Woodman's Lodge Reviews

A convenient base to explore the local area. The lodge was spacious and homely, and our children loved it the highlight definitely being the hot tub. The lodge was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again if we were visiting the area.
Andrew
Lovely spot but the maintenance not so great inside. And cleanliness needs improving
Richard
A lovely lodge to stay at and we were made to feel very welcome during our stay.
Malcolm
The property fulfilled all our requirements in every possible way. The location on the quiet but accessible site on the outskirts of the town was ideal for our needs. The excellent compact facilities provided everything required for an enjoyable stay.
The lodge was very well placed for visiting Nantwich and site location was well maintained in pleasant grounds. It was warm and comfortable. The cleanliness was adequate but towels, bed linen were not of the quality that we have come to expect with Sykes. Also crockery and cutlery was inadequate and not of a good standard.
Great lodge, great settings and helpful people. Thank you so much we had the best weekend ! Would highly recommend
Lindsay
We zijn uitgerust. Alles is goed geregeld. Alles is in het huis aanwezig. De ontvangst was of je ze al 100 jaar kent.
Carole
Absolutely perfect stay! It was outstanding and a big shout to Anthony who came to our assistance at a moments notice.. Regards Carole x
Beautiful lodge. Fabulous decor. High spec. Had a fab time. Would highly recommend
Arlene
Beautiful lodge, with all mod cons set in a beautiful garden and surrounding countryside. The hot tub was a welcome addition. Nantwich is a lovely town, flat and pedistrianised so great to walk around. A few places to go locally ie canals, ice cream farm, farm shopcoffee shop and further a field, North Wales and Chester and of course the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park. We did have a problem on our second last day with electrics, phoned Anthony to report the issue and by the time we returned that day, a new oven had been installed, can't ask for better service.
Really lovely stay. Owners lovely and friendly. Beautiful location, plenty of space inside and out. Thank you.
Hamish
An absolute delight, 5star! The owner Anthony maintains a very very high standard in all aspects. Go visit you too will be delighted. Hamish, Edinburgh.
A wonderful lodge on a beautifully kept site, walking distance to Nantwich. Lovely owner. Will definitely return.

Brilliant booking process. Lovely stay. Went for a mums weekend away so hot tub was essential! A couple of issues with parking and only having 1 key to access, the former being resolved. There was a small issue with the cleanliness inside one of the cupboards with a cheese grater not being clean we had dairy and gluten allergies. Not having a few dishwasher tablets and enough plates to use it was inconvenient. Hot tub divine. Nantwich beautiful with lovely walks, cafes and bookstores.
Excellent stay at woodsmans Lodge. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable, peaceful location, hit tub was excellent. Will definitely return.
Louise
Lovely Lodge very clean with everything in it we needed for our weeks stay. A very peaceful area to stay with nice views all around.Jill met us when we arrived to tell us all about the lodge and how things worked and Anthony popped to see us the following morning to see if we had everything we needed which was really lovely. I would highly recommend a stay at Woodmans Lodge.
Natalie
Beautiful property! Never stayed anywhere so peaceful. Really nice site, views and experience thank you!! We will definitely be coming back
Our stay at the woodmans was excellent. The lodge was very clean and has everything you need. We will definitely be coming back in the future!
Stayed at the woodmans lodge for 3 nights, the lodge was very spacious and clean. The facilities were great and everything was provided including pans, crockery, lots of utensils, and plenty of towels. The site is secure and staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.
Judith
Fantastic holiday. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Beautiful lodges very well equipped and maintained. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Woodman's Lodge. The lodge itself is lovely, clean and well maintained. It was our first trip away since the pandemic so was a real treat. The hot tub was just amazing, we're trying to refrain from buying one ourselves! The lodge had everything we needed and was just the perfect home away from home. The owner, Anthony was so friendly and helpful, answering any questions before we got there and after we arrived. We also met Jill who was lovely and made herself available to help and answer any questions too. The area is so beautiful, with a little lake just a couple of mins drive away and the Nantwich Town Centre close too. Highly recommend a visit! We've told a lot of our friends about this lodge, even sharing the link we'd definitely recommend staying here to anyone!
Beautiful, peaceful and everything you need. Like home from home. All of the staff were polite and welcoming and seen walking around should you need anything. The hot tub was well looked after. Will recommend to friends and family.
Lesley
Had a great time. The property was amazing and the owner was soo helpful. Such a lovely guy, nothing was ever too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.
Lovely lodge. Very wellcwquiped clean and comfortable. Owner greeted us and was lovely and helpful but never interfered with us. Relaxing break. Would highly recommend.
Amazing lodge for a 3 night mid week stop. Beautiful and peaceful surrounding, very clean with good facilities. Nice furnishings with a beautiful Christmas really made our stay feel like a home from home.
Yes we loved the nice and relaxing jacuzzi! Highly recommended
Rachael
We loved our 5 night stay. The lodge was larger than expected and good quality furnishings throughout. Great peaceful location. Any issues were sorted out quickly. For example our hot tub stopped working and the owner fixed it very quickly. My only slight gripe is that it would have been good to have more plates, glasses and mugs only four of each but other than that it was excellent.
Steven
Clean, convenient location. Everything we needed. Friendly owners. Would recommend and would stay again.
Pamela
Lovely quiet place, lodge was of a high standard only negative would be to have more utensils and plates. Owner was always polite and really helpful and nothing was too much trouble Would love to go back
Raheesa
Loved the lodge, however the listing doesnt say you have neighbours so it is not extremely isolated. The hot tub can definitely do with little shelter as its not always dry and sunny. Other than that, the stay and location are perfect! Definitely recommend.
Olivia
Loved our weekend at the lodge. Owners very friendly and accommodating, lodge was beautiful, great location. Thank you
We have just returned back from a weeks staycation in Nantwich and ad a wonderful holiday in a lovely location and enjoyed staying at Woodmans lodge. The owners were very helpful and meet us on arrival to inform us of all the information we needed while staying . The one and only negative issue was in relation to the hot tub, which did not meet our expectations, being hot tub owners ourselves it was obvious that it was quite an old tub and although the water was cleaned with chemicals daily, it appeared that it had been sometime since it was fully drained and cleaned. But other than the above we enjoyed our time in Woodmans Lodge and hope to visit The willows campsite again in our caravan. Thank you Mr and Mrs Horton.
We just come home from a lovely relaxing stay at woodmans lodge , the lodge was beautiful modern and very clean , sat just on the edge of a small beautiful and well looked after touring park the views of the country were outstanding, Adrian the owner was lovely and there to welcome us , we couldnt of asked for a better place , if your looking for a peaceful relaxing break far away from normal busy life we would highly recommend these lodges . .already looking at rebooking for sometime soon ..thank you for a fantastic break
Duncan
The accommodation is generous, with plenty of space and all of the comforts needed for a great stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, happy to answer questions, without being intrusive. We only wish we could have stayed longer than the weekend we had there.
Eileen
The lodge, the surroundings, the owners, every thing was much better than we could have ever imagined. I couldn't fault a thing.
Benjamin
Absolutely stunning location, great staff, lovely interior, beautiful few days away!

Really enjoyed our holiday! Woodmans lodge was clean, comfortable and like a home away from home. Hot tub was a fabulous touch!

Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.

Fantastic attraction in the Cheshire region suited to family days out as well as school and corporate visits.  The "Jawsome" sharks are a sight to behold and new for 2010 is the Tarantula Tower.  You can save time and money by bookings online and at the moment they are offering a discount of £2.00 per person when you book this way.  Winner of the Visit Chester and Cheshire Best Tourism Experience of the Year - you can be assured of a fun and educational day out.  Look out for special events throughout the year including Boo! Described on their own website as a "fairytale adventure" there is a nursery rhyme and fairytale characters theme running throughout the park. One inside the park you can enjoy unlimited free rides and there's an indoor soft play area for the younger ones and for when the weather is not on your side.  Another popular aspect of this attraction is the nature trail.  Check out their website for the latest events and admission costs.
