Honestly, Swinmoor House was fantastic. Everything was top-notch, from the stunning decor to the cosy feel. Parking was no issue at all, even with ten of us and five cars. It really went beyond what we hoped for, loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The house was stunning and had everything we needed, from comfy beds to great amenities. The kids loved having loads of space to play both inside and out, which was perfect. The electric car charger was a bonus too. A couple of minor issues popped up, but they were sorted fast. The peaceful location with amazing views made it even better, plus a nice pub just a mile away. Lovely place!

We stayed here with a big group of eight adults and honestly, we had a lovely time. The weather was a bit gloomy, but the garden kept us entertained with volleyball, croquetand badminton. The large dining table was great for playing board games too. My sons loved the hot tub - it’s really comfy and big enough for everyone. The location’s stunning, with the countryside nearby and a big supermarket just 12 minutes away. Definitely a place we’d come back to!

We recently spent a long weekend at Swinmoor House for a girls' catch-upand honestly, it was fantastic. The house is beautifully decorated with loads of space for everyone, making it super comfortable. Joanna's communication was spot-on, sending us plenty of helpful info beforehand. We did need to get in touch when we arrived to sort out a couple of minor things, which she sorted within the hour. Highly recommend Joanna's places, especially given the stunning location - definitely a place to return to!

This place is gorgeous! The three en-suite bedrooms are perfectand the other two share two massive bathrooms right across. The kitchen and dining area are absolutely stunning, fully stocked with high-quality stuff. If you're planning a stay around here, definitely consider this house-it's truly fabulous and worth putting at the top of your list!

We stayed at Swinmoor House for my 50th birthday weekand honestly, it made the celebration really memorable. The house is stunningly decorated and we hated to leave! They catered well for everyone, mostly aged between 40 and 64. Joanna and Cheryl were fantastic-super helpful with all our questions and great at communication. We made some lovely memories and definitely plan to come back again. Highly recommend!

At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Queenswood Country Park - HR6 0PY

Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Puzzlewood - GL16 8QB
about 21 Miles
Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR

Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
