About Ash Cottage

Ash Cottage are pleased to announce that the woods are now open to guests and their canine companions! We are pleased to be able to offer access to this lovely woodland.

You will find both native and other species of trees, together with various seasonal fungi and lichens. We often have young buzzards in the woods.

If you are lucky, you may see them either feeding from the woodland floor or flying between the trees. There are also rabbits and other woodland creatures.

The woodland is enclosed all around with stock-proof wire fencing. It should be safe for your pooch to be let off the lead unless you know they are likely to jump out!

From time to time there may well be stock in the surrounding fields. For your safety, please be aware that there are multiple â€˜hazardsâ€™ to be found in this woodland.

Tree stumps, hidden dips and rabbit holes, low branches, fallen debris etc. Guests are welcome to enjoy walking in these woods, but at their own risk!

We ask that guests please respect the woodland area and bag all dog waste and place in the bin provided by the gates. Ash Cottage - A cut mid-terrace cottage with a private enclosed seating area and hot tub, perfect to sit with an early morning cup of coffee or relax and look at the stars.

With two bedrooms, the cottage is ideal for a small family or group with a compact family shower room. Completing the accommodation is an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and seating area.

A delightful getaway for small groups looking for a peaceful base from which to explore the fantastic diverse countryside. Note: This cottage can be booked with Refs.

Ash cottage was just perfect. We had two amazing weeks there and will definitely be returning to continue to explore this beautiful part of Wales. Les and Lesley were always on hand to check everything was OK. Our stay was home from home in the sense that the cottage was perfectly equipped and very welcoming and comfortable. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch too. We had a couple of wet weather days so the washing machine, tumble dryer and drying room were an additional bonus. Thank you to Les and Lesley. We agreed that our two weeks at Ash cottage was a favourite holiday and we felt relaxed and refreshed. The cottage was just perfect for us and all facilities were excellent.

Very high standard of accomodation in a very quiet rural area, coupled with a private hot tub made for a very relaxing and much needed winddown. Well situated for Cardigan BayNewQuay area with nice local villages and pubs to visit. Les and Leslie were great hosts too.

We had a fabulous stay. The cottage was amazing with everything we needed including a substantial welcome pack, Thankyou. The owners were very friendly. Our favourite part of Wales !

Ash cottage was absolutely amazing. It was like home from home, very clean, very cosy. It had theWOW factor as soon as you walked through the door. The location was also amazing, could not fault it at all and will definitely be going back at some point next year. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The location is perfect for a relaxing holiday and all beaches accessible within a short travel time. Newcastle Emlyn is a 10 min drive. Would totally recommend and will definitely return.

We had a lovely relaxing time again. 3rd visit So quiet. Everything is beautiful, so clean and well cared for. Has everything you need and with les and lesley being on hand if theres anything you cant find. Dont be put off by being inland has good access to the coast. Lovely area to stay as well

What a lovely cottage this was. by far the best we have been too so far and will no doubt go again. owners were great always there to help and have a chat! cottage was clean and well equipped there was everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. hot tub was superb for relaxing in.

The property was ideal for a holiday. It was clean and comfortable with all of the facilities you could need. We really enjoyed our stay and our dogs did too

We were warmly met by the owners who had left a lovely welcome hamper for us. The cottage was meticulously clean and every comfort was provided including lovely fluffy gowns! There were plenty of books and games to keep us occupied when it rained. It would be nice to have some sort of shelter and fairy lights by the hot tub so we could use it in really bad weather.

Great place so clean you could eat of floors, everything you need right down to dressing gown, great places to explore lovey couple could not do enough for us. Had washing machine,dryer,and dish washer what more could you want will be back ther next year hopefully.

The weather was not the best during our stay but was always a pleasure to go back to the comfort of the cottage. The welcome basket was an added extra, but most of all how clean the property was, comfortable beds and wonderful settee! The hosts were very accommodating and nothing too much trouble. Fab walks directly from the cottage all fantastically detailed within the brochure! Will definitely be back, lovely!

We had a fabulous holiday! West Wales is so scenic and provoked emotions. The Autumnal colours did not disappoint! Great cottage and awesome hot tub.

Beautiful cottage so well equipped with every possible need. Even a steamer which we prefer to use. Good quality bedding and towels. The welcome pack was so useful seeing you over till you can do a shop. Cottage so warm and comfortable. Every thing was just that bit more luxurious. Would go again.

The cottage was lovely and very well kept and we loved the hot tub. Little things like washing machine and tumble drier were fantastic, and so was the dishwasher with enough dishwash tablets for the week!

Everything we could have wished for and more, A peaceful and quiet location, only 2030 minute drive from the coast, Cardigan, New quay, Aberearon etc, some fantastic little beaches too. Lots to do everyday and cottage was so wonderful we looked forward to going back there after a busy day, hot tub was fabulous. Everything is so clean and every detail and item thought of.

We had a lovely week staying at Ash Cottage, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The hot tub was fantastic and just what we wanted at the end of a day walking, exploring the beaches. A garden to play with the kids was all that was missing, but the WiFi was good so that kept them happy! We found loads to do, and were blessed with excellent weather. Nearby Newcastle Emlyn is a great little town, plenty of eateries, a good antiques place and a small supermarket.

The cottage was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you would need. The owners were helpful but never intrusive and provided some really useful ideas about places to visit and things to do. We had a lovely time.

We really enjoyed our break in the cottage even though weather wasnt good we still got around to places and it was nice to go back to alovely cottage and relax fab hosts also .

We were met on our arrival at Ash cottage and were made to feel welcome right away. Throughout the week long stay, because the close proximity of the cottage owner's home we were usually in daily contact with them and passed the time of day discussing various topics. The cottage was clean,tidy and very warm,the addition of the welcome pack was an extra touch to make you feel more welcome, the hot tub was also nice to relax in on return from our days out and about. The whole experience because of this made the holiday more like we were staying with friends instead of owners and guests. A perfect relaxing holiday.

The location and quietness surrounded by beautiful countryside, not too far from the beaches and the National Trust cliff walks Wales is a very much underrated holiday destination, but I think the public are coming to the conclusion that with its wonderful beaches, rocky coves, fantastic cliff walks, well maintained roads and cheaper rates for admission chargestickets etc. that Wales is the all round hot spot for couples and families alike.

The cottage was so much more than the photos on the website showed, it was so well equipped and if there was anything else that we needed the owners were there to help.

A lovely cottage with really friendly owners who have great local knowledge and made th stay so wonderful.

Our cottage was beautifully presented, We were welcomed by the hosts on arrival, Les and Lesley are lovely people who made sure we had everything we needed before leaving us to enjoy our break. There was a welcome pack waiting for us. This contained everything we needed to get us started and was a lovely thought. We booked Ash Cottage because we wanted a hot tub and this did not disappoint. The tub was great, clean and well looked after. I would highly recommend Sykes based on the experience we just had.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!

National Botanic Garden of Wales - SA32 8HN

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs. They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn. With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience. You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.

Dinefwr Park and Castle - SA19 6RT

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.

Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire is an award winning Farm attraction, offering fun for the whole family come rain or shine.
