Flanders House Reviews

Clara
We really enjoyed our stay here! The house is in a perfect spot, close to a handy shop just a short walk away. Inside, it’s well kitted out with comfy beds and a spacious lounge with plenty of seating. The terrace offers lovely views, ideal for relaxing. Just a heads up, there are quite a few stairs both inside and outside, so not great if stairs are a problem. Parking for two cars was a plus too!
Emma
This place is fantastic! The house is really spacious and cosy, with everything we needed. Perfect spot-just a short stroll to Matlock town, a lovely pub nearbyand stunning walks right outside the door.
Emma
Flanders House was a lovely stay for our group of four couples. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped, with super comfy beds and cosy furnishings. It’s perched on a steep hill, so not ideal if mobility’s an issue. Matlock’s got plenty to do and some lovely eateries. We really enjoyed it!
Emma
Lovely place, great spot, definitely worth visiting!
James
Comfortable house, fantastic location for exploring, we really enjoyed our stay! Would return.

We had a fantastic stay at this spacious house, perfect for our group of 7 ladies. The beds were super comfy and the bedrooms felt nice and roomy. The garden was a real sun trap, ideal for relaxing outside. The hot tub area had a table and chairs, which meant we could sit and chat while some soaked. Everything we needed was thereand the living and dining spaces worked well, though a larger sofa might be an improvement. Great spot, especially being so close to the Red Lion pub in Matlock for Sunday roasts. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
Loved staying here again! Perfect for three generations, comfy, cleanand feels like a home from home. Can't wait to return!
Emma Roberts
We had such a great family weekend here! The cottage was spotless, super comfyand the beds were especially cosy. The bedrooms are really spacious too. Yes, those steep steps down to the property are a bit tricky, but it was all in the description. We loved relaxing in the garden and hot tub, especially with the weather being so nice. The footpath to town was handy, but do book early for meals on bank holidays - it gets busy! Overall, a lovely place we’d definitely come back to.
Emma
The house was lovely, with really spacious bedrooms and super comfy beds. The big social lounge was great for everyone. Easy stroll to Matlock’s pubs and eateries. Perfect for our family weekend!
Emma

Emma
We had a lovely stay at this place! The house was spotless and really well looked after. The hosts went above and beyond when we had a problem with the electrics-they came out promptly to sort it. It’s on a steep hill, so mobility might be tricky for some, but we’d definitely return!
Emma
We spent a lovely weekend at Flanders House celebrating my dad’s 80th and my sister’s 50th with the family. The place was spot on - the bedrooms were stunning and super comfyand the lounge felt really cosy. The views from the house are just breathtaking. We loved the decor and the huge dining table. There’s a nice walk into townand we went for runs in the park and along the river. Definitely recommend trying The Red Lion restaurant nearby - about 10 mins in a taxi, great food!
Emma

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house is beautifully appointed, with three en-suite bedrooms and a fourth with a private bathroom nearby - perfect for our group. The views from the living room and bedrooms are truly stunning. There’s loads of space, with two big dining tables and comfy sofas. The outdoor area, especially the secluded hot tub, was a real highlight. Plus, it’s just a short 5-minute walk into Matlock, which is handy and charming.
Emma
We had a lovely weekend here! The place was spotless, nicely decoratedand super peaceful. The beds were so comfyand there was plenty of crockery and cutlery for everyone. We enjoyed the selection of gamesand the wood burner was straightforward to use. The views are stunningand the garden furniture was perfect for relaxing outside. We didn’t get to try the hot tub, but it looked really secluded. Just a short walk into Matlock town centre, which was handy. We’d definitely come back!
Emma

James
The living space is smart, with comfy bedrooms and a lovely view, even if the area around isn’t the most scenic. Watch out for the steep steps-wouldn’t recommend for anyone with mobility problems.
Alex
