2 Water's Edge Reviews

Kirsten
The location is great for accessing many Cornwall attractions and the holiday park itself is very thoughtfully designed with ecology and peace prioritised. Staff at the resort were also so friendly. My only negative comment would be the furniture on the decking was a bit tired so could use replacing but everything else was spectacular and it felt like a home from home with everything catered for.
Property good amenities but the place needs a refresh. Some mold in bathrooms, lifting floors due to water leak,

We had a lovely 10days as a family of 4 and a dog. The waters edge gave us beautiful views over the lake and the hot tub was a relaxing treat at the end of the day. The property had everything we needed and was very clean. Only issue was the broken off slats on the blind in the ensuite bathroom which we managed to cover for privacy so not a major problem. Nicely decorated throughout and the beds were very comfy. The road in was not for the faint hearted and the corners on such a narrow road could cause incidents if drivers dont take extreme caution and also us the small junction correctly which some didnt. The site was very well maintained and beautiful to walk around. The restaurant and bar served very good food and staff were very welcoming. Supermarket was 20 min away and we spent most days driving out to explore the stunning coastline and beautiful towns. This was are first experience of a Cornwall holidays and Over all it was well worth it.
We really enjoyed our stay. Nothing else to say.
We had the best stay we could have imagined, the chalet was unreal! It had everything we could have wished for and no expense was spared with the cleanliness and what the chalet offered! We literally had everything we needed in there. The log burner was really nice! The hot tub was very clean and maintained also! The site is really nice with a nice pubrestaurant on site, and it is extremely nice to walk around. We Honeslty couldnt have asked for anything better for the price and we are already looking at rebooking! Thank you!
Edward
We have stayed in 2 Waters Edge a number of times and love the location
Beautiful lodge in amazing setting. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived very late at night and saw our lodge was lit up for our arrival. We cant wait to rebook later this year. Our cocker spaniel loved looking out at the ducks on the lake after a lovely walk. Sally, Martha and the team were always on hand to assist with any query. We also wanted to thank Amanda in the old mill for here very kind hospitality.
Oliver
Beautiful place to stay will most certainly be back again! Both myself, my partner and our dogs didnt want to leave! If I was being extremely picky, the bin could do with replacing and the mattress was a little springy however this was very insignificant compared to what a lovely stay we had here, have already recommended to many friends!!
Cheryl
We absolutely love this place and its the second time we have stayed. Its so clean and peaceful here. The Old Mill Restaurant is fantastic. The staff are wonderful and make you feel so welcome. The food is the best. Thank you for making our stay amazing. Cant wait to return, Cheryl, Steve and Max the dog x
No2 Water's Edge was excellent. Very spacious and had everything needed for our break. Being autumn there were loads of leaves around but the hot tub was still spotlessly clean. Only one thing to note was the very squeaky double bed. Apart from that, it's a fantastic place.
This was a lovely property , well equipped, and very clean and tidy. The view from the balcony was exceptional and the visiting shoal of carp provided us entertainment each morning. We even managed a dip in the hot tub ,in the rain !. All in all a lovely short break made complete by the fine accommodation, spotless grounds and very helpful staff. We hope to return soon.

Everything was absolutely perfect for us. You cant expect absolute immaculate cleanliness when you are allowing people to have pets but it was still lovely and clean for us and our dog. There were far more facilities for us to use in our cottage than we could use i.e dishwasher and washing machine etc. We were very very comfortable and happy with our stay and will be definitely returning. Thank you.
Overall excellent weekend we had here. Very clean and tidy. Lovely hot tub on the lake edge was perfect. The only thing Iv marked down was the cleanliness some of the kitchen plates, sauce pans and cutlery were not clean and still had dried old food on them, Looked like the dishwasher didnt get it completely clean and the last people in most likely put them away dirty really wasnt expect to have to wash things before we could use them but besides that loved our weekend here and not a reflection on the lodge
Edward
The fridge door bottle holders were missing The wire on the deck was broken ... The fridge door bottle holders were missing The wire on the deck was broken and the lowest strand was flapping Sally from reception was amazing pre holiday call to make sure we knew the details and a follow up call to check we had enjoyed our stay
Everything was exactly as advertised, we had a lovely time at stonerush lakes, a real wild life haven too, if that is what you are looking for, then this is the place to be. The facilities are warm and very comfortable, the sunken hot tubs are a lovely addition to the lodges too, the onsite Bar and restaurant are absolutely fabulous, and would strongly recommend a visit.

We have just come back after spending a week at Stonerush lodges. We had a fantastic week. Location is perfect. So many places to visit and not too far away. The lodge was perfect, had everything we needed, beds very comfortable. Views on the decking were gorgeous. Lodge was lovely decorated. If I had to be really picky, I would of liked abit more outdoor lighting just for night time and letting the dog out but it has been perfect and we are already pricing up for a return next summer.
Could have done with a broomdustpan and brush. Outdoor furniture needs updating. Beds were comfortable and both showers were amazing! Had everything you needed and was very peaceful, we had a great week and would definitely return and recommend.
Annette
Beautiful setting, clean well equipped and the hot tub was maintained daily as promised. Restaurant and bar on site, friendly staff and food was good. You would need a car for this holiday and expect to drive everyday as nothing in walking distance. However walks around the lakes were stunning and the whole area was beautifully maintained
Bernadette
This property was clean and cozy! The lodge had everthying you would need for cooking.... absolutely loved the view of the lake from our window and decking the was the fish were amazing! The whole park is very well kept and very clean! The workers are friendly and happy to help!
Malcolm
We had a lovely relaxing week and will return.

Base of shower door was grubby. Paintwork very grubbyold. Considering price paid for 3 nights I felt poor in relation to a tatty small box with teabag coffee, mixed in with dishwasher tablets, very strange! Shower gel available in main bathroom but not in ensuite..why? No washing up liquid, hand soap or basics to tide one over. Simple things too like a clock in lounge that doesnt work, log burner with wood but no fire lighters. I own a holiday let in Bournemouth and have a basket with teacoffeechocolatebiscuitsbottled water etc for guests arrival esp handy if arriving late at night. Supply 5 dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets. I felt you are basing your price purely on location and hot tub, but the general standard of the mobile home I would say is not up to scratch by any means. I was writing to you this afternoon to inform you of all this but I have your form now! This is before holiday season gets going so not a good start. Kitchen drawer handle not fixed properly. Another point, you advertise the restaurant on site as being open for outside dining and takeaway. Having a stressful job I was looking forward to not driving for a few days. On arrival I was told the restaurant was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, we arrived Monday pm and were leaving Thursday So no good at all! This meant we had to go out in the car each day for meals we didnt intend to have this costing us a lot more money which was mis representation of the facilities at the property. This needs to be re checked and brought upto a really good standard if you want people to visit in the future.
Relaxing holiday would recommend this location each time we are going to book again in the near future.
What a perfect hidden paradise! Such a beautiful setting and the perfect relaxing get away. Certain aspects of the lodge are starting to look a little tired and the dish washer was pretty useless. Other than that, a very comfortable and relaxing week.
Absolutely lovely and peaceful setting. Extremely relaxing. Would definitely visit again. If you want to get away from the hustle this is the place to visit.
Exactly how it was described great location. Good place to go and switch off for a while
An excellent lodge for a relaxing break, would certainly stay again On site facilities good, very helpful & friendly staff at the Old Mill, and excellent restaurant Lodge would benefit from an update of decking furniture, nothing major, just some new seat cushions which could be stored inside for visitors use. It looks like they are left outside in all weathers so are not in great condition Although lodge was very clean, some of the kitchen items needed a rewash before use. Often an issue with self catering properties, where everything tucked away in cupboards cannot be checked thouroughly on every changeover. Appreciate that not every visitor will be cooking meals so some pans etc are not used regularly.
I think it is important to point out that there is actually no available internet connection and very poorno signal on mobile devices unless you are stood in or at The Old Mill reception. The lodge was relatively clean but could have done with a spruce up. If you love budget IKEA, then you will love all the fixtures and fittings. The cushions on outside chairs had been left out and were actually green and mouldy. The decking and balustrade in a poor state of repair. Most functions worked on the hot tub although one didnt and if you adjusted several of the jets you would find they came off in your hand. Although this did give you something to do while relaxing trying to get them to stay back in. We did venture to the Reception. Was met by a very blunt and quite frankly rude lady, who seemed to work all week. If I pay for a bottle of beer, once she could be bothered to tell me what they sell I dont expect for what was left in the bottle to be thrown because it didnt fit in the glass! On another occasion ordering an Americano coffee I was greeted by whats that.......and why do people call drinks what they like....just ask for what it is. They have a proper coffee machine, I would expect them to know, as this is a very standard name for a black coffee. My partner an I never felt welcome at all, but she may like you as seemed to depend on who you were. The locations and layout are really nice of the lodges, not overlooked and very private.
Caroline
A great location, lodge well equipped. No wifi or telephone signal in lodge however available in Old Mill.
Rebecca
Really lovely lodge. Clean and well equipped. Lots of nice touches nice set of mini toiletries in each bathroom, dressing gowns, welcome package. All mod cons and luxury feel added to with the lovely hot tub. Which we made good use of. Outdoor furniture could do with an update or fresh cushions that aren't left outside. Great for peaceful retreat. Comfortable and spacious. We did't eat at the restaurant but food looked lovely and staff very friendly. Nice to chill for a bit in the evening, play pool and grab some wifi time. In the day people tend to hover outside or go into the restaurantbar to pick up the signal when needed. There's no wifi in the lodge which the details do say. What the details didn't make clear is there is zero phone signal in the lodge. Can feel a bit isolating. Don't trust sat nav! It is well signposted from the main road B3359 heading towards Pelynt we just used the spar shop in Pelynt as our satnav point to get on the right road while we got our bearings and it's less than a 5 min drive from there. Look for the wind turbine and you'll see the signs with the turning for Stonerush Lakes. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you
Catherine
Lovely site and surroundings. Lodge was comfortable and clean. Restaurant food excellent friendly helpful staff.
Catherine
The lodge was clean and beautifully placed right on the lake, very peaceful which is what we wanted. The hot tub guys coming every day anywhere between 9 4.30 were a pain and sometimes awkward. The veranda area was secure for a dog, but having a small dog the gaps between the wire fencing were too wide for us. The veranda furniture was very old and needs updating. At times there was a drainage smell outside the lodge.
