Perfect cosy cottage for our family and 3 dogs. We love the themed bedrooms and the hot tub was very welcome after a day out walking. The garden was lovely and fully enclosed and our tiny yorkie didn't manage to escape and she often finds a small gap! Sandie and Charlie were very welcoming and on hand if we had any queries. The cottage was a truly fantastic experience, it gave us a bit of escapism through the stunning original features and cosy feeling inside, coupled with the sun drenched garden in full bloom! We enjoyed a lovely short break at Penny Bun Cottage. The communication from Sandie & Charlie was excellent and a warm welcome. The cottage is beautifully decorated, cosy and lots of lovely touches. Beds are very comfortable. The cottage garden is perfect as is the hot tub and very secure for dogs. Penny bun is in a good location to get to the coas t in about 30 minutes. We also enjoyed some nice dog walks around Polyphant itself. Lovely cottage that we would highly recommend!

The most picture perfect cottage. We loved every minute! Our dogs had the best time in the enclosed garden, the hot tub was brilliant. Excellent base if you want to take day trips by car or walk. We had the best time at Penny Bunn! It's close to the local town and there's some nice shops and the castle to explore. The cottage itself is well equipped and clean. It's spacious too so you don't feel like you're on top of each other. The garden is beautiful and my son and the dog had a great time exploring it. The hot tub after dark was a must f or us after long days out and then coming in to a roaring fire. We can't compliment Sandie and Charlie enough on their wonderful let!

What an amazing cottage. So cosy and homely. The bedrooms are themed with lovely bedding. The kitchen was well equipped, very clean with lots of storage areas. The lounge was very comfortable and benefited from a large wood burner. Ample logs supplied. The hot tub was an added bonus. We managed to get in even on a drizzly cold day. I would definite ly stay at Penny Bun again. The village was quaint and very quiet. Highly recommended for dog owners.

What a lovely cottage. Great location, tucked away in a quiet village with easy access to the A30. The cottage was dog friendly and we found lots of places to visit with our four legged friends. Walking on North Dartmoor, the beach at Widemouth Bay, national trust Cotehele, Lost Gardens of Heligan and the trails at Cardinham Woods are great. Good f ood at the Springer Spaniel pub. Then after a busy day, relax in the hot tub and comfortable cottage. Charlie and Sandie are great hosts.

We really enjoyed our stay at Penny Bun Cottage. It was excellent value and is a lovely quiet cottage with lots of old features still, but very modern also, with the Smart TV. Tassimo machine and hot tub being a big hit during our stay. We stayed as a couple and my best friend joined us with our combined 3 dogs. The garden was beautiful and totally secure for the dogs. Tintagel Castle - PL34 0HE

Tintagel Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cornwall and is an excellent place for a family day out. Situated on the stunning Cornish Coast the Castle has a mystical and magical presence and is steeped in historical importance. Indeed the Legend of King Arthur was born right here. The Castle and grounds also provide a home for many species of wildlife as well as some amazing flora and fauna. The site also has a small visitor's centre with souvenir shop and a wonderful Beach Café.
The Monkey Sanctuary - PL13 1NZ

This attraction is really unique in that you have the opportunity to gain a rare insight into a working sanctuary.  You can see first hand all of the fantastic work carried out as well as seeing the monkeys themselves.  Other popular areas of this attraction include the Bat Cave and Wildlife Room. the Wildlife Gardens and the kids play area.  There is something for everyone at The Monkey Sanctuary and you can also sponsor and donate if you wish.  The cost to adopt a monkey is from just £2 a month.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
