We stayed as a group of 6 adults, a babyand 2 dogsand honestly, the cottage was just what we needed! The three spacious bedrooms with king-sized beds meant no one felt short-changed. This cottage is superbly located with an enclosed garden where our dogs could play freely. The cottage itself is really well appointed and so comfortable, plus it has wonderful views. Honestly, I'd say it's probably the nicest place we've stayed in!

There were interesting things to do a short drive away, but honestly, it was hard to tear ourselves away from just hanging around the lovely house and garden. We really enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and although the hot tub wasn't exactly our thing, it was fun for one night. Thanks for a great family break and the most relaxing of holidays!

This is a first class property. The furnishings and equipment are of superior quality. The views are breathtaking. The garden is enclosed so it’s really safe for children and dogs. There are lots of little extras that you often find not provided in holiday homes that were provided in this one!

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
Lama Trekking at Old king Street Farm - NP16 6AA

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available. 
Queenswood Country Park - HR6 0PY

Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside. The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Seasonal activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and at peak times of the year including Halloween events and crafting sessions as well as ranger led walks.
Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR

Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
