Millcott Reviews

Kathryn
Millcott was everything we expected it to be. Comfortable, cosy and exceptionally clean. We loved Mr Ned, looking at us through his stable door. We would only say that due to it being November the conservatory was too cold for us to eat at the dining table, so maybe a heater of some sort could be positioned in there. Apart from that, it was perfect and for anyone staying there you won't be disappointed.
Hilary
A lovely cottage very clean & warm , Allison the owner was lovely the cottage was plenty big enough for 4 people, all ground floor which made it good for my husband, good location, nice dog walks & the welcome pack was appreciated, will definitely return Hilary .
Barbara

Nice spacious rooms and comfortable sofas and beds. Loved the hot tub. Great location for visiting Lincoln, Woodhall Spa, Horncastle with its many antique shops. Will definitely book to go again.
Roland
A beautiful property, in a nice location. A nice touch was the welcome pack of butter, milk, bread and cakes. The owner was very pleasant, but not intrusive. Would happily return.
From the moment we arrived we wished we had booked for longer, there is ample parking, the cottage was clean, tidy and had everything we needed, great location, welcome pack on arrival lovely extra, Alison was the perfect host, the cottage has two bedrooms both with ensuite so would be an ideal stay for two couples. , would definitley stop again.

Beautiful well maintained property, it had everything we needed, friendly owner, we had a great week.
Really comfortable stay. Lovely comfy beds & great facilities. Surprised not to find a cafetier... only thing I missed. Lovely bonus for me was being near to horses!. Hosts very friendly. Nice walk around the fields & footpaths & great for travelling to both the coast and Lincoln.
Third time at the property excellent in every aspect again

We had a lovely time at Millcott. Cottage was lovely and well presented. Owner was very pleasant and sorted out a few issues we had promptly. Only drawback was the proximity of the road, which was only a few feet from my bedroom windows. So took a while to get to sleep. Beds were very comfortable so once asleep slept well.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay, will definitely be returning! The owner Alison was lovely.

Loved our stay here. Quiet and peaceful setting. Owner friendly. responsive and attentive. Facilities great, everything needed to self cater, dish washer and washing machine appreciated. Hot tub a delight to sit under the stars at night. Great pubs near with good food and drink. I would definately recommend.
Perfect time here, love the cottage and garden, a proper hideaway. Has everything you could need, every detail taken care of for a wonderful time. Will definitely be back
We enjoyed 3 nights at Millcott. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and very comfortable. The garden is private and peaceful. No doubt the hot tub would be great but we did not use it. Thank you for the thoughtful welcome pack. That was a nice surprise. Millcott was ideally situated for us to visit family in the area, and easy to find. Our only slight concern was that the road noise disturbed my husband, who is a very light sleeper. I didn't notice it! I highly recommend this cottage.
Lovely spacious property and helpful owner. The cottage is very well laid out and comfortable. Excellent facilities. We felt at home immediately, as did our dogs, who loved the garden too. It is very well placed to explore Lincoln and the surrounding area. We would definitely visit again.
Wonderful stay at a wonderful property in a tranquil setting. Alison was very welcoming and helpful if needed, but also left us in peace to enjoy our stay. Lovely welcome pack, and all the facilities we needed, everything to a high standard. It was great to be able to walk straight into the hot tub from the conservatory, and we made sure we made the most of it! Highly recommended. Thanks Glenn & Steph
Lovely cottage, hot tub is great addition to the property. Alison was on hand if you needed anything, she also provided a nice welcome pack, if we came again to this area we would definitely book this cottage.
We have just spent a lovely week in this very comfortable property. A great location with numerous walks on the door step. The property was very clean and contained everything needed for a home away from home. The owner Alison, introduced herself to ensure we had everything we needed. We have no hesitation recommending this property.

Have just returned from a lovely stay at this property. spotlessly clean and very well equipped. the host alison was on hand if needed , lovely welcome pack, fenced in garden for our dog. Hot tub was a very welcome additional extra .Would not hesitate to use this property again when visiting the area,
We were greeted with a good quality welcome pack of goodies on arrival. The cottage is lovely and spacious and ideal for 2 couples with the large ensuite bathrooms. The lounge is a great size with the rise and fall chair an excellent extra if someone has problems getting up and down out of a chair. The dining room in the conservatory has a lovely big table and chairs. The kitchen is well equipped with the dishwasher and washing machine and cooking facilities. It's a lovely area to stay, the local pub served excellent food and helpful staff and were extremely dog friendly. Alison the owner of the cottage was available and very helpful if we needed anything.

Loved our stay will definitely be back
Had a lovely stay in this delightful cottage. All basic requirements were available and the hot tub was the added bonus! Set in the countryside and central to visiting many attractions and gorgeous walks. Bus timetable to Lincoln was good with the bus stop only 10 mins walk from cottage. Good food available in local pubs and can highly recommend Maharaaj in Metheringham, which we had delivered. Alison is lovely and only too helpful in making your stay enjoyable. Definitely will stay here again.
Chelle
The property owner was available helpful and very friendly. The establishment was of a good standard and it is clear Alison takes pride in what she does, beautiful dogs too! Thank you so much xx
Denise
Lovely comfortable cottage. Very generous welcome pack with even a toy for our furry friend. Well equipped particularly enjoyed the hot tub. Very friendly owner. Highly recommend
Lovely property, we enjoyed our week. Really felt like home from home
Property was very nice and comfortable. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack. However the real big issue was the lack of hot water in bathrooms.only Luke warm water and not possible to shower, which was inconvenient. This must be addressed for further holiday makers.Other wise we had a nice stay.
Kirsty
Millcott exceeded our expectations in every way, the write up does not do it justice. Lovely location with secure access and great allocated parking. A very rare find, this property is completely accessible, all on one level, super comfortable beds, spacious ensuites to both bedrooms, and all bedding really good quality. Every room equipped to a really good standard, garden completely secure for the dog too. Alison, completely on hand if anything needed and a delight to deal with. Incredible value for money, we will definitely return.
Melvyn
Loved Millcott but as oldies found the information provided to be confusing. Never used a keycase before and had to ask for assistance, so we got off to a bad start. The Wifi would not connect for any of our party, the hot tub registererd 43 degrees and was unusable. The shower worked on the first full day, but could only get cold water after that, was it another instruction we did not follow?. The owner was around but always very busy and not particularly friendly. We all felt a bit intimidated by her and did not report any problems, so the problem became ours. I am not attaching blame to Alison. It was our first holiday in over 10 years so disappointed in myself for not being brave enough to contact her. We had a lovely break in a beautiful area, and apart from these niggles, we were happy.
Alison was very helpful and friendly. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this lovely property.
Wonderful place for a relaxed holiday. Superb bungalow that is fully equipped and in excellent order. Alison the is the perfect owner, available if required but never intrusive . Lovely garden which overlooks the stables and paddocks , provides a relaxing base which is perfect for exploring the delights of this beautiful county. We would highly recommend spending some of your mornings at the nearby RAF bases at Waddington and Coningsby. Where you can watch close up the Red Arrows and Typhoon jets do their thing. The Royal Oak in the village provides excellent food and a relaxing place for an evening pint. We already are planning our return 5 stars from us
Michelle
We had a fantastic stay, Alison the owner was extremely helpful, she kindly supplied us with a Sun lounger as they weather was so glorious and helped us find an emergency dentist when one of our group had toothache. The accommodation was perfect, comfy sofas, equally comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Would highly recommend this property.
Hugely disappointing on many levels. Cannot understand how this property has a 4 tick rating. The 50 refund we received seemed inadequate for the many issues we had to raise.
Enjoyed our week in this lovely spacious cottage with a very friendly cat that visits regularly! Close to lots of walks and local villages worth exploring. Nice day out in Lincoln, caught the bus from the village. Scopwick is a very pretty village with a nice pub at the side of the beck. It has a wonderful Greek menu. Also excellent fish and chips at Barrier Reef in Metheringham. An area worth visiting. Many thanks
Elaine
We had a lovely stay in Milcott for 5 days comfortable and spacious for 2 couples. Warm, clean and well equipped everything needed for a holiday. Sitting in a hot tub at the end of a day out was an added treat. Alison was friendly and on hand for any queries. Thank you for the groceries too!

Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
