The Love Shack Somerset Reviews

Emma Roberts
We stayed at The Love Shack for five days around the 20th of October to celebrate a birthday, bringing along our five little dogs. From the moment we arrived, we felt really welcomed-there was a lovely basket waiting with bread, eggs, milk, butterand even dog treats. The quality was top-notchand the decor is genuinely stunning, including cosy dressing gowns. Mr Perry was super helpful via text whenever we had questions. We’re already planning to return near Christmas and hopefully summer 2025. Can’t fault it!
Claire
We had a lovely stay at this cosy, warm cottage-it really felt like a home away from home. The Talbot Inn is perfect for a meal, especially since they're very dog-friendly. White Row Farm Shop offers fantastic local produceand Holcombe Farmshop is great for breakfast or lunch, even opening in the evenings some nights. Bream Beach is a lovely spot for dog walksand honestly, it’s worth the hour’s drive for a proper day out!
Emma
We stayed at this charming stone cottage and really enjoyed our time there. The place was spotless and felt super cosy, with beautiful views over the fields - we loved the cows dropping by each morning! Plenty of lovely walks nearby for the dogs too. Jon and his parents were so friendly and accommodatingand the welcome pack was a sweet touch. Thanks a lot!

We really enjoyed our stay! Bringing our four dogs along was easy since the enclosed garden was just perfect for them. The house felt warm, cosyand welcoming - it’s clear someone put thought into making it comfy. Jon was quick to answer any questionsand his parents made us feel right at home. Watching the cows in the neighbouring field was a lovely touch. Thanks for a great base to explore Somerset!
Alex
The cottage has such a charming, rustic vibe with some lovely touches that really make it special. We loved the cosy feel, but a few small things could make a big difference. There’s nowhere to hang towels or robes after the hot tub-adding some hooks would be great. Slippers would’ve been handy too, so we didn’t have to dry our feet on the floor. I’m 54 and struggled to reach the basin and mirrors in the bathroom-they’re a bit high. Also, the info book needs updating; the Wi-Fi details are completely wrong. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!
Emma
We loved this place! The house was super comfy and had everything we needed. Great local walks and a handy shop nearby. The hot tub was perfect after a busy dayand the garden was ideal for the dogs. Quiet spot for a proper chill out!

Honestly, this place is perfect if you're after some peace and quiet. The garden is really lovely and the hot tub is such a treat after a long day. The log burner in the lounge adds a cosy touch that's hard to beat. Plus, it’s super safe for dogs, which is a big plus for us. It’s quite quirky, which makes it stand outand we definitely plan to come back. A great escape from the busy world out there, for sure!
Claire
We loved the peaceful setting, so perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Our four dogs felt completely safe, with no escape routes at all, which was a relief. The views were stunningand the cows in the field added to the charm! It’s a great spot for dog walks, with a local pub nearby and a handy Co Op just around the corner. We made good use of the hot tub and cooked a few dinners on the wood pit, enjoying the wood burner on chilly nights. Jon was always available by phone and really helpful. The cottage was just lovely!
