Lovely cottage, very clean, comfortable furnishings and comfy beds. Everything you could want was there. It is at the top of a steep hill so not great for the less able. Matlock has plenty going on and nice restaurants. We enjoyed our stay at Flanders House. A group of four couples.

Lovely stay at this house! Very clean and well presented. Hosts were amazing as we had an issue with the electricity tripping and they came out to fix the issue! House is located on a steep hill, so those with mobility issues may struggle but we had no issues. Would definitely stay again!

Smart living room and bedrooms, and nice view, albeit not in the most attractive part of Matlock. Very steep steps into the property - not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The cottage was luxurious and the view amazing. You could see the mountains and the Riber Castle. Cottage rooms were all very good size. En-suites were really good.. .
Susan
Comfortable, clean, well equipped cottage with lovely views. Steep steps but not a problem for us, the owners have thoughtfully put stair gates on each landing. Young grandchildren had a great time with lots of day trips out in the car nearby and a secure garden to play in. Matlock has a lovely park, playground and great park cafe which is walkable down the steep hill, the road is very busy so careful supervision walking there needed for the children. Parking a bit tight but we had 2 big cars.
Deborah
Beautiful home in a lovely location. We all really enjoyed the property, the garden, the hot tub and the surrounding amazing countryside. Cromford and the canal, high peaks trail, Chatsworth and Matlock itself to Pic Tor were all favourites.
Bruce
don't be fooled by the exterior on approach, what does not look like much from the road hides a fantastic property on the inside. Lots of open space for family time, playing games, eating and socialising. Lots of outdoor space for all the family. Very clean, well appointed and beautifully finished. The close proximity to Matlock makes this an ideal location and cottage for a family holiday.
Rebecca
Lovely cottage and perfect location. Very well equipped with everything you could need and a fantastic view out back. My party had a wonderful time and we hope to be back.
Lucy
This is a superbly well equipped house, with plenty of space. The garden is completely dog proof for peace of mind and its only a matter of minutes to walk into the centre of Matlock. We loved our stay and wouldnt hesitate to wholeheartedly recommend this lovely property.
Claire
It was a fabulous stay, the location, facilities and the house were just perfect all my friends agreed it was one of our best trips and wed all return separately with our families
Alison
This property was so lovely and we had the best time. It is spotless and so comfortable I could have moved in! Views were lovely and the location also made it easy to walk to the town centre for food and drinks. We would definately stay again.
Gary
Lovely accommodation very close to the centre we was a family off 8 adults and all bedrooms made to suit couples, the beds where very comfortable and extremely large. The only issue we had was the accommodation was on a very steep hill which our parents struggled with. We all ate on Saturday night at Viva restaurant in Matlock, we pre booked meals in advance but still had to wait over an hour for and some of the meals was so poor we complained and got them removed.
Jackie
Fabulous house with everything you could need for a self catering break. The house is beautifully furnished with stunning views (especially when covered in snow). Location is great for walking into Matlock which is only minutes away. The road is quite busy and there is some road noise but this didnt detract from the lovely weekend celebrating my 60 th birthday.
Tracy
Lovely location and convenient to the town. The house is well stocked and the owners extremely helpful when we contacted them. They answered immediately and dealt with our queries. Very comfortable bedrooms and lounge.
Jacqueline
Fabulous stay at Flanders House. Spotless clean and everything you need in a holiday home equipment wise. Great location with fantastic views from front of house.
Alexandra
Was a wonderful place to stay, were hoping to book again next year! There is a shop local too, so was great to pop out and get things wed forgotten like coffee and dishwasher tablets!! Hot tub was amazing, definite highlight!
Kelly
Really lovely and spacious for the whole family. Was very clean and kitchen well stocked with enough for the whole family.
Sasha
Such a lovely house with amazing views, one of the best holiday homes Ive stayed in. The living/dining room (great space for socialising) and master bedroom are very large with outstanding views that looked beautiful even on a rainy day and really have the wow factor. The beds are very comfortable and the master bed in particular is huge. Thoughtfu l touches by the owners; very clean; large fridge/freezer; modern bathrooms; walking distance to the town centre; off road parking spaces. Book it!
Nina
Great property, lovely views and easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit in the area
Janine
Great spacious and well presented house. Lots to offer groups and families. The owners have put lots of thought into making your stay special. They went above and beyond on our stay to make everything perfect.
Elizabeth
The house is beautiful. Luxuriously furnished, with nothing missing and extremely comfortable beds! The outdoor spaces are great, and you can enjoy a lovely evening in the hot tub, lit by the lamppost in the garden! If youre not used to an induction hob it can be a bit tricky, but otherwise everything was great!
