Honeycomb Cottage Reviews

Julia
A very comfortable and cosy little cottage in an excellent location
Julia
Excellent location , near to lovely restaurants and shops . Easy access to promenade walk . Parking good but important to check advice on size of car.
Susan
Fabulous cottages, brilliant location, great that we could park the car and forget it, easy to walk everywhere & bus service was easy to use. Will definitely be returning
Philippa
We really enjoyed our stay, the location is brilliant and the bedrooms and lounge are really comfy. We do recommend a bit of TLC in the kitchen, the door knobs are loose, the fridge & freezer doors are wonky so annoying opening and closing, the fridge falls about all over the place and the top freezer drawer is sealed shut. Overall though we had a Read moregreat holiday and would stay again. Hide

Location is ideal for exploring mumbles and the Gower. It is our 3rd trip to this property. I have no doubt there will be a fourth.

Very convenient for shops and restaurants only a 2 minute walk, hot tub a nice addition.

Pleasant and spacious cottage in a good location, close to amenities. Parking very useful in Mumbles and meant that we could leave the car at home for much of our stay.

An excellent base to explore the local area, ideally situated for ease to the town, sea front and coastal walks. The cottage was clean, and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was is an ideal location- lots of restaurants, coffee shops, beaches and amenities within walking distance. Property was spotless and had everything we wanted. The hot tub was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again!

This is the third consequent year we have stayed at the cottage as we love it so much. It has recently been renovated and it looked lovely. We will be booking again next year as it is like home from home.
Bob
This was a very clean and well decorated accomodation. Only a short walk from the town and sea front. There are some good walks locally and there is a very good regular bus service to other towns including Swansea. We would definitely recommend this property and will certainly be returning in the future.

We had a great week and this cottage has a perfect location just 2-3 mins to the sea front and all the shops, bars and restaurants but very private and quiet at the house! Lovely jacuzzi was perfect for a relax after many days out with our dog!! The location of Mumbles is heaven for a dog and so many great beaches and walks to do or just potter arRead moreound the town. We had a great week and would hugely recommend it. Many beaches are dog friendly also and even at the end of June were quite so even better for the dog. Hide

Overall the cottage was situated in an ideal spot, the Mumbles and surrounding area is beautiful. The cottage requires attention, smelt damp throughout outdoor facilities unusable, hot tub which we paid extra for smelt and looked unclean brown tide marks. Luckily the good weather meant we didn't spend long in the accommodation.
Tracy
Beautitful cottage just a stones throw from the town. Beds very comfy, the only grumble i would have is that the curtains were too light so at 5 am it was so bright in the bedroom. Could do with a rubber bath mat in the bath as it was slippery and quite dangerous.

We arrived at the property to find the cottage had not been cleaned properly and no bedding towels etc. The shower curtain was disgusting, cutlery dirty, no rubbish bags left, we were unable to put rubbish out on bin day. Light in downstairs toilet doesn't work. Downstairs toilet and upstairs bathroom smell damp and of drains. We will not be retuRead morerning to Honeycomb cottage Hide

We left several emails that were unanswered during our holiday regarding having to clean the cottage ourselves on arrival, several maintenance issues that were not dealt with during our stay very disappointed in the fact weve had know correspondence at all, definitely not the usual standard of cottages booked with you.
Michael
This was a last minute booking and the service was great considering. Thank you and our family had fun!

The cottage was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed for the weekend and the location was amazing. My only slight criticism was the cleanliness in the Kitchen and the hot tub. We had to wash all the plates and cutlery when we arrived as they were filthy - food still on them all. Not a biggie. Also the cheese grater still had cheese all inRead more it from previous vacationers - I left it in the sink to be washed as we'd not used it. There were also leaves and dog hairs on the kitchen floor, and muddy splashes on the kitchen unit behind the living room door. Nothing major but looks like the kitchen could do with a deep clean. The water in the hot tub had a funny smell to it also - like it was dirty so I'm not sure when that was last emptied and re-filled. We only used it once for that reason. But it's a great little cottage and we'd definitely re-book it. Hide
