The cottage was really comfortable and well equipped and set in beautiful countryside. The owners have decorated the house with interesting art and a great book selection. We definitely recommend and only wish we had been able to stay longer!

Everything well. If there is anything to mention which is a constructive criticism is , my husband was a bit taken aback by the last minute exit conduct. The owners were already outside our stay 10 minutes to 10 and literally rushed us and made us feel like we were late for our exit. We literally cleaned the whole house from as early as 8am on the 14th. Please advise them as nice and punctual they are that they should wait outside and not bring the cleaner. As mothers we actually did not mind.

The Gatehouse is beautifully located in the peaceful Welsh countryside. Wolfgang and Kingsley were extremely welcoming and we loved being able to wander through their garden. The house had everything we needed to relax and we spent a wonderful week taking time to be together as a family. The hot tub and clear skies made for wonderful star gazing ev enings too. Wonderful remote location for a get away from it all break. Cottage was very well-equipped with four good sized bedrooms. Table tennis table and hot tub got plenty of use. The gardens and surrounding woodland provide plenty of walking opportunities. Would be very keen to book again, maybe in the summer

Really great place to stay. The whole family really enjoyed the break the gardens surrounding the house where very nice to walk around. The house was clean and comfortable with all pots and pans supplied. Kitchen area was a huge space and a favourite of ours.

We had the most amazing time here for Christmas the house had everything we could ask for we loved playing in the games room and using the hot tub we was surrounded by beautiful views we loved having the log fire on at night we had a pleasure of walking around the gardens which are stunning and we met Kingsley and Wolfgang who are so friendly and w elcoming and very talented I could not of asked for a better Christmas Im missing this place already

Lovely cottage and location was perfect for us. Rural enough for peace and tranquility but easy access to the nearest town. Hot tub was a fantastic bonus to this property and all facilities and equipment were fabulous. The surrounding area was stunning and the owners of this place were very welcoming.

Our stay at 'The Artists Garden House' (The Gatehouse) this month was wonderful. Five of us had such a great time. Kingsley and Wolfgang were so lovely to us, making us feel at home. The House was brilliant, and their home is like the most beautiful fairy tale home, inside and out. The House had all the space we needed, and more. The gardens are magical...inspiring...beautiful - during the day, and at night. We spent a lovely afternoon sitting in the grounds, painting (we're all novices, but were inspired). We had a murder mystery, dressed for dinner, explored, read, played board games, and the hot tub was great too. Kingsley and Wolfgang have created such a lovely home, gardens and Gatehouse that they should be seen by others who love beautiful gardens and quirky creative homes. They also advised us on places to visit that were inspiring too. Thank you both for opening up your great space to us, and particularly for your openness and acceptance as we are a quirky bunch. x

We had an incredible stay at The Gatehouse last week. Kingsley and Wolfgang were outstanding hosts and their hospitality, combined with the wonderful, almost fairytale grounds and beautiful cottage were outstanding. The house itself is exceptionally large and gave us all space to enjoy our own hobbies then come together for cosy dinners, before sit ting under the stars in the hot tub. I really can't recommend this property highly enough. We hope to return one day

This holiday property was wonderful. The house is very spacious with several bathrooms. A big kitchen with a huge dining table. Living area is lovely, lots of seating and a nice fire. The surrounds are very beautiful. Nice gardens to walk around take in. The hot tub was a real treat which we enjoyed. Very clean and located on the balcony with a sup erb views. This would suit a family or a group of friends. Very spacious, very comfortable. Ideal for a quiet and peaceful holiday.
