We're already thinking about coming back in the summer to sit outside on the balcony with a drink. We loved using the hot tub and the gym was pretty impressive, plus the sauna on the last night was a nice touch, especially after a quick dip in the icy pool! Itâ€™s a shame there arenâ€™t any pubs within walking distance, but a short drive made things easy. Our son was happy to do the driving, so we could really unwindand he reckons itâ€™s the best WI-FI heâ€™s had on holiday!

Clive and Shelley made us feel so welcome; theyâ€™re genuinely friendly folks. The location was peacefuland the minimal light pollution meant we could enjoy stargazing from the hot tub-such a magical experience! The resident donkey, Flintstone, was adorable and quite the character, always up for a carrot. We really didnâ€™t want to leave after four nights. Definitely a place to unwind and relax-highly recommend!

Puzzlewood - GL16 8QB

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
