Glyn Cottage Reviews

Absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped Couldnt ask for a better cottage
Christine
The accommodation had everything that you could wish for and more. It was very well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and very spacious. The owners certainly go over and above to ensure that their guests enjoy their stay. We received a nice welcome pack of wine and chocolates which was very kind of them. The cottage is well situated for Aberaeron, New Quay and Aberystwyth. Nearby Llancheron National trust is well worth a visit with its Georgian house, farm, walled gardens and lake.
Everything you could wish for was available. This was our first visit to a rental cottage, we have already booked our next trip. Would not hesitate in recommending Gyln cottage to anyone it was 1st class home from home.
The cottage was perfect everything you could possibly need and very clean ... The cottage was perfect everything you could possibly need and very clean enclosed garden owners very helpful regarding walks and any queries you might have hot tub an added bonus Already booked for next year
Excellent location for walking the coastal path from Aberystwyth to Aberporth. The hot tub was perfect after our walks. Fabulous accommodation and perfect for our two dogs. Great enclosed garden with lots of room for them to explore. The entry into the utility room was ideal to remove our muddy boots before going into the rest of the house. Well equipped kitchen and fast WiFi. Would recommend.
The cottage was everything that it said it was . It was well equipped ,super clean and very comfortable . I would highly recommend it for a weeks holiday .
Very spacious and clean rooms. Kitchen was well equipped. Good TV and Internet connection. Garden is well fenced to allow the dog to have a run around. Owner was friendly and courteous without being intrusive. Good location with footpaths from the door ten minutes walk to the coast and also some very good forest and beach walks within one hour drive radius. Will not hesitate to rebook when next in the area.

We had a very comfortable stay at Glyn cottage. There was everything we needed for a home from home experience. Great shower and comfortable bed. The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Good pub grub at the local pub, The white swan. There are lots of places to visit in the area and a lovely walk along the coastal path. There is a local convenience store and family butchers which was very handy. All in all a great relaxing holiday.

Staying at Glyn cottage was a perfect holiday. There were just a couple of very minor maintenance issues, which did not affect us, but I raised them with the property owner for the benefit of future guests. The cottage is spacious and was extremely clean. We couldn't believe the wide range of gadgets and supplies which were available to us. It was lovely to be left chocs and wine on our arrival. Beds were very comfortable and linen was lovely, Garden was secure for our elderly lab. He loved having a wander in the garden. The hot tub was a very welcome experience in the evenings after a days exploring. Have already recommended the cottage to other people and we would return in the future. Thankyou so much.
Sophie
We used the cottage as a base for visiting family in the area and it was perfect for us, our dog and our 7 month old baby. The cottage was so clean and they had made it very baby safe. The highchair and travel cot were fantastic. The cottage was super dog friendly, with enclosed garden to the front which was perfect. Our dog loved his stay especially the welcome treats on our arrival. We also enjoyed our welcome treats. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Very relaxing week in a superb bungalow. Spotlessly clean & everything we needed was there! The log burner & hot tub were amazing! Both were used every night. Local people were very friendly. Great pub & chip shop only 4minute walk. Great coastal walks. Devil's Bridge Falls are worth a visit....but, be warned, it is a very steep climb, up steps. New Quay is a beautiful, small seaside town. Would highly recommend this property.
After 30 years of staying at various holiday cottages this would be the top of the list for the obvious effort taken by the owners to make the time spent here so welcoming and enjoyable. Cannot fault the cleanliness or the amenities provided. So dog friendly and perfect location for privacy yet close to the village facilities. Locals are very friendly and welcome dogs. Highly recommend this holiday let without hesitation. Thank you so much Steve
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, lovely cottage with all needed facilities provided. Great place to stay especially with a dog. The area is wonderful and great for country and coastal walks.
Glyn Cottage was a delight to visit. We were blown away at the facilities and the cleanliness was outstanding . It is very comfortable, and has everything you could need and more. It was a pleasure to meet the owners too, who are lovely people and live locally. I would happily recommend Glyn Cottage to anyone wanting a lovely break, and is centrally located for many trips out in the area.
Patricia
Clean and well equipped cottage. Great to have washer and dryer with everything provided. Brilliant location to explore from, with plenty to do and see. Local pub lovely with great food. Owners were very welcoming and quick to respond to any requests we made. Everyone really friendly and would not hesitate to recommend. Thankyou
Elizabeth
The directions on entering the town from Aberystwyth said the property was on the right, where in fact it was on the left which caused a few issues trying to find it as it's set back from the road. After 30mins of trying to find it we contacted the owner and then found it straight away.
Desmond
Cottage very well provided with everything required for a relaxed holiday. Directions to the property need to be more specific as cottage easy to miss we ended up going right through village and had to ring owners to guide us to the cottage. Cottage itself is very well equipped and spotlessly clean but entrance from road does not give a very good impression and could do with tidying up.
Brilliant little cottage in an ideal location. The hot tub is a bonus after visiting various places in the daytime what better way to relax in the evening.
The cottage was perfect for us in every way. Spotless and so well equipped. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Great secure garden for our dog. Well located for touring this area. Then return for a relax in the brilliant covered hot tub.We received a warm, friendly welcome from the owners. We have booked lots of cottages over the years and this is one of the best we have stayed in. We will definitely look to book again in the future.
Richard
We had a wonderful stay Glyn Cottage! Perfect location, clean, comfy, well equiped & modern cottage with everything you could need.We take our two large German Shepherd Dogs on holidays with us so a secure garden, spacious accomodation & plentiful walks nearby are essential. This cottage ticked all our boxes Great little pub dog friendly & convinience store a short walk away were an added bonus. Owners were lovely & put lots of care & attention into their cottage to meet guest requirements. So much to see & do in this area & when not out, the cottage & hot tub were great to relax in. We will be going back, one of the best we have stayed in we've had a lot during the last 4 years. Big thanks to Dave & Paula for this fab cottage!
We had an excellent stay at Glyn cottage. The owners had thought of everything from wine and chocolates for us, to treats, towel, food and drink bowls for the dogs. The cottage was spotless with plenty of space in all the rooms. The hot tub has a pergola around it for privacy which worked really well. The outside space has plenty of room too. Our two dogs felt quite at home there. Definitely recommend Glyn cottage as it makes such a difference when owners put so much effort into making their guest holiday go well. The locals were very friendly too. White Swan great for food.
A wonderful cottage with absolutely everything you could wish for to make your stay comfortable and easy. The garden was great for our dog, really secure and well maintained. The surrounding area, including the local pub, fish and chip shop and the people made the stay even more memorable. We would definitely return to sample more of the wonderful, Welsh, welcome. Thank you

What a fabulous find this was! By far the best property we have stayed in, immaculately clean and so well equipped with everything you need. The beach is a short walk along from the property as is the local shop and pub, it really was a perfect location. We found everyone we met friendly and we felt very welcomed. The dogs loved the enclosed garden and we were comfortable letting them out to wander as it is so secure. We kept them out of the back garden as there were sheep in field behind. The welcome pack of wine, chocolates and treats for the dogs was a lovely touch. All in all a perfect few days break and the weather was kind to us too. We will return.
Lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage, ideally situated for visiting all the beautiful seaside towns and villages nearby. Disappointed that we felt unable to use the hot tub as it wasn't very private, and a little intimidated by the threat of a large extra payment if anything went wrong with it not being regular hot tub users. We would be happy to return, especially if the hot tub was screened in some way.
Tracey
One of the best properties we have stayed in. Couple of comments are 1 lock to be added to bathroom door for privacy 2 heat resistant gloves be provided to stop burns when touching & adding logs onto fire e repair to guttering as leaks were making the ramp to back door very slippy. These comments did not interfere with our stay at all, it's a lovely cottage.
This has been the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. Great location on the coast road. Loved our stay.
We had an amazing stay at Glyn Cottage . The cottage itself was immaculate and the owners had thought of everything that anyone could need. It is in a central location , easy to get to Newquay and Aberystwyth. Great place for dog walking, just cross the road and a walk down a path and you are on the beach . Visited the White Swan in Llanon . Tasty meals , huge portions and great staff . Also visited the chip shop , yummy ! I would highly recommend Glyn Cottage . You wont be disappointed .
Beautiful cottage, presented so lovely. Fully enclosed garden for the dogs and the hot tub is amazing.
Glyn Cottage was all that we had hoped, well equipped, clean and very comfy. For us the enclosed garden was worth its weight in gold because our dog Roxy has had to have both eyes removed and she could wander outside to her hearts content. Loved it
Patricia
What a beautiful cottage, very well equipped & spotless. ..we loved the fire
Ashley
Amazingly presented cottage in beautiful surroundings. We couldnt have asked for more of a perfect getaway for the week. Lovely surrounding walks on the beaches and hills, wonderful community, just what we needed. Ideal property for fury friends too with the entirely enclosed front garden which they certainly enjoyed in the frosty mornings.
Blinds might be good in the bedrooms as anyone can see in when curtains are open or when you are sitting on the loo
Excuse Delay but been ill Nothing to do with holiday. ..... Holiday stay was excellent. Cottage lovely for us. Hosts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them and they even opened the garage for me to put my mobility scooter in. Village has a good pub only 1 now good General shop, so we wanted for nothing. Surrounding area lovely for walking the dog etc. Devils Bridge an interesting place to visit. All in all a lovely stay and I would use cottage again Best wishes Geoff & Sue.
Geoffrey
Loved everything about this cottage , hot tub was a bonus and the secure garden was great for my dogs , would recommend
Andrew
We are a family of four, with two young children and a dog and we had a lovely week at Glyn cottage. There is lots to do around the area, with lots of beaches and coastline to explore. We had a boat trip in New Quay, mountain biking and kite feeding at the Arian red kite centre and the silver mine experience were all a hit with the kids. The cottage is nice a spacious, very clean, and newly appointed. It has a utility room with washer and dryer which is great after a days on the beach or mountain biking. The hot tub is a great bonus, the kids loved it. The tub was immaculate, and the owners check the tub daily. There is a bbq with charcoal, firelighters, etc provided and outdoor seating. The cottage has ample parking with a very secure front garden. The wifi is all good, with a sky box and a good size smart TV. There is a log burner which is ready to go with lots of kindling and logs provided, although being a heatwave we didnt use it! The bathroom has a nice powerful shower and a dragon guarding the loo roll. Its a dog friendly cottage with dog bowls and treats provided, as mention before the front garden is very secure with good fencing. The rear garden is also fenced with double gates for access. All in all a great place to stay.
Absolutely fantastic holiday let, the cleanest I have ever stayed at. Great location for a quiet holiday. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. The owners called in daily to maintain the hot tub. The beach is a short walk, the pub even shorter walk! Locall towns are a short drive away. Would highly recommend.
Cheryl
This property was immaculate. Attention to detail was outstanding and the bonus added feature of a high spec hot tub made our holiday relaxing and enjoyable. Lovely hosts who we met on out first day, who clearly have a love for dogs. Our two young dogs were safe in a well secured garden. Highly recommended.
The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped and we were made very welcome by the hosts, who we saw on a daily basis when they came to maintain the hot tub. Although the cottage is on a busy main road, it was set back and we rarely noticed the noise from traffic. The cottage is actually on the left as you enter the village, near a bridge over a stream which was great for bird watching. The cottage is well placed for visits to the various beaches in the area. We had a lovely time paddling in the streams at the nearby National Trust property and saw spectacular red kites being fed at nearby Bwlch Nant Yr Arian forest visitor centre. The hosts were very helpful and the treats which were left for us and the dog were very much appreciated by all.
Stayed for a week with my partner in June. What a lovely cottage, exceptionally clean and spacious. Well appointed and comfortable we found it very easy to relax, helped of course by the hot tub. Within easy reach of New Quay dolphin spotting and boat trips, and Aberystwyth with its lovely railway. Great hosts as well. Very sad to leave such a lovely cottage and beautiful place. Please note Sykes location description is wrong, Cottage is on the LEFT not on the right. We met some delightful local people looking for the cottage though.
