The Dovecote Reviews

Dovecote is just a beautiful cottage in a peaceful village location. Just perfect for a relaxing holiday, pretty garden with of course the hot tub! Looks so nice with the outside lighting all around the garden. Thanks to Wayne and Julie for making it a lovely place to stay. Roger, Cindy and of course Daisy
The photographs of this property do not do it justice. It is a beautifully kept property, the cleanliness was outstanding. Both Julie and Wayne did everything they could to help us out. Thank you so much. We'd definitely visit again.
Daniel
Our Stay was just what we needed, a beautiful converted property with some original features retained, private garden had been thought out and had lovely plants and night lights. Hot Tub amazing with private area and blue tooth audio! The lovely owners were both on hand and at arms length. The local village is very quaint and locals were very friendly to us. What an amazing part of our country, we so enjoyed out week spent here.
Couldnt fault it.

The Dovecote is a real hidden gem, we loved its charm and it has clearly been carefully and lovingly crafted by the owners, Wayne and Julie, who couldn't have been more helpful! When we did manage to steal ourselves away from this gorgeous cottage and the hot tub, log burner, roll top bath, etc., etc. we enjoyed walks around the local countryside, live music at The Ludlow Brewing Co., and a fab Sunday lunch at the Ragleth Inn thanks for the tip, Wayne!. There's so much to love about this place, we will definitely be back!
Rachael
An absolutely perfect place to stay for a relaxing break. The photos do not do justice to how lovely the property is. Everything is finished beautifully. The owners dealt with any queries we had promptly. Highly recommend.
Catherine
Great experience from start to finish. Booking process and information very easy. Accommodation was beautiful, really couldnt fault it.
Such a gorgeous cottage in a lovely location! Owners were so nice & helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend this stay. No complaints at all. Unfortunately the weather was so rubbish due to a storm but we didnt find this an issue at all with it being such a lovely, cosy and homely place. Hot Tub was the cherry on top which we used in every breakintherain that we could!!! Lovely and private made better by the lovely fairy lights and decor outside! Perfect romantic getaway
We had the best time staying at the dovecote! It was perfect, the hosts were amazing, the accommodation was first class. We would highly recommend staying there and so would our dog Casey, he loved it also.

We had a lovely weekend at The Dovecote. The barn has been sympathetically converted retaining elements that hint at its former usage. The property is peaceful, cosy and elegantly decorated. Although there is an adjoining cottage The Dovecote feels very private. The hot tub was much appreciated after a long walk in the stunning Shropshire hills. The owners, Julie & Wayne were extremely welcoming and it was a joy to stay at their property.
Beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Highlights log burner and fireplace were stunning. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Hot tub was great. Negatives limited space in kitchen to store food and drinks. All the cupboards were full of utensils and cookware. Also oddments of glasses, one of a type and 3 of another. No pint glasses.
Had a lovely few days at The Dovecoat. A lovely cosy cottage which has been updated beautifilly. Fabulous bedroom with roll top bath, great wood burner downstairs which was well needed & used & the hot tub was fantastic. Our German Shepherd enjoyed the cottage too..!! Only one point the cottage is listed as having a pizza oven which it doesn't the pizza oven is next door..!! Thoroughly recomended cottage.

Romantic cottage for 2 beautifully decorated and in a peaceful location! Hot tub and bath were great features highly recommended!
What a treat utterly glorious & even lovelier than the photos suggested. Charming hosts with a wellappointed, immaculately clean and super stylish barn in a stunning rural village setting, complete with chiming church bells and village pub. So many fabulous walks right on the doorstep & a secure garden meant our Labrador enjoyed it just as much as we did. Cant wait to return!
The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was even nicer than the pictures, the hot tub was really great, it was a beautiful place. We had a fabulous holiday and would highly recommend the cottage!
Angela

Beautiful place and very romantic

Sykes advertised the property incorrectly, stating that it could accommodate up to 3 adults, as opposed to 2 adults and an infant. We therefore booked it for 2 adults and a child and found out the night before our arrival from the owner that it had been incorrectly advertised. The owner was fantastic and moved a sofa bed in to the property for our son to sleep on. It was just lucky that the other property didn't need the sofa bed for the duration of our stay. Nobody has bothered to contact us from Sykes to apologise for the mistake and I will definitely not be recommending or using your company as a result of this experience. The cottage itself was lovely and very well maintained. The owners were wonderful. They were very responsive and gave some great suggestions for activities in the local area.
Lovely, friendly hosts. Thoroughly would recommend anyone to stay here.

The cottage we hired was incredible, perfect for a romantic minibreak away! We loved all of the extra details that had been put in the cottage it really made the holiday. Our hosts were great and were on hand for anything we needed. We can't wait to come back!
Georgina
The hosts were most accomodating as they couldn't do enough to make our stay most pleasent and enjoyable. Would highly recommend this property to anyone in the future.
