An amazing weekend in a beautiful location in a beautiful home, we have created memories as a family to last a lifetime, our weekend completely exceeded our expectations and we loved every second. Thankyou
Had an amazing weekend away at brantlea for my wifes 50th, couldnt have asked for more, the welcome basket wad unexpected but such a nice touch, the house is beautiful and nothing hasn't been thought of, stair gates and fencing helping keep two dogs contained, steep garden that leads to the hot tub, there is even a fridge and plastic glasses up there. The views from the top of the garden are breathtaking. Would highly recommend brantlea and would love to visit again in the future.

Fabulous place to stay, just what the doctor ordered Loved the view from the hot tub Credit to the owners beautifully furnished and very peaceful Only suggestion I would make is to write on the website that hot tub towels, flip flops and robes should be taken, this would enhance your visit 1010 excellent

Had a fantastic stay at the beautiful Brantlea. Facilities were amazing. An excellent welcome pack with a lovely bottle of fizz. Would highly recommend the house, very spacious and immaculately clean, could not fault it in any way. Simon was a great host.

Beautiful house and the sun shone all week. What more could we ask for?
Weve just returned from a most enjoyable stay at Simons home. Everything was as described and we were extremely comfortable. We didnt have to use the car as it was only a 5 minute walk down into the town of BownessonWindermere where we found lots of dog friendly bars and restaurants. We were delighted to find a hamper of local produce on arrival with a little treat for our dogs too. We would definitely stay again at this fantastic setting.

Beautiful home away from our own home. Tastefully designed and decorated. Awesome view. Neat, clean, very well maintained. Couldnt have been better. So thoughtful of you to place a welcome pack. Wish we could spend some more time. Hope to come again for a little longer.
Our review reflects what everyone else has said about Brantlea. Location was great with fantastic views from the hot tub. Very spacious accommodation which was very clean and well prepared with a great welcome pack. Simon was friendly and sorted out an issue with the hot tub very quickly. We were a group of 6 adults one child and a dog and we all really enjoyed staying here.
We absolutely loved our stay here! Firstly, the house is in the most amazing location being extremely walkable to the lake, shops, cafes and restaurants! There are also many beautiful walks in the surrounding areas of the house which Simon kindly let us know about on arrival! The house boasts the most stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills, which we enjoyed for many evenings whilst sat in the hot tub the view is even better from up there!!. The house is so lovely just as described and Id say even better than the photos! Has everything that you would ever need, super clean and really comfortable beds!! Simon was a lovely host really accommodating! A few of our group were arriving early and he was kind enough to offer an earlier check in which was really helpful! Overall this was a 1010 and we would love to go back, as well as fully recommend to anyone thinking of visiting!!
Stayed with kids fantastic stay. The house is very large with a great layout for a couple of families. We enjoyed the hot tub, views and the 10 minute walk through town to the lake. It is a peaceful spot with activities just down the road. Simon was communicative and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!
Coming back soon! ! Perfect place and hosts!! Very well equipped! Everything had been thought of and arranged before our stay! Lovely care package was there for us as well!!
Lauren
Our stay at this property was fabulous, we could not have asked for anything more! Great walking distance into Bowness where there were various restaurants and activities to keep all ages entertained. Would highly recommend for a family getaway!
The Krantz / Derby / Jones Family
We loved your house, wonderfully kitted out for the dogs as well. Plenty of space and superb location!
The house didnt disappoint and in some respects was even better than the pictures show especially the location. In a very quiet and select private close only added to the enjoyment. House was spotlessly clean and well presented. Ample room for our party of 6 to both spend time together or chill when prefer with the garden room a firm favourite. The birds eye view of fast jets navigating up the lake and beyond was a real bonus! Only real ask would be if the hot tub could be raised slightly allowing better views of the lake whilst sitting in it but icing on the cake of course! Only gripe relates to Sykes and the astronomical price increases year on year!
Sweeting & Craig Family
Thank you enormously for hosting a 50th Wedding Anniversary with three generations in tow. What a magnificent setting and base to explore, to ear, to stomp over a few hills, to lie in the hot tub getting cooled by the drizzle bubbles in hand just perfect. The view from the window was really pretty but my favourite part of the house was the hot tub!
Hunters
Wonderful holiday home with super views especially from the hot tub! Welcome pack was outstanding well miss the views & the peace!

What a fabulous birthday weekend. Loved staying in Brantlea due to its location, facilities and general feel. Simon was great, with information about places to walk, eat, swim etc. The house suited both generations of the family, something for everyone! Thank you for the hamper and the fizz, started the celebrations off beautifully!

Beautiful house, everything was thought of & we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Perfect location & stunning views we have been thoroughly spoilt! Simon was a great host despite us locking ourselves out of the house. On hand with great advice on local walks & eateries. We were a party of 7 plus a dog & we were all catered for perfectly. The welcome pack was a lovely touch we struck lucky with this house. Thank you for everything! From the Isle of Man clan!

Simon was a great host answering all queries quickly. House is lovely and welcome pack a really nice touch. Location is ideal, close enough to walk but far enough to take in the peace and quiet. Loved the open plan and outside space as great for game playing and socialising. Would recommend the walk to Castle Wray from Hawkshead, visiting Cathedral Cave and kayaking on the lake. Thanks so much.

We had an amazing stay, house was in a great location, just 5 mins walk from the village. It has everything you need, clutter free, spotlessly clean and plenty of space for the 8 of us. Hot tub was lovely with great views. Host was helpful & very friendly and was close by if you needed anything. Would definitely book again.
Wow wow wow Brantlea is the most beautiful stunning home it is immaculate and every detail has been thought through with care. The open plan living area is so good to allow everyone to feel they are together but not on top of one another. The kitchen is huge and has everything you would need. OvenGrill immaculate and fridge freezer huge great for stocking up. Lounge has fab corner settee and 2 individual recliners chairs Bedrooms are all amazing 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the upper living level bathrooms huge, warm underfloor heating and towels lovely. Utility room handy and well equipped. The views from the hot tub are fabulous towards the lake and the summer house next to the hot tub a great bonus. Garden although steep very well kept and dog safe. Simon has been a wonderful host, offered lots of advice of restaurants etc and responds so quickly. The only downside to Brantlea is having to leave it we will definitely return its worth every penny. Thank you Simon

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 6 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 12 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 13 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 16 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 19 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 25 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
