Timber Barn Reviews

Nicholas
This is a perfect house for a winter stay. Warm, welcoming and very well presented. The Christmas decorations were a lovely, seasonal touch.
Fabulous barn absolutely huge! Had everything you could think of except a pair of tongs for the kitchen!! Christmas trees and a bottle of wine was a really nice touch as well. Very tidy working farm around us too. Highly recommended
Claire
We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay in Timber Barn. We had everything we needed to feed a family of 11 for the weekend. In fact I think this was the best stocked holiday rental kitchen Ive ever seen! Very much appreciated. Only slight downside was the expectation to strip bed linen prior to leaving. For the cost of the stay this was a bit of a surprise. Other than that no complaints. Good comms from the owner prior to arrival. Would definitely recommend this venue for a large gathering. Thank you.
Spence
Gorgeous property. Great location. Couldnt have asked for more . The perfect place to spend the long weekend with great friends .
Nicholas
We really enjoyed our stay at Timber Barn. The property is of a high specification and exactly as described in the listing. The small freezer would have been a struggle for a two week stay, but we were quickly offered extra freezer space. Thank you.
Timber barn was a well equipped holiday home. There was plenty of space for three generations to enjoy. Being in the middle of a working farm was a great experience for the children. It was a splendid base to discover the beautiful area. We would have liked an area outside that we could have gated off so the smaller children would have a safer space to play. We had a lovely holiday. Thank you
Fantastic holiday home, everything you could wish for, would definitely recommend for a holiday. Very spacious and clean. Ziggi the owner was very charming and friendly and very helpful. Stayed with 7 other friends and planning to return next year. Anne Renella.

We had a wonderful time at Timber Barn . Very spacious, comfortable , clean and well equipped , on a working farm but very peaceful with lovely walks in the blackcurrant fields and tracks around the farm. The courtyard garden and hot tub provided plenty of space for five grandchildren to play and for us six adults to enjoy watching the fun they were having. Ziggi, who owns the barn is very welcoming , making sure we had everything we needed and telling us about good walks and birds and animals to watch out for It was one of the best places we have stayed for family celebrations , we will look forward to going to Timber Barn again .
Ten of us four couples and two adult singles spent a very pleasant week here celebrating a special birthday. There is plenty of room to be together and also plenty of capacity to hideaway for some quiet time. Timber Barn is well appointed and fittedout. The hostessowner lives close by on site which is a working farm so possibly not ideal for young children slthough this did not apply to us & she was very obliging about sorting out the few random queries that turned up. The venue is ideally tucked away and conveniently close for holiday siteseeing such as the black & white villages of the area, also Hereford, Ludlow and Hay on Wye . Also good for a walk into the local village itself historic and charming!. Thank you.
Lesley-anne
Timber Barn is fantastic. Plenty of room for everyone in our party of 11. It was lovely having two large living areas a quiet room and the hub room in the kitchen. Hot tub was great, lovely walks, house was equipped with everything you need, beds were really comfortable and the bedrooms and ensuites were clean as was all of the barn. The tennis court was a favourite. Would definitely book again for another family trip.
Rachel
Had a fantastic week at the Timber Barn. The owner was very friendly and nearby if we needed anything. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. We loved the hot tub and the tennis court and made use of the BBQ and the summer house.
Absolutely fantastic stay. Great welcome from host to beautiful house with space enough for our whole family . Facilities in the house were excellent and hot tub and tennis court were added pleasures especially for the children.
Yvonne
We had a very comfortable stay at Timber Barn. The cottage is huge but cosy, with plenty of parking and everything you need. We enjoyed the hot tub most days
Jacquie
This is the second time weve stayed at the barn and loved our stay as much as the first time. The barn is very well equipped and with plenty of room and facilities for 12. The availability of kitchen equipment and crockery is great, particularly when catering for large numbers, The hot tub is always a firm favourite, particularly after long walks in the area. The property and the facilities lends itself to relaxing time. I would highly recommend the property.
ie-claire
The property was beautiful. My main issue was that the fridges weren't entirely clean when we arrived, noise travelled easily making the house pretty noisy and the host didn't provode enough toilet paper. That said, the rooms were warm and comfortable, the hot tub was stunning and we had a great time walking around the local area. I would stay again.
Was a gorgeous house, we had problems with the hottub on the Saturday, it got checked and filled up around 10am and needed to wait about 4 hours for it to reach temperature 4 hours later it had been put on eco and wasnt warm enough. The owner was away for the weekend and the numbers in the help book wasnt available basically telling us to Google it. A lovely man called Tom managed get to get the user manual by the time we done that, it was ready for us to use on the Sunday which most of the group had left by then, the house is stunning we even had a karaoke machine we bought with us and zigi didnt mind, we hired the place for a week but only stayed for a long weekend the price was the same we all had a relaxing time a lovely little get away
12 of us stayed in the house for my 40th birthday, children and adults. The house was beautiful and very clean. It had all the things we could possibly need from crockery to pots & pans and a coffee machine. All the bedrooms were spotless and really comfortable. The hostess was lovely and willing to provide anything we may need. We all loved the hot tub and were very lucky that we had cold, crisp nights to see the stars while enjoying the lovely tub. Id definitely recommend this house!
A lovely barn, really well equipped and perfect location.
Annabel
The Timber Barn lived up to all our expectations and proved the perfect setting for our first family get together. It was warm, well equipped, spacious and affordable, we're just sorry we couldn't take advantage of staying longer but will factor that in for the future!! It was a really nice touch having a Christmas tree in one of the sitting rooms, the perfect background for our Secret Santa. Thank you also for the goodies you left for us including dog biscuits... nice! Despite the very chilly weather the hot tub was enjoyed by many of us, although the frost never managed to clear on the tennis court for it to be safe to use. Maybe next time! A couple of suggestions from the group offer What 3 Words for directions we did this for our takeaway delivery, it's used by lots of people these days, gets round wordy directions and also fairly essential if needing emergency services. the house manual could do with a make over. maybe include a simple guide to using showers. These are just minor things. As you can probably tell we had a great time. Thank you, Annabel
Lovely property set in wonderful countryside. Accommodation was large enough for 3 families to share and enjoy. Access to hot tub and tennis court were great extras. Friendly and thoughtful host. We highly recommend.
Alison
We had a lovely birthday celebration weekend the cottage was really well equipped and the host was charming.
If you like peace and quiet this place is amazing, we all had a fantastic time at The Timber Barn, the hot tub was a great addition and the kitchen has everything you could need.
It was one of our best holidays yet! We had no problems whatsoever.
We have booked large properties with Sykes for several years but rate this as the best we have stayed at which was further enhanced by the friendly owner who greeted us and saw us when we left. Our party of 7 adults were all impressed and we will certainly book again in the future
Stephen
Considering this property sleeps 12 there was insufficient refrigeration for the volume of food and drink required
A lovely property in wonderful surroundings. The owner extremely welcoming and helpful
A beautiful well equipped cottage with everything you could possibly want. The owner was on hand if needed but gave us our privacy too. Very pretty villages, gentle countryside and lots of stunning gardens to visit.
Gillian
A group of 10 lady golfers stayed just for a weekend May 2023. We found the layout of the barn great as the open plan kitchen dining area and lounge meant we could all be together whilst some were preparing the meals. We never did go into the second reception room as there was no need. The king size beds were split into 2 singles so there were enough separate beds for us all. Being organiser I had the master bedroom which was gorgeous. The hot tub just outside the kitchen was great. As we were leaving we all wished we had planned to stay longer. Kington golf club 8 miles away was great. Absolutely on top of the world with amazing views.
Timber Barn is an excellent facility for a large group and Zigi was a very helpful host both prior to arrival which helped us map people to rooms and during the stay. The hot tub was very popular and we had a couple of games of tennis as well. The concrete area in front of the property was great for children's scooters too. A great week
Viviane
Lovely house. We have been before. Zigy is a great host. Any issues big or small and she responds immediately. The location is absolutely stunning and we loved the hot tub. PS Might need a better can opener as we struggled with the one there but otherwise all good.
We had a great time at timber barn. House is lovely and the bonus metal detecting was fantastic. Very relaxed surroundings and peaceful.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful well equipped barn. There were 11 of us with ages between 86 and 11. The only criticism is that as it's a dog friendly property it would be good to have an enclosed space to let the dogs out. I appreciate this is a working farm but the area by the hot tub could be fenced off to provide a small enclosed area. We were having to take the dog out on his lead in the pitch dark. Other than that the whole place is lovely and the surrounding area is beautiful.
Pamela
Lovely place, comfy clean and warm, very well stocked kitchen. Ideal for a large family celebration. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and tennis courts. Maurice and Nicky were friendly and helpful.
Teresa
We had a lovely stay. There were ample bedrooms and bathrooms for our family 4 separate households plenty of catering equipment. Lovely and warm. Immaculate hot tub and tennis court much enjoyed by everyone. The location is lovely and rural Herefordshire great scenery. This barn conversion was originally finished to a very high standard it is showing a little sign of wear but this is not offputting in anyway. A very nice holiday let.
Beautiful cottage, lovely location and really helpful owners
Excellent place for us to stay. Friendly people and very helpful. Lovely setting.
Cheryl
Had a wonderful holiday at Timber Barn. So peaceful and beautiful views. The barn is so spacious and perfect for a group of people. The log fire and hot tub just made it extra special. The people on the farm were so helpful and kind. Would have liked bigger single beds as some adults had to sleep in them.
The holiday home was wonderful. Lovely and comfortable. Well equipped for a party of 12 with two exceptions 1, it needed more freezer space for a large party staying over Christmas. Maybe not such an issue in warmer times but with shops Morrisons closed and not so local, and the need to stock up in advance, it was lacking and some produce went off. 2, The master bedroom was splendid, but was a bit wasted in some ways and could possibly have been split into 2 rooms. Hot tub was brilliant. We still had a wonderful family Christmas together. Thanks to our host Zigi and also Nicky
Jacquie
An excellent property for a large gathering, will equipped, spacious with options for everyone. Great location in the countryside.
