Penuwch Fach Reviews

Matthew
We had a lovely holiday here. The accommodation is fantastic. Hot tub was wonderful, the garden is beautiful. No complaints at all. The only suggestion I would have would be to put a hand rail the other side of the staircase and one on the steps down to the bathroom. Thanks for a lovely time!
We as a family of 5 a 3 yr old spent a delightful week at Penuwch Fach in JulyAugust 2024. We were attending an interment and celebration of life nearby so the location was perfect. We were met by the owner and there was a welcome winebiscuits plus tea and coffee. There is a Nespresso Gusto machine too plus a few pods . The farmhouse had generous sized bedrooms and two living spaces as well as the very well equiped kitchen diner. There was a travel cot and high chair available too bring your own bedding for the travel bed. Outside there is a BBQ and seating area and a very large hot tub which was checked daily. My grandson loved the pebbles!! To the front there is additional seating, a picnic area and a sloped lawn. I would highly recommend staying here.
A well presented holiday home. Very comfortable accommodation in a lovely location, central to exploring wonderful mid Wales.
Had a super new year's break in this lovely cottage very cosy and comfortable and well equipped even the terrible weather couldn't spoil our stay here we will be back hopefully.

We had a lovely week here. This is probably the best cottage we have stayed in. It's very well equipped and clean. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The hot tub was fantastic. I would recommend it very highly. We are looking to book again for next year.

Enjoyed our stay character property with everything and more, clean, warm and comfy beds plus hot tub view is also stunning. We visited Kite Centre, steam train from Capel Bangor to devils bridge. Aberdovey beautiful beach, Taly Glyn Lake a must and New Quay. Would recommend this property highly.
Excellent host . Fantastic cottage . Will be back

A wonderful place to stay! The house was a delight and so beautifully warm. Well definitely be back. The linen, fixtures and fittings were of very high quality. Just one tiny gripe we oldies could have done with some hand rails on the steps down into the bathrooms. A washingup bowl for the sink would have been good. Unfortunately we didnt have a chance to use the hot tub.
Thank you so much for a lovely holiday, we couldn't have wished for more, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and the hot tub was a bonus!
Clean and tidy, nice area lovely place to stay
A great place to stay. Everything you will need plus a hot tub. Highlt recommended.
This was a perfect house for our family holiday. Remote enough for us to enjoy peace and quite but close enough to places of interest to explore. The house was clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. PERFECT !

Had a wonderful stay at Penuwch Fach which is in a lovely rural and quiet location! It had beautiful valley views from the back garden and a great hot tubspa in the front which was always checked every morning and the property itself was really clean. Short drives of around 5 to 15 minutes from key locations like Aberystywth and Devils Bridge. My only small recommendation would be nice to have some clothes hooks in the bathrooms but that is only a minor improvement. Owners had great communication and always happy to help. Couldnt recommend it enough, excellent place to stay!
Stephen
Fantastic stay. We all loved the house and the hot tub was great
Perfect accommodation for a family or friends get together ! !! The beautiful enclosed garden with views and the Hot Tub in the yard, made it a special holiday experience!

A beautiful traditional farmhouse, tastefully decorated throughout. Immaculately clean and furnished to the highest quality. The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of hot water and efficient heating system. The farmhouse is located in an idyllic setting with lovely views of the hills. Completely enclosed courtyard with bbq and hot tub. The owners were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well located for trips to Aberystwyth, Borth and Aberaearon. We would definitely return.
Perfect place and I really enjoyed hot tube. highly recommended.
An absolutely stunning cottage with fabulous facilities
Deborah
The farmhouse is beautiful and quiet. We stayed in the farmhouse over Christmas and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped to cater for the 6 of us, especially on Christmas Day. It was exceptionally clean too and the host made sure that our stay was as it should checking in on us a couple times and was always a phonecall away if we needed her.
Barbara
Amazing cottage, so clean and welcoming couldnt of asked for anything else. We went as family for a long weekend away the eldest being mid 70s and the youngest 16 and we all enjoyed it as much as each other. So much to see and do in the local areas, and beautiful scenery. We definitely needed more time to explore some more. We would definitely recommend this cottage, I would like to visit in the summer and maybe the snow Highly recommended fabulous cottage. A lovely cottage fully equipped, including a hot .

Penuwch Fach is an ideal family holiday retreat. The accommodation is first class, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Fixtures and furnishings are of a very high standard. We are a family covering 3 generations and we all loved the holiday, the hot tub went down a treat either at the start or end of very busy days. The farmhouse is in a beautiful rural location and whilst remote it is very well situated for visits to Aberystwyth, Devils Bridge, Mwnt Beach, New Quay and Cardigan, to be able to visit such beautiful countryside as well as quaint seaside resorts is an added bonus. The owners are to be congratulated and thanked for keeping this property to such a high standard. We would love to come back in the future
Such a lovely cottage, beautiful views. House was very nice and clean. The beds were really comfortable. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was a huge hit lovely after a day of exploring. Many thanks to the owners for the welcome package. We loved our holiday here, couldn't fault it and would highly recommend.

My family and I stayed the week for my sons graduation. The cottage was beautiful, clean and spacious with two living rooms and four bedrooms, two of which, had a large ensuite. The hot tub and bbq were a nice extra. The views and peacefulness contributed to making this a special holiday for us all. I saw from the reviews that many had returned for a second time and after staying, I can see why.
This place is amazing so peaceful and relaxing . We didn't want to leave all the facilities for my sons 30th birthday party great thank you
Nicole
Very clean and welcoming cottage. Loved the hot tub and the location meant there was lots to do with the kids. Will be back.

The farmhouse was so lovely and clean. The owner was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The farmhouse was perfect in every way and has made our Christmas one which we will never forget. Aberystwyth was only 15 minutes drive away and you have to visit Devils Bridge, truly amazing.
Very pleased with this cottage, it was clean, comfortable, the hot tub was a lovely feature. The owner was great to deal with. Definitely would go back to this cottage. We had a great weekend
