Woodside Reviews

Emma
We absolutely loved staying here! The house is super cosy and has stunning views from nearly every room, which made relaxing after days out even better. It’s so well equipped, honestly one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. Coming back to the hot tub was a real treat. The owner is nearby and really helpful if you need anything. Perfect place for a family birthday celebration - we couldn’t have asked for more!
James
The cottage's setting is absolutely lovelyand we found it super comfy. Everyone had a great sleep! The hot tub was a real treatand it’s well-equipped for a chilled holiday.
Emily Johnson
We had such a lovely stay! The house was stunning and perfectly situated with gorgeous sea views from almost every room at the front. It felt really luxurious and comfy, with everything we could possibly need. We were quite sad to leave, honestly. A big thank you to our host who was so kind, especially on our first day when I messed up the bedroom plans. Highly recommend this idyllic spot-super comfy beds, slept like babies!
James
The house is a good size for our family with kids and a big dogand the views are incredible. Only downside was the busy road, but the kitchen was well equipped. Nice touch with the welcome pack!
Emma
We had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless and really well equipped, with comfy beds and a lovely touch of fresh roses on the table. The location was perfect-just a 10-minute walk to the beach and close to shops like Asda and Morrisons. We also enjoyed a lovely afternoon exploring Appledore. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing break!
Emma
We stayed as a group of five adults, two kidsand our two dogs. The house’s layout was just right for us, making everything easy and comfortable. It was beautifully kept and spotless when we arrived, which we really appreciated. The hot tub had a little hiccup at first, but the owner sorted it out quickly - very impressive. We bought a weekly parking pass at a nearby country park, which was great for dog walks on the beach. The weather wasn’t perfect, but it didn’t ruin our stay at all!
Emma
We recently stayed with a group of 5 adults and our 2 dogs. The house looked lovely and had everything we needed. The little touches like the complimentary welcome items made us feel really welcomed. The private garden and hot tub were perfect for relaxing after a day out. Having the side gate for the dogs was a lifesaver-no hassle bringing them through the house. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Westward Ho and half an hour to the dog beach. Definitely recommend the Atlantic Fish Bar, but be prepared for a wait-it’s very popular!
Laura
Overall, the property was well presented, though we were a bit let down by the dirty patio that had weeds everywhere and the rusty, tatty BBQ that we didn't end up using. The only other thing was that the ensuite shower could really do with a good scrub, especially the mould in the grout between the tiles, which I sorted out myself (video evidence available!). Still, this didn't take away from our overall enjoyment of the holiday, but sorting these things out would definitely help future reviews.
Emily
Such a lovely big family house in a fantastic quiet spot! It suited our needs perfectlyand we really loved that we could bring our dogs along. They were safe and secure in the enclosed garden, which was a big plus for us. There’s a wide choice of takeaways and restaurants close by too. Plus, so many places to visit nearby.
Emily
Woodside is a fantastic house with a stunning view of the sea. The big window upstairs is perfect for catching those gorgeous sunsets and watching the waves. It's such a great spot for a quick stroll to Westward Ho beach. We had a blast in the games room, loved the hot tuband made the most of the balcony in between the showers. We had a lovely week away, sleeping seven of us quite comfortably. The owner was really quick to reply to any questions we had. What a great week! Thank you!
Sarah
We had a lovely stay at Woodside with 5 adults, 2 kidsand 2 dogs. The home is very spacious and comfortable, plus the beach is just a 15-minute walk away. Communication with the owner was excellent. We all really loved the jacuzzi and made great use of it. The views of the sea from the huge window in the sitting room are simply stunning!
Laura
The place is in a stunning spot with breathtaking views. It worked really well for us, especially with my elderly mum since her room was on the same level as the living space and garden. The hot tub was lovelyand the welcome pack was a nice touch, really appreciated it! The only issue was the cleanliness, which could have been better.
Lucy
What a stunning house in such a perfect location! The views from both the lounge and balcony are really amazing. It was well equipped and there was plenty of space for us. We had a great time during our stay and can’t wait to come back!
Claire
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Woodside! It's a beautiful property with fantastic views and everything is just a short walk away! We would definitely stay here again!
Liz
What a brilliant base for exploring the areaand we could easily park four cars! Just a heads up, though, it’s not ideal for anyone with mobility issues because of how the property is laid out. The view from the sitting room and upstairs balcony was stunning for watching the sunset and seeing the tides change. There is so much to do around here that a week just didn’t feel long enough. There are good restaurants about a 15-minute walk down the hilland we found local attraction details at the house. We’d definitely stay there again!
James
The property is really well laid out and we were welcomed with a lovely pack plus comfy beds. The downstairs shower was a bit tricky to set with hot and cold, not ideal for a child. The hot tub was brilliant! Just a few cobwebs here and there, but otherwise clean.
Emily
Absolutely stunning property, great location and ideal for our family getaway!
Emma
We had a lovely time! The property was really clean and comfy. The views were amazingand it was super close to all the amenities. We had a fabulous time xx
Hannah
We enjoyed a lovely last minute short break and honestly wished we could have stayed longer! The house is beautifully decorated and being an upside down house, the lounge boasts fantastic views of the sea. The kitchen had everything we could need, plus the dining room leads out onto a private patio and garden with a hot tub, which was great to unwind in at the end of our day. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with super comfy beds and there’s plenty of private parking for at least four cars.
Lucy
We had a wonderful family holiday at Woodside. The rooms were lovely and the beds and furniture were super comfy. We all took turns cookingand the kitchen was really well stocked. The hot tub was such a nice bonus! We would all definitely stay again.
