though the dogs were confused at times! Well stocked with essentials in the kitchen, all spotless on our arrival and the welcoming scones, cream and jam were a bonus. The access road was always an adventure but knowing this gem of a cottage with its secure garden and hot tub were our destina tion made the journey more than worth it! Ideally located to visit so many Cornish delights we definitely need to come back to see more!
Hannah
A lovely unique cottage tucked away in the peaceful setting of rural Cornwall. Dont let the lane to the cottage put you off, its absolutely fine. We drive a Toyota Yaris and had no problems getting up and down. Although quiet, relaxing and a real escape from everyday noise, there is easy access to local attractions also. The hot tub is a perfect ed ition and even through storm Arwen we were bubbling away! Cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch, and we would return, a really lovely place.
Michael
This is our second stay at the Chestnut Tree this year, I would definitely recommend this property to stay. It was just the two of us and our dog, the property had everything we needed. The hot tub is great in the winter as its dark early, you can have a relax in the tub before getting on with dinner.
Alan
When we arrived at the cottage we were met by a lovely cream tea which after a 3 hour drive was most welcome. The cottage was very well appointed and cosy the bedrooms were large. There was an ensuite to to the master bed and a family bathroom just down the hall. There was a large enclosed garden for the fog to wander around and a lovely hot tub we re we spent many an evening just watching the stars.
John
We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at The Chestnut Tree, would highly recommend and would definitely return. Everything that you can think of had been provided, and more. The building was charming, really well thought out and the location so peaceful yet a great base to visit many spectacular villages and towns within Cornwall. The hot tub was a huge plus point and our little dog loved the garden. We didn't find the time to see the farm and feel we missed out however the owners are lovely.
