The Dairy Reviews

Perfect accommodation. Clean and tidy and owner extremely helpful. Great for our dogs with a small fenced garden aswell as use of a larger paddock for a run around for them. Dog washing facilities including shampoo and hot and cold water over a large sink. Hot tub probably the best one I have stayed in and we use sykes 2 or 2 times a year. Also a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Thank you Karen.
Great really dogfriendly property & owners. Dogs actually welcome rather than just tolerated. Fantastic paddock for them to run around! Well equipped kitchen and comfy lounge downstairs, perfect for a couple with dogs. Doors out to the enclosed garden space. Massive bed upstairs, ensuite has lovely bath. Hot tub in an outbuilding is a great feature. We would definitely recommend a visit if you want somewhere to relax with fourlegged friends.
We had a lovely few days at The Dairy. Lovely cottage, beautiful setting. Dog loved the paddock and we enjoyed the hot tub! Owner very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions in the local area. Would very happily return!

Lovely cottage in a lovely peaceful area. Very dog friendly, even has a small paddock for walking your dogs. Karen & Stuart are very welcoming.
Had a lovely quiet stay at the cottage, thank you Karen for the warm welcome. The facilities were great and nothing was too much trouble. Chip especially loved the meadow with the walkways you created.
The Dairy is a well presented, well equipped, cosy cottage in a lovely quiet area. Ideal for dogs as not only is there a small secure area with the cottage there is also access to a larger secure paddock for exerciseplay. Relax in the Hot Tub and listen to the owners duck playing in their pond!! There's a nice walks from the doorstep to local pubs, and you're well situated for visiting to other areas of Norfolk. e.g Sandringham, Wells By The Sea, Thetford Forest.

Truly excellent. The Dairy was a stunning property with everything needed for a relaxing break. The surrounding area is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Having your own private garden is also a huge bonus, especially if you have dogs like we do. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. They were attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. Overall, a truly fantastic break and we will definitely be returning.
A lovely little cottage, very dog friendly.
Rebecca
We had a great stay good facilities, friendly owners and fantastic for holidaying with a dog. The hot tub is shared, but the system works really well and we got to use it when we wanted to. The dog washing facility and fields are also a huge bonus. The only slight drawback was the lack of storage shelves in the bedroom to unpack clothing.
Claire
A lovely cottage in a beautiful location , lovely paddock field for dogs and a great hot tub for relaxing , and friendly owners. We enjoyed our winter break here .
Lovely place to stay. Very dog freindly.
Wonderful unexpected stay for us, glad we booked , our week stay was to be with relatives in kings lynn, we found the dairy late , and felt fortunate to share this property of Karen and Stuart, absolutely huge and wonderful bed, overall me my wife penny and labrador millie thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would hope to do so again in the future.
Very pleasant stay the accomodation was very clean host where very helpful outside area very well kept plenty of room for dogs to run around, only downside was you needed a car to get to local villages. And WiFi was abit hit and miss depending where you where in the cottage. otherwise a very relaxing week..
Fabulous weeks stay at Dairy cottage a cosy, clean well equipped cottage with a hot tub and a big comfy bed in a quiet area of Norfolk with the most friendly wecolming hosts next door offering information of the surrounding area. Karen and Stuart are fabulous, kind, helpful hosts and all of their rentals are the perfect places to spend time away with your dogs. Karen has a wonderful way with dogs and mine felt at home instantly with the paddock as a super safe place for mine to roam around off their leads. The Dairy was a stunning place to stay with every comfort available. The bed was extremely comfortable with splendid crisp bedding, towels and robes along with a super shower or bath. Loved the hot tub too. Being located in a quiet rural village the quietness was so welcoming and every night gave a wonderful nights sleep.

The accommodation was fabulous, our hosts were great. .. and just perfect for your 4 legged friends.
Gorgeous cottage, very homely in wonderful surroundings. The owners Karen and Stuart make you feel very welcome.
Really and truly dog friendly. We were lucky that there was only one other dog staying so we practically had the grounds to ourselves. The hot tub was a lovely addition and even with Covid we were able to explore and visit many lovely places. Would go again and would recommend.
Richard
We are just back from a wonderful and relaxing week in The Dairy, and it was exactly what we needed! Karen was so welcoming and hospitable, and the house was just perfect for the two of us. Even with the other two accommodations occupied adjacent, we barely noticed anyone else was around. The house was adorable, especially the upstairs suite, and was clean, and the owners fully mindful of the covid advice, which was great. And the garden, surrounding field, and the ducks were a total pleasure. So many lovely places to visit in the vicinity and beyond and super cycle routes. Thank you very much, it was truly peaceful and a perfect weeks staycation!
We had a wonderful stay at the Dairy. The property is lovely and decorated to a high standard, making you feel very much at home. Karen is a friendly and welcoming host and ensured we settled in. The hot tub is a fab addition, also being under cover means it can be enjoyed in all weathers. The shared gardens are beautifully kept and there is so much room that privacy is never an issue. Couple of very minor points we had a couple of issues with intermittent wifi and the kitchen could do with some additional cooking utensils serving dishes etc. We found plenty to do in the area and short drives away. We are already planning a return visit and may look at coming with other family members if we can book more than one property at once.

Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 5 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 13 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 15 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 16 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 26 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 26 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 27 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 27 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 29 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.
