We loved the setting for this cottage, although sometimes it felt a little remote. It was well equipped and there was plenty to do in the locality.

We had a wonderful week at Farthing Cottage!SELECTED!. Lovely!ENDOFSELECTED!, characterful house. Very clean with everything you could need. We used the hot tub just about every night - just allow a couple of hours for it to warm up. Great walks right from the front door and plenty of pubs/cafes etc in Bellingham. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic location if you like walking and the peace and quiet. Bellingham fairly close for the essentials. Cottage a bit tired and some kitchen facilities a bit limited. Just go for the peace and quiet!

Elaine
Lovely, quirky cottage. Good location. A hotel 2 miles away has a swimming pool & sauna that you can use. Beds really comfortable, so much so I bought the same duvet when I got home.

This is a quant cottage in a good location but would benefit from a bit of a refresh. Plenty of places to visit especially Kielder Forrest and Wallington National Trust and further afield Bamburgh Castle. Good local shopping in Bellingham.
Alison
Lovely little cottage in an ideal serene and tranquil setting. It has lots of desirable features which also makes it a special place. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

A lovely cottage, in a wonderful part of Northumberland
Kim
Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Very dog friendly.

Lovely, well-equipped, cosy and warm cottage. Because of the setting (ie, surrounded by farming land), it was prone to some tricky walking conditions, but with the weather on your side, there's plenty of decent walks from the doorstep. The only down-side for us was lack of hot water from the tap, which was tricky to obtain due to having to keep theRead more water pressure at such a low flow. Hide

Quirky, cosy, semi-detached cottage not too far from shops but peaceful enough to relax. The cottage was a little tired & run down in some decor and equipment but we appreciated the rustic nature. Kitchen well equipped for self catering. Hot tub took a couple of bags of logs to get really warm and required constant upkeep of fire to maintain temp. I. Would. Live. Here. Absolute gem of a cottage! If you are looking for a rural escape then this is for you. Just a very cozy and relaxed vibe. Probably not the place for young families but perfect for older ones or ones with a dog. A couple of miles from Bellingham which has a small co-op, a few shops and pubs. Otterburn is a little further but ha s a big pub. A long way from a big supermarket but Sainsburys deliver to here!!
