We had the most amazing stay at Sharp Edge. There were so many lovely little details (including delicious bakes!), everything was thought of, and was executed perfectly. Ive never stayed anywhere where I genuinely cant think of one fault, but everything really was perfect. Thank you for the best stay.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time here. We came for my birthday celebration, 2 nights and 3 days. And weve loved our time here. We will be coming back and definitely recommend it to our friends and family. The area is nice, not too far away from the threlkeld to Keswick railway walk which was very good that we did one morning. And good drivingRead more distance from the major Lake District places, such as we visited pooley bridge, Keswick, Windermere, bowness, and Kendal. Thank you to the owners for all they have done. This place 100% made our vacation. Very quiet, and just a quick drive to Threlkeld or Keswick. Great base for exploring the area. Unit was clean, quiet, had all the required items for making food. The hot tub just made everything better after a day of hiking and adventuring!

We stayed one night it was lovely both happy with everything, definitely recommend this stay, customer service was great for questions very quick and easy to get in touch.

We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. You have to drive to get to pubs etc as it would be a long walk and the road is pitch black at night. But apart from that we can't complain we had a lovely stay . Thank you

What can we say, was so chuffed with our stay at Sharp Edge. Was so so cosy in the Autumn weather, and the pod had everything we needed, and then some! Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 7 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 8 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 11 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 22 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 29 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
