Tri Afon Reviews

James
Great place to stay, really enjoyed it! Just wish there was somewhere in the en-suite to store toiletries, that’s all.
Emma Carter
Really enjoyed our time here! The house was spotless and felt cosy, with all the essentials. The hot tub and games room were fantastic touches that made our stay extra special. We’re already planning to come back someday!
Jamie
We had a fantastic stay at this lovely place. The house is beautifully furnished and feels really cosy, with lots of thoughtful touches that make it feel like a proper home. The three double bedrooms are perfect for friends or couples, with no one fighting over who gets the best room! The owner was super helpful and quick to reply to any questions. Plus, the local shop is well stocked, even if it’s only open a few days a year. Great spot for hill walks and exploring nearby towns. Definitely a lucky find for us!
Emily
We spent an amazing weekend at Tri Afon celebrating a 60th birthdayand it couldn’t have been better! The house is so well thought out, with comfy sofas and a kitchen that had everything we needed. We loved the hot tub and the games room-had some cracking table tennis matches! Evenings in the sun room were just perfect. The little touches really made it special for our family get-together. Everything was top quality, really a lovely place to stay. Thanks so much!
Jamie
Lovely spot, super clean, modern decor, we really enjoyed our stay.

Emma
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was stunning, spotlessly cleanand had everything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. The farm’s car charger a mile away was a real bonus too!
Oliver
This property is fantastic! It has everything you could possibly need and is in a lovely area. We would definitely recommend the entire experience.
Clara
Fantastic base for walking and unwinding. All the little extras were really helpful like flip flops to reach the hot tub. Spacious home well laid out for 6 adults, so we could all sit together but also find our own space. We were a bit concerned about the narrow roads, but we got used to them quickly and they turned out to be no problem. The locals were super friendly. There’s plenty to do nearby - loads of footpaths and local walks. The local shop was handy, but it’s a short drive into Abergavenny, which is pretty convenient too. There's a lovely wool shop in Abergavenny as well!
Emma
A really beautiful holiday cottage in a superb setting with stunning 360 degree views of the mountains and countryside. There is absolutely nothing you need to bring with you, as the owner has thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. Our group had six adults and two dogs. The hot tub is excellent and was plenty roomy for us to enjoy all together. The boot room is a great sizeand our German Shepherd was most content sleeping in there. Just fab!
Mark
This truly is an excellent holiday cottage: well equipped, well cared for and very tastefully decorated. It’s also really spacious. The location is stunning with a mountain on one side and fields on the otherand there are lots of wonderful walks to enjoy. Our two teenagers were just as into it as we were: a games room, two TVs and the hot tub (from which we saw stars, planets, satellites and the odd shooting star). There’s also a superb village shop. The owners are really responsive if you happen to need them.
Caroline
This is a lovely cottage in a really nice area. Three good sized double bedrooms with comfortable beds and three bathrooms meant a really comfortable stay for three adult couples with no tricky discussions about who got the best room! The layout downstairs was also good with plenty of room to eat together and socialise. Lovely walks available strai ght from the door and convenient village shop and pub. Availability of an electric car charger at the owner's property was also a plus point for us.
John
A really comfortable but spacious home-from-home. Plentiful facilities and equipment are provided, to a very high standard; we (three couples + dog) had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The views are magnificent, with plenty of walking options from the door.
Emily
We loved the brilliant location, especially having a handy pub so close! The cottage is full of character and was toasty warm, so thank you!
Mark
We had a brilliant time at Tri Afon Cottage! I can’t recommend it enough. We visited as a family with three adult couples and it had everything we needed.
Simon
This property is excellent, really comfortable with everything you need for a lovely holiday. The views around the property are just stunning and they definitely add a lot to the experience. There are plenty of sunny spots to sit back and enjoy the fresh air from morning to night. The hot tub is super easy to use and so relaxing, especially after a hike or a walk. The games room is a fantastic bonus for both young and old. The comfy beds plus a bathroom for each room is just perfect!
David
We absolutely loved our time at Tri Afon! The house is really well equipped and it's in such a beautiful location with loads to do and explore nearby. The communication from the owner was fantasticand we truly appreciated the homemade cupcakes and other treats waiting for us when we arrived. We’re definitely planning to come back. Thank you!
James
Unfortunately, the local pub was shut, but we came across two others that were a lot of fun! The owners, Sally and Martin, were super welcoming and even offered some excellent provisions. The cottage was exceptional. Well done!
Sarah
This is definitely the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed atand we’re already planning to return! From the amazing location and its stunning views to the spacious and comfy inside, we really couldn't have asked for more.
Emily
We all agreed with the other guest comments we read online. The welcome box was amazing! We didn't have to bring any basics ourselves. The beds were so luxuriousand the views were lovely. Being committed games players, we found the selection already there really useful. My son and daughter are both runners and discovered some great routes around the countryside and on local quiet roads. Although the weather wasn't great, we managed to explore a bit. We also indulged in a visit to restaurant 1861and it was superb.
