1 Delamere Point Reviews

Ashleigh
Incredible stay in which we can not wait to return! !! Just a few things on arrival, previous guests food still left in the fridge and could have done with a good clean. cobwebs everywhere on the wooden entrance and top windows looking out to the lake. No mat was provided for coming back into the lodge from the outside which meant we had to keep hoovering mopping. Also outside furniture cushions had been left outside and got soaked so unable to use which was a little disappointing. However despite the above the lodge was incredible, down to the finest detail of little trinkets to the beautiful decor. I wish we could have bought it.

We absolutely loved our stay here everything you could want was there with its very own little beach area with sun chairs it was october when we went and had some torrential rain but the views were amazing and to be in the hot tub with the moon glistening on the water was magical. There was plenty of places nearby to go and visit or just sit and look out at the view with the ducks and swans comeing up to your lodge. Will be back next year.
More attention needed for outside areas an empty cider can full of cigarette butts was on the decking a decking plank is poking up which is a trip hazard hot tub had sand in it saw this on previous reviews so contacted Sykes before we travelled to ensure hot tub was clean this did not happen the mat next to the hot tub dirty furniture cushions were there which was good however it had rained most of the day before we arrived no cover on the furniture and no cover anywhere to be seen cushions were totally saturated with water unusable we contacted Sykes to tell them no cover available but no action was taken. The Lodge itself was spotlessly clean and was of a high standard.
Hello. We wanted to say that we had the most wonderful time, the place is absolutely stunning, and we were all blown away by how beautiful it was. Just a little feedback, there were not enough mirrors, we could really have done with a big mirror in the bunk bed room, and the mirror in the twin room was far too small, and tinted glass dont couldnt use it anyway. And the second thing, the ensuite bathroom absolutely stank, of a horrible egg sewage type smell on the second day, and this smell came and went for about 24 hours. But neither of these stopped us having the best time, and loving the lodge! Thank you xxx
What a beautiful place! The position, looking over the lake, with stunning views from the decking and hot tub is absolutely perfect. The inside is beautifully appointed and furnished, and has absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our children adored the built in bunk beds! I had noted from a previous review that there were a few spiders, and so had expected to encounter a couple, but there were loads! Mostly on the outside of the chalet, but if the doors or windows were left open at all they also came in to enjoy the lovely interior. They were easily dealt with by my husband, or the vacuum cleaner, but I'd guess that the gorgeous countryside around the lake provides a haven for wildlife of all varieties, so you have to put up with a few spiders whilst enjoying the ducks, geese and swans! The proximity to Wild Shore was a bonus, we also brought a stand up paddle board and enjoyed the direct access from the private beach for time on the lake with the kids. Booking was simple, communication was great and we hope to stay again soon! Thank you!
Absolutely stunning property. No expense spared in a beautiful location. Best hot tub weve had by far, maintained daily with an amazing view of the lake. Little essentials box provided and all mod cons. Perfect getaway near lots of local things to do. Welcome pack had lots of suggestions for days out and places to eat. We dont often find somewhere we would visit again but this is definitely the place, we loved it.

The property is advertised with garden furniture this was a huge factor is us chosing this property so we could sit out and enjoy the scenery. Once we had settled in after check in we found that the cushions for the outdoor furniture was locked away in outside storage. We called Reception who said they would speak to the owner, the next morning we had to call back as hadn't heard back from them to be told the owner was refusing to give the code. We were told to complain to skyes, we called spoke to a gentleman who said he would speak with owner and get back to us. My return call from skyes was 11am on the Monday after we had checked out. The Reception brought us some cushions from their furniture to use but half our holiday was already gone. It was just really dispointing as the property is beautiful and in such a beautiful location and we didn't really get to enjoy it as we would have liked.
Beautiful property and nice and quiet just what we wanted for our break away will be booking again for sure xxx
The property is beautifully furnished and has everything you need to be completely comfortable. The setting is wonderfully relaxing but is close to really nice restaurants, gastro pubs and coffee shops. The site staff were outstanding and did everything they could to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed.
Amazing getaway, will definitely be booking again in the future.

We all loved it. Cant wait to come back. Weve told our families too!

We were very disappointed after specifically booking this accommodation to find on our arrival that the hot tub hadnt been heated and wasnt ready until the following day. We called the helpline to be told there was nothing to be done.
