A really cozy and beautiful cottage with a hot pot for free use in a great landscape!
Marc
We loved staying in the Ellon Cottage. It's a very cosy comfortable place, equiped with all amenities with a lot of privacy and a very nice view. The hot tub is a big bonus. We would love to come back.
Shona
The view from the cottage is brilliant, full view of Cairngorm as well as the valley below. The ceilings are low upstairs, prepare for bent backs but beds are comfy. Overall the cottage is comfy but does need an update, bathroom especially.
Stephanie
Fantastic location! The cottage comes fully equipped and is very comfortable. We made beautifull walks from the cottage on the estate. It was all that we had hoped it would be like.
Adele
We absolutely loved our stay at Ellon cottage, the location is fantastic and the local wildlife is stunning. 10/10 we will be staying here again!
Denise
A lovely cottage in a great location. The cottage was very well equipped, clean and comfortable with lovely views and peaceful surroundings. We saw woodcock roding every night over the cottage and plenty of roe deer, siskin, Greenfinch, Buzzard and hare. Overall, these are just little issues and we had a beautiful time spending many evenings in the hot tub listening to all of the wildlife. This is unforgettable and we cannot wait to book again, the location is amazing!

Fantastic location with stunning views. Loved the decor and antiques gave the property real character. The hot tub was ideal after a long walk with views looking out over the mountains. The boot room was also really useful. Superb walks straight out of the door. Loved Nethy Bridge too..
Louise
Nice comfortable cottage with lovely views. A nice base to explore the surrounding areas.
Michael
Just perfect for a walking break. Really cosy and welcoming after a day in the hills. Highly recommended.

We had a great time at this cosy cottage - even with the weather wet and cold at times. The option to warm up both ends of the cottage with wood burners in the kitchen and the living room is a great feature - we expect to be back. Wonderful house, really well looked after with everything inside and out that a family could need or want. The wood and welcome pack were lovely and helpful touches. Loved the hot tub, which was so special on a cold, clear night watching the stars. Beautiful location, and lots of walks to do and places to visit nearby. We truly loved our stay!
Amy
Absolutely perfect! We arrived on a freezing cold afternoon and the cottage was cozy and warm straight away without a burner being lit. Ellon cottage is in the most spectacular location you could ask for. We spent two weeks there in winter staring in awe at the spectacular mountain range from the warmth of the woodburning hot tub! The cottage was absolutely perfect, little touches like the cafetiere and cookies to the sledges for the kids. It was one of the best holidays we've ever had and will definitely be rebooting. Thank you x
Laurence
Amazing views, lovely hot-tub (but allow an afternoon to heat it up!) very clean with a great kitchen, cosy lounge and underfloor heating in the bathroom. As some have said the roof is low upstairs but as long as you're happy to bend over when getting into bed you'll be okay!
Arno
Very charming cottage, away from everyday life. Highly recommended!
Adam
Outstanding, quality accommodation in a stunning location. The secluded cottage is so peaceful the only sound you can hear are the bees busy at work in the honeysuckle. Every day we could see a red deer in the fields next to the cottage and buzzards flying above the valley. The hot tub is lovely and great for star gazing late at night. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of towels are provided. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a great shower and deep bath. We'll return!
Angela
Great location, only 10 mins from Nethy Bridge. Stunning view of the Cairngorm mountains from the cottage. We saw Roe deer and brown hares in the garden. Well equipped kitchen and comfy lounge. Do be aware of the ceiling height in the bedrooms upstairs, but other than that a really lovely place to stay.
Karen
Lovely quiet location, good uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. Good walks in the area. Nice touch having a some welcome "bits" left.
Eamon
Very nice, quiet location with loads of birds and wild life literally outside you door.
Samantha
Absolutely stunning property. Spotless, cosy and the views are breathtaking. Loved relaxing in the hot tub.
Tania
A FANTASTIC location. We stayed here for a bird watching break in March 2023. White tailed Eagles, Black Grouse, Ravens, Redpolls and Goshawks all seen from the patio. The low ceilings upstairs took some getting used to but were more than made up for by the location. Well equipped, clean and comfortable - warm too! Owners were non prescriptive and left us alone to our own devises. A perfect break.
Cat
A wonderful little cottage that was our base whilst on honeymoon in the Cairngorms. Warm, cosy, comfortable, quirky and well-equipped. The wood-fired hot tub was an added gem and we loved stargazing from it on the clearer nights. Easy to get to the places we wanted to visit from here, and it welcomed us back each evening with peace and quiet. Reall y good WiFi considering the remote location which was a bonus (you could easily work from here with it). Thanks for a great stay.
Paul
More information about the history of the cottage and Dorback estate would be amazing. Such a beautiful location but felt a little unsure of where to walk as no information as to where was public walks. Stunning picturesque location though. Definitely would return.
Ceri
We had an incredible time at Ellon Cottage. The place was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. Beautiful views and wildlife everywhere. We would definitely recommend this cottage for a relaxing, cosy retreat on the doorstep of the amazing Cairngorm mountains where the is loads to do and see.
Elaine
A lovely and very comfortable cottage in a great location. We definitely want to come back again.
Mark
We had a really lovely stay in Ellon cottage. The cottage sits in stunning countryside with views to the Cairngorms, but only a few minutes drive from Nethy Bridge. Ellon is in a very quiet location with good walks from the doorstep, has plenty of character and is nicely furnished and decorated. Wildlife highlight for us was one of the local White- Tailed Eagles soaring directly over the cottage and a more distant pair of Golden Eagles over the hills ! Would definitely return in future,
Esme
We had an amazing stay at Ellon Cottage. The property was clean and cosy; beds were comfy and the shower was great. But the views were the real highlight - absolutely stunning scenery - and lots of sightings of deer, buzzards, kestrels and curlew, plus plenty of pheasants and the odd grouse and hare, made it really special. Our nature-loving boys ( 3 & 5) were in their element. Close to loads of nature reserves and fun visitor attractions the location was perfect, we can't wait to return!
Sameen
Cannot recommend this place enough 10/10 Beautiful cottage - extremely well equipped and warm. Living room is cozy with a wood burner, kitchen is really spacious and also has a wood burner. Upstairs the rooms are snug, beds and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom and entrance area have underfloor heating! The cottage is surrounded by stunning scener y on a really peaceful estate but not far from walks/shops The owners were helpful and available if anything needed Really enjoyed the stay

Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.
