Potbelly Reviews

Alex
We really see the potential here - the hot tub and glass wind break are lovely touchesand the heating kept us cosy. The location is spot on too. It just needs a bit of TLC, like some minor repairs and a thorough clean. A few more power outlets, especially USB chargers near the bed and some in the small bedroom, would make a big difference. Storage space is a bit tight in both rooms, but with a little love and some upgrades, this cabin could easily be a five-star escape. We’d definitely come back!
Oliver
Nice hosts, comfy pub, sleep was peaceful on quiet nights
Lisa
The sofa wasn’t the comfiest, honestly. Would’ve loved two arm chairs instead. On the bright side, the hot tub was fantasticand the bedding, towelsand utensils were all top-notch. Overall, a decent stay but could be more comfy seating-wise.
James
We really enjoyed our stay here. The peaceful setting and stunning countryside views made it perfect for unwinding. The Pig on the Hill pub nearby is definitely worth a visit, just a short walk away. Lovely spot!
Martin
This place is pretty lovely, with handy amenities and a top-notch spot. It’s about a 20-minute stroll to the town and a similar walk to a cracking pub nearby. Would definitely come back in summer with friends, for sure!
Emma
The place was lovelyand the hot tub was fantastic! The sofa was a bit too firmand I couldn't figure out why there’s no blind in the bathroom.
James
Lovely spot, comfy beds, well-equipped kitchenand the hot tub was a real highlight. Great Wi-Fi too!
Graham
Smaller than expected, very uncomfortable sofa Looks more used than shown in photos.
Sarah
If you're looking for a quiet getaway spot, this is perfect for you! There’s a lovely pub in the nearest small town too, which makes it even better.
Michael
We found the comfort a bit lacking. At 6ft 1, the dining table and chairs didn't really suit us adults. The leather bench seating looked lovely, but it was way too hard for comfort. We could have done with more cushions for sure! A freezer would have really made our stay better, especially for a cold Gin and Tonic. Also, it would have been good to have a blind in the bathroom window. Other than that, we had a wonderful time at Pot Belly!
Mark
What a lovely secluded location, with stunning views of open fields and time spent in the hot tub was just bliss. The kitchen was well equippedand we had plenty of hot water for our showers. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay. Plus, getting around the SW peninsula by car was a breeze!
Jake
We had a lovely holiday at Potbelly. It was clean and comfortable. As for walking into Westward Ho!, it’s definitely walkable for an adult. However, the lodge is tucked away down a quiet country lane with not much space on either side of a car’s width and not many spots to dodge traffic if you're on foot. This makes it tough for children and prams, which is a bit of a shame since it’s only a mile to the beach. On the bright side, there’s loads of parking available in Westward Ho!
Laura
This cottage is quite bijou but perfect for a holiday close to the lovely beach. The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a long, hot day. The view from the decking is completely private and really very quiet and tranquil. We had a heatwave and the cottage stayed nice and cool. We will definitely return!
James
This is a lovely place to stop! It’s a great base for walksand then we can come back and relax on the sunbeds or in the hot tub. We would highly recommend it!
Emma
We had a lovely stay at the cottage! It was really relaxing, apart from the soft furnishings. They provided all the other extras like a tea towel and liquid, which was great. The place felt secluded and had a nice tub. Perfect for a quiet getaway. It was a bit of a shame the pub and restaurant on site were closed, as it means someone has to drive if you want to eat out, since it's not walking distance to any other place. Overall, we enjoyed a lovely short break.
James
A fabulous place to stay! It's really clean and cosy. You have everything you need and could want for a short stay. The location is great for walking and the beach. We loved it!
Clara
We stayed in a very nice and clean cabin with stunning views and a lovely hot tub! It was so quiet and perfectly located for exploring Devon. With a few improvements, it could be excellent, but we would definitely visit again!
Alex
What a fantastic spot! The views are stunningand it's super easy to get to everything nearby. It's just the perfect place for a few peaceful days away.
Sam
We loved the location, perfect for day trips! The cottage was in a lovely quiet spot, giving us some great privacy and stunning views of the countryside.
Sarah
We absolutely loved our stay in this really comfortable and well equipped cabin! The hot tub was fantastic! While the location is secluded, it’s still within walking distance to the beach, even though it’s quite a hike. The food at the gastropub on site was superb too.
