Lonsdale was built in 1934 and previously formed part of the main house at Lonsdale Farm, in Falmouth, Cornwall. This five-bedroom period townhouse has Art Deco and Edwardian original features.
Lonsdale sits just back from Dracaena Avenue, which is the main road in and out of Falmouth, perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding areas by car, but also with the town and beaches within walking distance. After parking up on the driveway, ascend the steps to enter the property featuring an elegant and spacious open-plan living and dining area on the ground floor.
The separate, well-appointed kitchen has a range cooker and is equipped with all the essentials to prepare delicious meals for the group. The bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floor where guests can choose between a 4’6 double with en-suite shower room, a super-king, or a bunk room on the first floor, or a 4’ double and a zip & link twin or king bedroom with en-suite shower room on the second floor, with a family bathroom on the first floor completing the accommodation.
The outside space can be accessed through the dining room where there are areas of decking, artificial turf and patio with a six-seater hot tub and plenty of seating for alfresco dining. Falmouth hosts many events throughout the year, with food vendors, stalls and live music, such as Food Festivals, The International Sea Shanty Festival, The Oyster Festival, Falmouth Week, Falmouth Beer Festival, Falmouth Fish Festival, Tall Ships, and many more.
The Cornish Bank venue in town hosts a wide variety of live music most nights in the season. The bustling town of Falmouth is blessed with a good choice of bars, cafés, restaurants and shops, and there are a number of beautiful local beaches nearby: Gyllyngvase, Castle, and Swanpool are the three closest beaches, with Maenporth just a little further away.
