Faultlessly lovely stay - even more beautiful and restful than pictures showed. Thank you so much and thank you for your friendly, can-do approach as well. You have a beautiful place and are lovely people - cant praise you enough
Matthew
Lovely lodge on a nice quiet site. Lodge was clean and comfortable, lovely sitting in the hot tub at night looking at the stars. There is a really well equipped gym on site. The pool was pretty cold in October but lovely so we tried to have a quick dip each day because we thought it was good for the soul! Would definitely return again.

We had a lovely relaxing week away! The natural pool area was beautiful and the small number of lodges resulted in a tranquil stay. The lodges were very clean and well equipped for self catering.

A wonderful place to stay. Beautifully clean in and outside of the property. Facilities were great. My dogs loved walking in the woods. Was fun to watch the resident donkeys playing. Hot tub, natural pool, sauna and gym were brilliant. We didn't lneed to leave the site at all. Will definitely return.

Darter Retreat is an absolute gem. Views from the veranda were perfect; our dog sat watching the birds while we relaxed, enjoying cups of tea. The location is fantastic for walks. We had a lovely break here. The accomodation was perfect, super clean and had everything you need. The gym was amazing, so well equipped. Our hot tub started leaking a bit half way through, but the owners were fantastic, right onto trying to sort it letting us use a different tub, so no complaints there. The swimming pond was lovely (not the faint Read morehearted in March of course). All in all we were very happy and would defintely recommend. Hide

The cottage is really nice, especially the peaceful setting and the hot tub at the back. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen is quite spacious. The twin bedroom was fine for our kids (4 and 6) but might be a bit small for 2 adults. Overall, there wasn't a huge amount to do for children (just 2 swings, no toys etc in the cottage) so don't recommenRead mored this if you are expecting them to self-entertain a lot. Hide

Deborah
A spacious comfortable lodge in a splendid setting, the beds and sofa are very comfy. The attraction for us was the amazing outdoor pool and we loved this, especially as the weather was so hot. It was very quiet when we stayed which added to our enjoyment. The outdoor decking at the front and the back is lovely, with the lodges being well spaced an d quite private. We had a dog and the woods / grounds are ideal for a quick walk. Michelle and Clive are onsite and are friendly and helpful.
Karin
A well equipped and welcoming location.

Lovely relaxing weekend where we could just chill. Lodge had everything we needed. I would advise that there is nothing in walking distance from the lodge.
JL

This is our second visit to Darter Retreat and we will be back . Beautiful location and very well presented and well equipped lodge. The hot tub at the rear is very private and we loved every minute of spending time in there and then returning to the cosy lodge. The natural pool area at the front of the lodge is beautiful. Lovely rural views from e very angle. Walked on Malvern Hills which is only 30 minutes drive away. Highly recommended .
Philippa
Our kids described it as the best holiday ever, and it really was. The lodge was spotless and well decorated. The hot tub was amazing and easy to use. We loved sitting in it after the kids had gone to bed to gaze at the stars. The natural pool was of course freezing but clean and lovely and refreshing. The gym had a really good assortment of equipm ent and kids are allowed in which ours loved. The donkeys are adorable and friendly and the kids enjoyed feeding them. Perfect holiday for our family
Belinda
Beautiful accommodation, everything you could need is provided with kind, helpful hosts. Very grateful for a really nurturing holiday.
Tony
My wife and I have great experience of cottage holidays and would suggest it would be very difficult to find another property in such a serene setting. All the facilities, including the swimming pool, sauna, gymnasium and hot tub fitted to each of the four wooden chalets on this secluded site are of exceptional quality. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. We will certainly be recommending this property to our friends.
Jason
Amazing stay in a beautiful, quiet location. Owners are so friendly and helpful. Beds are so comfy; my GF and I had an amazing nights sleep everynight. Hot tub was clean and well looked after, natural pool was stunning.
