About Carraig Ard

Carraig Ard is a breathtaking house near the quaint village of Bridgend in County Donegal. This property has immense countryside views all around, a lower ground floor swimming pool alongside a gym and an outside hot tub, so it suits a big group looking for a fantastic getaway in Ireland.

Step into your new holiday abode to be met by a huge hallway which has natural light beaming inside and leading into the sitting room. After a brief sit-down, pick out your swimwear and move downstairs to have a dip in the majestic indoor pool.

Unless you’re up for a workout with gym equipment alongside. Once you’ve had enough of swimming, use the shower to wash off before you go back upstairs.

Use the kitchen and dining room to cook up a lovely meal once dry, gathering around those who are hungry at the dining table. After food, go outside with a little drink to take in the fabulous views whilst sitting in the wood fired hot tub.

When the stars start to twinkle, come back indoors to be serenaded by the piano or have some fun in the games room. If you start to yawn, call it a night by picking one of the king-size, double or twin rooms for a rest.

A shop and a pub are a short drive away for any essentials or a drink. Visit Inch Island for a lovely day out as a group.

Take in the ancient ruins of the Inch Castle from 1454, enjoy spotting some rare bird species at the Inch Island Wildlife Reserve or go to Inch beach to take on the waves with a bit of surfing. In Londonderry, see the historic City Walls, pop into Free Derry, which is the award-winning museum, or go for a tranquil stroll through the Ness Wood, which has picturesque streams.
