Fabulous house; old world charm, quirky, comfortable and well equipped. Living areas and bedrooms all sizeable, very well furnished and the roaring fires added to a special atmosphere. Wonderful location being a short drive from some of the best beaches in the country, local village pubs and the Sandringham estate.

The hall was beautiful, very comfortable and well equipped for a large group. It was warm with open fires and central heating. The grounds were lovely to walk around and explore. We had a truly fantastic time but it is worth noting that there are lots of steps and stairs throughout the property which may be difficult if you have mobility issues.

Perfect for our family in every way possible ! Amazing accommodation, historic and classy and the original shabby chic (in the best way possible) lots of lovely, thoughtful extra touches

The house was sumptuous. So much space despite the size of our party. The rooms downstairs had space to be together in comfort and space to get away from the crowd if needed. The kitchens were so well equiped. But the bedrooms were fabulous - even the smallest had its quirks and delights - everyone felt they had the best room! The beds were so comfRead moreortable several in our party wanted to take them home. Oh, and the grounds and nearby beaches are just wonderful as well. Hide

Melinda
A wonderful spacious house with amazing communal spaces. Beds very comfortable and plenty of crockery and glasses. The grounds are wonderful and location allows easy access to the coast and beautiful countryside.
Amanda
The property blends period grandness with modern living. The house is full of history, but has a homely, lived-in feel. There are fascinating antiques everywhere, yet the appliances are modern and slick. Our kids loved exploring the house and garden (which has two brilliant rope swings), and there was plenty to keep them amused in the games room. WRead moree would absolutely recommend a stay at Ingoldisthorpe Hall; its perfect for groups of friends and families, with or without children. Hide

Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 16 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 20 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 22 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 27 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 27 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 28 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
