We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher Lodge. The place is super comfy, spotlessly cleanand well stocked with everything we needed. Sitting by the lake in the afternoon sun was perfect, especially with the hot tub. It’s a nice walk to Woodhall Spa, which has loads to offer, from Dam Busters history to the woodland cinema. Julie and Mark are fantastic hosts - we’d definitely come back!

We had an excellent stay! The lodge was spotless and had everything we needed, including plenty of storage and two bathrooms which was a bonus. The decor was tasteful and the beds super comfy. The hot tub was the cherry on top. Plus, the location was perfect-walking distance to Woodall Spa! Julie, the owner, was really friendly and made sure we enjoyed our time. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, our host greeted us warmly and took the time to show us around the lodge. He explained how to use the heating, hot tuband kitchen gadgets, which was really helpful. Plus, there was a lovely welcome pack with quality food that made us feel so welcome. The towels in the bathroom were super softand the beds were incredibly comfy-everyone slept like logs. Everything about the lodge was pure luxury. Can’t wait to come back!

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 18 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 23 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 27 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 27 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
