This is an amazing property! Spacious, extremely clean and well equipped in a lovely garden. We enjoyed a fire in the woodburning stove every evening which makes the room very cosy. Bedrooms are large and beds very comfy, an excellent night's sleep. The hot tub is an added bonus, very luxurious and the robes and towels supplied are so useful. We stayed at Melbury recently and it was fantastic, specifically chosen due to being disability friendly for our friend with a recent MND diagnosis. So clean and comfortable and the host was more than helpful with advice and tips for our stay. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

An amazing 5* property and location. In some holiday homes there are just enough: cups, plates, glasses etc. not here, everything and more is provided in abundance. The furniture and facilities are to a very high standard. The garden is amazing, plenty of room for the children to play - the footy nets were a very welcome bonus. Fantastic cottage for a family get together. Very nicely (and eclectically) decorated with good sized bedrooms and lots of space downstairs. The hot tub area, outside space and games room are super and kept the kids quiet! No doubt there's more going on in the warmer months. Overall I would recommend staying here! Hide

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 9 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 10 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 19 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 20 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
