We really enjoyed our time here. The lodge is stunning both inside and outsideand it’s got everything you could want. The outdoor area with the hot tub was a highlight, especially since we could bring our dog along. The location is spot on - great for walks and close enough to a lovely village and town. Simon was a fantastic host, super helpful at every stage. Honestly, wish we’d stayed longer - we’ll be back!

We had a lovely weekend at the Escape pod with our dog! The pod was absolutely beautiful, spotlessand so cosy, plus it had everything we could possibly need. We would definitely come back. The host was really helpful and friendly, which made the stay even better. The location is wonderful and so peaceful, plus you can join the Hadrians Wall walk just outside! We even made friends with some horses in the neighbouring field. 5 stars - well deserved.
Clara
Lovely little pods! There’s plenty of space for everything, plus a great selection of utensils and cooking options. The space was really clean and situated in a lovely setting. The owners were friendly and introduced themselves with some info about the local area. The cabins are actually on top of Hadrian's Wall, which we didn’t realise but a good history nerd might appreciate! The hot tub was sizable and worked well, but I’ll mention here that it’s 100 extra for the hot tub, payable on the day - we read reviews, not descriptions, oops!
Clara
This luxury pod is simply the best with such an amazing view and easy access to walk the dogs. Having our own private hot tub was just mint! We highly recommend staying there!

Attractions Near Hadrians Wall Escape

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained at Hadrians Wall Escape itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Cumbria has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 7 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 18 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 26 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 29 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
