This detached barn conversion is situated on the ownersÂ’ smallholding on the outskirts of Llanyblodwel, in Shropshire. A Grade II listed property that has been lovingly renovated to create a welcoming, character cottage, decorated and furnished in a classic country style.
The entrance hall leads through into an attractive, comfy sitting room with a full-height picture window and a woodburner set against a feature stone wall. The kitchen is well equipped and thoughtfully laid out with a lantern-style roof light and a large social dining area for guests to eat and relax in comfort.
There are five well-appointed bedrooms, including a ground floor twin offering en-suite shower facilities in a wet room, which also benefits from wide doors and grab rails and may therefore suit the less mobile. There are two first floor bedrooms with king-size beds and the master also enjoys an en-suite shower room, while two further bedrooms have the option of being made up as super king-size doubles or twins.
Enjoy dining alfresco in the private, secluded garden with a cobbled patio, which is sheltered by woodland and provides a delightful, tranquil spot to sit and relax whilst enjoying the surrounding wildlife and country air. The owners have thoughtfully provided a Scandinavian-style log cabin with an internal barbecue stove with a shower and WC attached and small kitchen area so everything you need is ready and waiting!
There is a multi-level decked area and outdoor sofas and a table for you to relax in the warm weather or there is ample room around the wood fire in the barbecue hut. There is also a wood-fired cedar barrel sauna and hot tub, allowing you to enjoy a steam and soak before tucking into a tasty barbecue.
There are many scenic hill walks from this superb cottage, through the Tanat Valley and onto the nearby Berwyn Mountains, and access can be found onto the popular Offa's Dyke footpath with ease. Enjoy day trips to the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, visit the world Heritage site of Ironbridge with its many museums and craft shops, or enjoy a trip to Lake Vyrnwy with its numerous water sports activities and circular walks, before returning to this delightful holiday cottage to plan tomorrow's activities.
