Hillside House Reviews

Really lovely place and so relaxing, nice and clean . Chickens larmas and sheep all eat out of your hand . Would be happy to stop there again
Was an amazing experience. Accommodation was clean and well pleasant. Owner was on the grounds, and made a point of welcoming us and asking if there was anything we needed. Communication was great, would highly recommend! Thank you for making our summer break so enjoyable!

Lovely grounds to the house and absolutely amazing views. The sheep, alpacas and chickens were a great bonus little one loved these! However, the cottage itself wasn't exactly clean. There was still hair in the shower from those who stayed before us and the floor was dirty downstairs. There wasn't a washing machine in the cottage as stated on the listing and a bit more info on the surrounding area e.g. restaurants, things to do etc as a welcome pack would have been nice. Overall, it was okay but needs a serious deep clean.

The house was nice and the views were wonderful, the house hadnt seen a duster or polish in a while, kitchen area very small. Shower broke whilst in use, but was replaced the same day. Needs another mirror upstairs and a clothes rail in both rooms, had to go up and down stairs to get dressed do hair and makeup as the mirror was in the living area. The football table was not there as shown in the photos. Welcome book had nothing in, could have provided some info on the area, take away menus or even somewhere for guest to leave recommendations on where to goeat. It could also include the price list to hire the hot tub which are overpriced Overall it wasnt bad but would not return. I will say they communicated well via email and very kindly posted an item I left behind. But would have been nice for them to say hello and come and speak in person as the house is literally on their back garden.
Really enjoyed our stay was all we hoped for
Property in a good place and clean. Some niggling omissions No instructions for heating cooker microwave and dishwasher to No mirror up stairs difficult to dry hair with hair dryer and make up to get ready for an evening out No hand towels Nothing to hang clothes in family bedroom Nothing to hang outdoor clothes and dry wet clothing and shoes
