Lauras Cottage Reviews

Rachel
Lovely peaceful.location, with a wonderful welcome, hot tub was lovely , very comfy bed, ideal base for exploring once you get used to the small winding roads
Nicholas
Really quiet location and friendly owners Spotlessly clean and well equipped Really enjoyed our stay
Mark
Had a nice time at Lauras cottage, as did our 2 dogs. Owners were friendly, as were their pets. The nearest town is only a short drive away, and its situated in a good location for visiting different areas of Cornwall. The biggest issue was the lack of wifi signal as mobile network signal is really poor in the area, but other than that, we had a niRead morece vacation. Hide

Comfortable cottage ideal for two people, well within reach of lots of places, but don't expect to get anywhere too quickly due to the typical Cornish road network. Hot tub was a nice touch but would prefer it, if it was a bit more private.
Martin
Our stay at Mike Howard cottage was the best ever holiday I've had in Cornwall will go back every year they made us feel like family also very helpful in all ways ican honestly say I will tell our friends
Shannon
Me and my partner loved it, such an amazing experience, definitely do recommend, would be going back again, the owners are so welcoming, very dog friendly! It was a peaceful place to stay , and quiet.
Simone
Lovely quiet little place just what me and my partner needed, evening in the hot tub topped it off
Scott
Bit of a shame really, it seems the pictures of the property and the reality don't match up. It is a 3 star accommodation with a hot tub, and for us the reality of it was nearer 1. The place was dated (tea towel, bedding, dish cloth) not cleaned properly, cobwebs in bookshelf, damp smell (no extractors in either kitchen or bathroom), temperamental TV remote and hot water tap in kitchen only coming on when you put the cold on, plus error on hot tub. We got a 30% discount, was still too much
Clive
Lovely place brilliant for dogs. Had amazing relaxing time. Chris was very welcoming and helpful with local knowledge and best places to go. Clean and well organised. Hot tub awesome and hot excellent for star gazing
Mike
We had a lovely stay at Laura's cottage where we could unwind after celebrating our amazing (but exhausting) wedding. We enjoyed the hot tub, and the simplicity of the cottage. Our dog especially enjoyed the space to run around in. The cottage is not far from Launceston and other small Cornish towns which we enjoyed exploring. The local distillery at Treguddick was a lovely find and a good idea for a rainy day.
Anthony
Lovely, clean accommodation in a remote but beautiful setting. The cottage has pretty much everything you are likely to need for a week's stay.
Robin
This was a lovely quiet holiday the owners were friendly and helpful and a good base visit Cornwall/Devon
Owen
The location is beautiful, very quiet and just a very relaxing place to be. Even if you're not going to the beach, it's still a nice cottage to unwind in.
Annette
The cottage was lovely, very cosy. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, but not over bearing. I would definitely recommend a stay there.
David
A little too far out of the way, with no local shops or facilities within walking distance
Emily
Cosy little cottage, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying in the country side, in the middle of no where. It was very peaceful. Lovely people who owned it and very welcoming. The hot tub was lush and the bed was very comfy ! So hard to get up in the morning. Couldnt recommend this enough if you are looking for a nice peaceful trip away
Darren
Great location very quite only half hour to an hour drive to most destinations We would book again
Shirley
If your happy in the middle of nowhere then a perfect location. However there was no WiFi, not very good TV reception, no up to date welcome pack ie where to go and what to see, so do your home work first. Property Smelt damp, soft furnishing smelt of dogs, dog poo on the grass. On a plus side hot tub was Ok.
Jo
Lovely very small cottage with no where to hang your clothes, but inside clean and tidy. A bit sparse on the equipment (plates/bowls etc) and no bathmat on the tiles b the shower, which meant the floor was very slippy when you got out. Only 2 towels for 2 for the week was a bit tight. Our big issue was the amount of uncleared up dog muck outside th e cottage, on the day we left 4 loads! The hot tub was lovely and really hot and relaxing.
