Chi An Mor Reviews

Chelsea
Absolutely gorgeous cottage with an amazing view of the beach and sea! It was a pleasure staying there! The log fire in the living room was amazing! And the hot tub was really good too! Thank you for the amazing holiday! Was really weird coming back to Liverpool after having that view to look at each day! Will definitely come back!!
We had a lovely stay, its close to everything, clean and well equipped.
The house was as pictured. However it could have done with a deeper clean as there were multiple cobwebs on corners of all the rooms. I was also disappointed to have to put away the dishes from the previous stay. The kettle and toaster could do with a bit of an upgrade as the toaster on the highest setting took about 2 goes to get even mildly toasted toast.
Anthony
A perfect 'home from home Very clean and comfortable spacious garden for dogs the games room and hot tub are a bonus. Very near to Porth Beach. Best to travel by car though if you can't manage the hill back to the bungalow. Very well equipped, especially in the kitchen..... microwave, dishwasher, washerdryer, freezer etc.... Plenty of board games to play as well as TV with many channels. You will not be disappointed....
Rebecca
Wonderful bungalow in a perfect location, everything you need for a great holiday. Owners went above and beyond as it was my special birthday, my friend had sent a banner and it was on the wall when we got there, the housekeeper organised flowers from hubby and prosecco from the owners. The sunsets are amazing from the living room, beds comfortable, lots of games if weather not good, games room and hot tub had limited use because we had fabulous weather but we found hot tub hot enough after a couple of hours. Within 5 miles lots of great beaches, country pubs and walks, we have already booked again for next year!
Nicola
We had a lovely week at Chi An Mor. The property was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The kitchen was really well equipped. The children loved the games room too. Location was great, we could walk to the beach and get to all other surroundings beaches easily. Wed love to return at some point!
Lovely property plenty of space. Little sweet extras from the owners on arrival. Kitchen well kitted out. Local shops. It to far but need the car. Mermaid pub has lovely home cooked food. PERFECT LOCATION stroll downhill to beach. Only little gripe is the more wood or notice where to get it We drove round for while trying to find some. The hot tub takes 5 hours to get up to temp but it was at least still warm next morning Would love to visit again
Lovely property with a great owner. Much better view of the sea than I thought. Easy walking distance of the beach.
Andrew
We had such a wonderful time. Views, walks, location 1010. Accommodation 1010 Welcome pack for us & our dogs 1010 I really wish the hoover worked or at least a dustpan & brush to sweep my dogs hairs. I wanted to make sure the place was kept clean but it was so difficult without the tools to do it. Apart from that we totally loved our holiday and will rebook. I will bring my own vacuum though.
Lovely stay, really enjoyed the bungalow and how close it was to the beach
The accommodation was fantastic, everything that we needed was available. The secure garden was excellent for our dogs to run around without a worry. The washerdryer was great for get the towels dry every day. The Mermaid pub on Porth beach is only a 5 minute walk but a little longer to get back as which ever way you walk back you will have to walk up a steep hill. We had a great time walking the dogs and Chi an Mor made the holiday even better. We have already booked again for next year.
Absolutely amazing! My favourite ever Cornwall holiday rental! The views from lounge and hot tub are incredible. Loved the facilities including log burner, board games, lovely welcome pack, games room and well equipped kitchen etc! House was beautifully decorated with original art by owner and was very comfortable including the beds. Location was perfect with five minutes to porth beach which is gorgeous plus a lovely tea room and pub nearby! The garden was great and my kids enjoyed the hammock and space! Overall 1010 all round!
The house is amazing. Everything that is shown and described online and more! The welcome pack was such a nice gesture. Fresh bread, milk, jam, clotted cream and scones aswell as the wood etc. Fresh white fluffy towels provided and all of the bed linen was fresh, clean, white and comfortable. Plenty cleaning equipment and a clothes maiden aswell as an iron and board. The bar and beach are so close. It has quite a steep hill which may prove difficult for some but we managed just fine and had our beach trolly with us too. We visited new beaches every day all of which were only a short drive and Newquay town centre isnt far to drive and has plenty parking. Its well equipped with everything you could need and had sugar, sweeteners, salt, pepper etc already there. The decor is beautiful with some amazing pieces of artwork by the property owner on display. I dont have pets myself and even though the property allows pets there was no sign of them at all. It was absolutely spotless and did not smell of pets at all. I read the reviews about the hot tub and really dont understand the issue. We had it lit every night with no problems at all. The views whilst sat in it are fantastic.
Sophie
We had the best stay in Chi An Mor! It had everything we needed and the views are amazing. Wed highly recommend this property and would love to stay again when its available.
Nicola
Chi An Mor is a beautiful bungalow with great views over Porth Beach . We had a great week , The hot tub is useless , we tried to light it twice but gave up in the end which was disappointing as I booked this rental because it had a hot tub . Garden is nice and spacious for dogs to run around although it is overlooked from neighbours at the back and we did feel a little on show . Garden chair covers could do with a wash . Didnt use the BBQ as no table in the garden to eat at . The Bungalow could do with blinds up in the kitchen and the garden room as when you are sat on sofa people can see straight in to the sitting room . Chi An Mor would benefit from more seats in the sitting room as there is a huge space unused . We thought that it could have been cleaner too ! Cobwebs in the bathroom , sofa not vacuumed dogs hairs all under cushions dust underneath sofa . Back Door needs a good wash and so do all the window frames and Patio Door frames . The welcome pack for our dogs was much appreciated toys and treats The human welcome pack of scones , Jam & Cream and a loaf of bread was a lovely thought ,a pint of milk would have made it just perfect . We didnt use the oven only the hob which was great . Plenty of utensils but could do with extra cups plates and cutlery as we were forever washing them up . There is a washing line in the garden but only 3 pegs . A hose pipe which was great for cleaning our doggies . Shower was great and lovely soft towels . The few things Ive mentioned did not spoil our holiday .. we had a great time . Thank you Chi An Mor for the memories .
The bungalow was lovely and bright, beds were comfortable and clean, close to the beach and only 25 mins walk into Newquay which was a bonus, shame about the hot tub lots of baby sitting, cant really go out because you have to keep adding wood but over all 1010 every thing else.
What an amazing house to stay in! ! The house layout was perfect, all the facilities were 100. Small things were provided too which helped massively from bin bags, to washing tablets, dishwasher tablets, cooking oil and salt & pepper. The view of porth beach from the living room window and hot tub was amazing, especially at sunset. If I had to pick at anything it would be that maybe more fire wood should be provided for the hottub as you only get enough for 1 use but we were able to buy more 8.50 a bag at logs n coal....a 10 minute drive away. Other than that this house was perfect for our family of 4 plus dog as the garden is more than big enough and nice snd enclosed. We will be back 100.
Brilliant location, beautiful views and so close to Porth beach. Dont rely on the hot tub, it takes ages to fire up and doesnt stay warm. Games room is great and the cottage and location outweigh the disappointment of the hot tub.
Katherine
A warm and welcoming stay a few minutes walk from the lovely Porth beach and handy for the coastal path.
Angelique
The property was a Jewel in a Crown! From the moment we all stepped into Chi An Mor, we felt at home and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in Cornwall. The house is a short walk to Porth Beach which is idyllic for a walk across the headland too!
Very nice holiday bungalow short walk to the beach. Very clean. Everything you need. Good size garden. Good parking space. Nice pub with good food just down the hill.
Lovely property, and great location. Would suggest however that there were blinds at the window at the back of the house as very overlooked.
Rebecca
Beautiful place overlooking the coast. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
Lovely stay, great views and very comfortable, our only comment would be that there are limited pans which work on the stove, the kitchen utensils are also of poor quality and not much use.
A lovely well appointed property with the novelty of a Scandinavian hot tub. Beautiful sea view, and a lovely cream tea welcome Thank you
Amazing property in a great location. We went last week during the heatwave and all the beaches are within very easy reach plus Porth beach itself is literally a few minutes walk away. House was spotless and very comfortable with a decent sized gardenenclosed so great for our nosy Beagle!, kitchen well equipped and decent sized fridge and freezer plus a washer dryer. Really useful guidebook for property too. The wood fired hot tub is great, takes a little while to warm up obviously but easy to use and heat, no that it was needed much due to the hot weather! Definitely recommend
Chi An Mor is a beautiful place to stay perfect for young children and pets. Dont miss out on booking here. The view is unbelievable. Met all expectations and the owners made us feel so welcome. Hot tub is a lovely bonus to this home. Made lovely memories here , cant wait to visit again in the future.
Damien
Cottage was lovely. Location was amazing perfect base for us.
Stephanie
Lovely place to stay with lovely views. Chi An Mor was comfortable and well equipped. The dogs loved the garden and a short walk down to Porth beach. Would never tire of the views and fantastic sunsets. Good base to explore some lovely areas and beaches. We will definitely be back
Fantastic location for a quiet break, beautiful house, owners were very attentive and on hand to help if needed before, during and after our stay. Loved the welcome basket on arrival, not just for us but one for the dog too which really put a smile on our faces after a 6 hour drive in the rain. Great beach nearby and a number of the best beaches in the area are only a short drive away, the only downside is the incredibly steep hill you have to walk back up on your way back from the local pub but it was probably what we needed! Beautiful views of the sea from the house which made it feel even more tranquil. We miss it already and cant wait to go back.
Kieran
We both enjoyed our time staying at Chi An Mor, the house was lovely, including all of the artwork. The house was also in a perfect location, just a few minutes walk to Porth beach. Would highly recommend anyone staying here. A highlight was receiving a welcome package for both us and our dog. It was such a lovely and welcoming touch.
Stephanie
Chi an Mor was a lovely property. Located perfectly for exploring Cornwall.
Joanna
Great location and lovely house. House was well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The only negative is that previous guests used the travel cot for their dogs. We had a daughter too young for a bed and wished we brought our own.
The property was loverly and really exceeded expectations. We fell in love very quickly with Porth beach and with it only being a 5 minute walk the house is ideally situated. Both Claire and Ian reassured us theyd be there if we had any questions or problems but that wasnt needed. Just brilliant.
Lovely cottage, bread milk tea jams left which was a good little touch.
We had wonderful time with our 3 Corgis. We were nicely surprised with a welcome pack and doggy treats. Chi An Mor offers everything what we needed during our short break. It's very comfortable and it has a perfect location. Very short walk to a local pub and very close to Porth beaches. Dogs loved the garden which has a good size. We enjoyed relaxing evening by beautiful fire place. Thank you for a great holiday and we hope to be back in the future.
Superb modern, clean well equipped comfortable and warm, even with 70 mph winds outside! Our dog loved the beach walks as well.
Wow! What a beautiful place! We stayed here in October 2019 and loved every second. Upon first arriving, we were greeted with fresh bread and scones with jam and clotted cream and even a bottle of milk! There were treats for our doggy too. Beautifully decorated and very clean, beds are extremely comfy and has great facilities in both bathroom and kitchenutility. A home from home! Had great fun in the garden on the hammock and loved the hot tub, very easy to use. Wood, kindle and firelighters are all supplied, checked on the fire for the hot tub every half hour and mixed the water around, took around 3 hours for hot tub to heat and very worth it! The log burner inside is also very cosy, heats the house up really well. Loved the games room, played ping pong and pool and theres also a cupboard full of board games in utility. Great size tv and comfy sofa in living room and also has a fancy swinging chair. Clean towels and linen are all provided. Really cannot find anything to complain about at all. Very close to a nice beach and pub and all the shops in Newquay. The sea view from the garden is gorgeous. The owner, Ian, stayed in touch throughout the holiday and ensured everything was ok which was very nice of him. Will definitely be staying again, see you soon Chi An Mor!
Rebecca
We had a fantastic stay here at chi an mor, the house was beautiful and very cosy and was in a fantastic location withing walking distance to many beaches and not a far walk into Newquay itself. The seaview was lush and was amazing to watch the sunset every evening from the lounge whist relaxing and also via the hot tub too overlooking Porth beach. Ian and Clare were both so lovely and very helpful and met all the requirements and more we needed, the dogs absolutely loved it, the bread, milk, scones and cream was a lovely touch to arrive too also. Overall very much enjoyed our stay here and will most certainly be returning in the near future.
Really enjoyed our stay at Chi An Mor. The place was immaculate and very comfortable with plenty of amenities. Spectacular views and a lovely 5 minute walk to the beach. My only suggestion would be a small freezer for ice cubes and maybe a maiden or washing line to dry clothes but these are very minor. I can not wait to return. Loved it. Thank you so much for having us x
